How do I clean the hand blender?

Detach the blending shaft and whisk. Rinse them under running water or place them in the dishwasher (top rack). Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water.

Can I blend hot liquids?

Yes, but allow them to cool slightly (max 80°C) and blend in short bursts. Ensure the blending shaft is fully submerged to avoid splashing.

What is the maximum capacity of the measuring beaker?

The included measuring beaker has a capacity of 600 ml, but you can use any suitable container. Do not overfill beyond the max mark.

How to use the Turbo function?

Press and hold the Turbo button for maximum blending power. Use for tough ingredients like ice or frozen fruits. Release to return to normal speed.

My hand blender stops working during use. What should I do?

Check if the appliance has overheated. If so, unplug and let it cool for 15-20 minutes. Also ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and the outlet is working.

Can I use the blender without the whisk attachment?

Yes, the blending shaft is for soups, sauces, and smoothies. The whisk is for eggs, cream, and light batters. Always attach the correct accessory.

Is the blade removable?

The blade is integrated into the blending shaft and is not removable. Clean it carefully to avoid injury.

Can I blend nuts or ice?

Yes, but use short bursts and the Turbo function. Do not run continuously for more than 30 seconds. Let the motor rest between cycles.

What does the warranty cover?

The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover normal wear, misuse, or damage from improper cleaning. Keep your receipt.

How do I store the hand blender?

Before use

Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth before use and wash all loose parts. The stick mixer can be used for mixing and chopping quickly and simply. Perfect for purées, soups, dressings, baby food, milkshakes and sauces, for whipping cream or chopping nuts, etc. The stick mixer should be used in the container provided, but can also be used in bowls, pots or pans. If you use it with another bowl, you should be careful to avoid splashes.

Use with mixer shaft

Attach the mixer shaft to the motor unit by carefully twisting the shaft so that the arrow on the motor unit is lined up with the closed padlock symbol on the shaft (clockwise). Plug the appliance in. Make sure the cord does not get in the way.

Lower the mixer shaft into the ingredients before starting it to avoid splashes. Use a tall beaker and be careful when mixing hard ingredients (nuts etc) to avoid flying food particles.

Operate the unit at minimum level of speed when beaker is filled up to Max level to avoid splashing of food/liquid during use. Press the power switch and carefully move the stick mixer up and down along the sides of the container using rotating movements. To activate the turbo function, press the turbo button in short bursts. The motor then runs at the highest speed until the button is released. When you release the power switch/turbo button, the motor stops immediately.

As the stick mixer works quickly, most ingredients are ready in under a minute, so it is a good idea to work in short bursts, especially initially when you are not used to using the appliance. Note that the stick mixer may only be used continuously for a maximum of 30 seconds. Then pause for 3 minutes so that the appliance can cool down before starting again. After use, remove the stick mixer from the container and unplug it. Remove the mixer shaft by twisting the motor unit in the direction of the open padlock symbol (anticlockwise). Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the parts as per the table below. Plastic parts may be discoloured by food such as carrots. Grease the parts with a little vegetable oil to remove the discolouring before cleaning them.

Never leave the blades or mixer stick in water for a prolonged period.

Important!

The motor unit must never be rinsed under running water or dipped in water or other liquids. The motor unit must never be placed in the dishwasher.

Note: the container may not be used in a microwave oven.

The conformity according to EN60335 clause 11 was verified by using the following recipe: maltose: 80 g, honey 150 g, ice water 100 g, 8 sec ON + 1 min OFF.

Disposing of the appliance

By law, electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for the recycling of components. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the waste management symbol must be disposed of at a municipal recycling point.

OBH Nordicas sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.

Conditions & Exclusions

OBH Nordica shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. The defective product may be returned to the store of purchase.

This guarantee applies only for products purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow OBH Nordica instructions, or a modification or unauthorised repair of the product, faulty packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the following:

• using the wrong type of water or consumable
• mechanical damages, overloading

• damages or poor results specifically due to wrong voltage or frequency as stamped on the product ID or specification

• ingress of water, dust or insects into the product

• scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use)
• damage as a result of lightning or power surges
• damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
• accidents including fire, flood, etc
• professional or commercial use
