Frequently Asked Questions - LF 015 I FAGOR

How do I install the dishwasher correctly?
Ensure the dishwasher is level using the adjustable feet, connect the water hose to a cold water supply (3/4 inch), and insert the drain hose into a siphon or drain pipe. For electrical connection, plug into a grounded outlet (220-240V). Adjust the height to fit under the countertop.
What do the error codes mean?
Common error codes: E1 (water inlet fault), E2 (drain problem), E4 (overflow), E9 (heater malfunction). Refer to the manual for a full list. Try resetting by turning off for 30 seconds.
How do I clean the filter?
Turn the coarse filter counterclockwise and remove it, then pull out the fine filter. Rinse under running water with a soft brush. Clean the fine filter gently to avoid damage. Reassemble and lock.
Why is the dishwasher not draining?
Check if the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Clean the filter and check the drain pump impeller for debris. Also ensure the siphon connection is not clogged.
What detergent should I use?
Use dishwasher detergent (powder, gel, or tablets) suitable for automatic dishwashers. Do not use hand dish soap. Add to the detergent dispenser; adjust amount based on water hardness.
How do I adjust the rinse aid dosage?
Open the rinse aid dispenser lid, adjust the setting using a screwdriver (1 to 6, 1 is minimal). For hard water, use a higher setting. Wipe any spills.
What does the salt indicator light mean?
The salt indicator lights up when the salt level is low. Refill the salt compartment with dishwasher salt (not table salt). This is essential for water softener operation.
Why are my dishes not drying?
Ensure rinse aid is filled and dosage is correct. Use a heated drying program (if available). Open the door slightly after cycle to allow steam to escape. Avoid overloading.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the 'Delay' and 'Start' buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the indicator appears. To deactivate, repeat. This locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts (filters, spray arms, racks, detergent dispenser) are available from authorized Fagor service centers or online retailers. Use the model number LF 015 I to search.

b

The hose must run between the wall and the bottom space at the back of the dishwasher (b1) so that it is not squashed or overstretched.

There should be a fixed water outlet drain at a distance of between 25 and 100 cm from the floor.

Make sure that the outlet pipe is not too rigid, bent or squashed.

VOK b1

X

max. 100 cm min. 25 cm

If your dishwasher has a hot water inlet, connect the pipe to the hot water tap. In this case, the maximum temperature must not exceed 60°C.

Bear in mind that this type of water supply may affect the washing and drying capacity of the appliance.

IMPORTANT

It is very important for the bend pipe of the outlet hose is located securely in water outlet so that it cannot disconnet. The operating water pressure (minimum and maximum) must be between 0,5-10 bar (0,05-1 megapascals MPa).

3

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Please refer to the specification label on the top edge of the door before making the electrical connections. Make sure that the power voltage connected to the plug socket is as shown on the label.

Scanned label with Chinese text and a QR code, likely from a document or form

IMPORTANT

It is very important for the dishwasher to be connected to an earthed plug socket. The electrical installation, plug, socket, fuses or circuit breaker and meter must be capable of the maximum power shown on the specifications label. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturers, after-sales service (TAS) or authorised personnel. If the appliance is to be recess-mounted and integrated, the plug must be accessible after installation.

4

LEVELLING AND POSITIONING

LEVELLING

The dishwasher must stand firmly on the floor and be completely perpendicular. It must be levelled to correct any possible unevenness of the floor.

a For this, use a spirit level.

b First, level the appliance from back to front; then, level it from left to right. The dishwasher is level when the spirit level bubble is dead centre when placed in any direction.

POSITIONING

If the appliance is to be positioned under a work- ktop, top can be removed or left in position.n;

c If you want to remove the cover, you can do so by removing the two screws from the back of the cover;

d take out the counterweight at the back and, on some models, unfold the sheet of insulation;

e detach the top supports by pulling them towards the back.

Before siting the dishwasher, move it close to where it is to be sited and raise it by turning the back leg until there is a space of 3 mm between the top of the appliance and the base of the worktop.

USING THE APPLIANCE - A FEW PRACTICAL TIPS

1 WATER HARDNESS, SALT, RINSE-AID AND DETERGENT

Adjusting water hardness. Before switching the dishwasher on, check the hardness of the water in your area. This information is available from your local water board, the town hall, the technical assistance service or you can use the Aquadur strip supplied in the bag of accessories.

You may not need to use salt. If this is the case, you can go straight to the section on Rinse-aid. Water contains lime. The higher the lime content, the harder the water. To prevent lime from damaging your dishwasher, it has a water softener to eliminate lime from water and clean it ready for the wash. This softener works with salt.

