Before use
Please note that since the scale is electronic, its functionality may be affected by temperature fluctuations or by you moving the scale. It is therefore recommended that you place the scale somewhere at normal room temperature and allow it to acclimatise for approximately 24 hours before using it for the first time. Its functionality may also be affected by other electronic equipment, such as mobile phones, transmitters and microwave ovens.
Setting the weight unit
Switch the scale on by pressing the button in the centre of the scale. Then set your preferred weight unit to kg or UK pounds (lb) by pressing the round button marked UNIT underneath the scale until the display shows the weight unit you want.
The scale has a maximum tolerance of approximately 0.7%, i.e. if you weigh 70 kg, the weight displayed may be between 69.5 and 70.5. The scale also displays weight in 100 g increments. That means that if you weigh 70.75 kg, the scale will show either 70.7 or 70.8 kg (with 0.7% tolerance).
Tips before weighing
When weighing yourself, you must stand completely still on the scale, as the slightest movement can result in significant variation from the actual weight. Over the course of a day, your body weight can vary, depending on whether or not you are wearing clothes and shoes, or whether you have eaten, etc. What is important is the weight trend over a period of e.g. 14 days or a month, rather than minor variations over a single day or from one day to another.
If you want to check your weight over a longer period, you should therefore consider weighing yourself at roughly the same time of day every time, preferably without clothes and without moving the scale between times.
Use - important
- Place the scale on a firm, level surface.
- Set your preferred weight unit if you have not already done so, see relevant section above.
- Use your foot to quickly press the button in the centre of the scale. The display will be activated and after a second will show a battery symbol, "0.0" and the weight unit.
- Step onto the scale with both feet (place your feet in the same position on the scale each time) and make sure your weight is evenly distributed over both legs and between toe and heel. Remember to stand completely still. You can now read off your weight from the display.
- The display always switches off automatically after 60 seconds and the battery symbol flashes for the last 10 seconds before the scale switches off.
If you overload the scale (max. 150 kg), “Err” appears on the display. Step off the scale as soon as possible in order to protect the load cells.
Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.