Controlling the salt level.

Depending on the model, dishwashers will have a manual or electronic salt level control.

MANUAL REGULATION

If there is a salt regulator like the one shown in the photographs (Mod. A-B) inside your dishwasher on the right-hand side, turn it to the number that corresponds to the hardness of the water in your area (see table).

To turn it to the correct position, use a coin (Mod. A) or a screwdriver (Mod. B).

WHERE TO PUT THE SALT

RESERVOIR A SEL

The first time you fill the salt container, you must:

a Pour in the salt but do not fill the container to the top.
b Top it up with water. c Stir with a spoon.
d Close the lid tight and clean the salt around the container.

When the salt container needs filling, you should always do it before a wash and not afterwards.

The dishwasher has a salt container in the bottom of the tub.

Important: use dishwasher salt only.

When do I need to add salt?

Depending on the model, a window on the lid of the salt container or a light indicator on the front of the appliance show when salt is required.

It is recommended that you replace the used salt every fortnight rather than wait for the salt level indicator to light up.

FAGOR LF 015 I - When do I need to add salt? - 1

natural_image Close-up of a white circular button labeled 'WINDOW PILOT LIGHT' (no other text or symbols visible)

natural_image Close-up of a white surface with four small icons: a sun, a circle with a dot, and a plus sign (no readable text or symbols)

IMPORTANT

You should not use salt if your dishwasher does not need it. In this case, the pilot light will remain on at all times.

The rinse-aid helps drying and prevents drops of water from clinging to utensils after washing. The rinse-aid container is located on the inside of the door, next to the detergent container.

It has a 4-position dispenser for adjusting the amount of rinse-aid to the water quality (the dispenser is set at position 2 at the factory).

If you notice drops of water on utensils, increase the position of the rinse-aid dispenser. If the utensils have white or sticky lines, lower the position.

RINSE-AID CONTAINER

IMPORTANT

A greater amount of rinse-aid does not necessarily mean better results. In fact, too much rinse-aid can lead to water marks.

When do I need to add rinse-aid?

The dishwasher tells you when you need to add more rinse-aid. Depending on the model, there are two types of indicator: window or pilot light.

EMPTY FULL WINDOW PILOT LIGHT

A pilot light on the front of the dishwasher indicates when the rinse-aid container needs to be topped up.

The detergent is poured into a container on the inside of the door, next to the rinse-aid container.

Tablet, powder and liquid detergent can be used.

The amount of detergent required is shown in the table on page 69.

ECOLOGICAL WASHING

Using more detergent and rinse-aid than necessary does not improve the results of your dishwasher and besides leading to higher costs, it has a negative effect on the environment.

2

TABLEWARE AND UTENSILS. TYPES AND POSITIONING

Not all utensils can be washed in a dishwasher. Do not attempt to wash items made of wood or earthenware or plastic that is not heat resistant.

Stainless steel cutlery can be washed easily; however, ensure that

silver cutlery does not come into contact as they may stain.

Items made of aluminium may fade in time.

Patterns on decorated porcelain may wear off if the quality is

not good. Check with the manufacturer of China.

Only wash glasses that are dishwasher-compatible.

Cut glass should not be washed in dishwasher.

IMPORTANT

Please make sure your utensils are dishwasher-compatible.

Placing the utensils in the dishwasher

It is very important to place the utensils correctly in the racks to guarantee a perfect wash.

a

The lower rack is for dirtier, more resistant items: pans, oven dishes and plates. Make sure there is sufficient space between each one for the jet of water. Pots must be placed upside down.

b

If your model has fold-down racks, you can use them in vertical position for washing plates or in horizontal position for large items such as saucepans.

LOADING PLATES

IMPORTANT

Bowls are placed on the left and plates on the right. Start loading plates from the outside of the rack to the inside. Plates should not be touching.

C

Les couverts, Except for knives, cutlery should be placed in the cutlery rack, with the handles at the bottom.

d

Place the more delicate items, such as cups, glasses, porcelain or crystal, and standard-size plates in the top rack. Long cutlery has a special place. There are also racks which, when vertical, are for holding wine glasses.

When you choose the Express programme, the Top load or Half-load function, the utensils should be placed in the top rack.

On the other hand, when you choose the Bottom load function, the utensils should be placed in the bottom rack only.

IMPORTANT

Make sure that, once the dishwasher has been loaded, the spray arms rotate without any obstructions and the cutlery does not interfere with the opening of the detergent compartment cover.

Adjusting the racks

The racks can be adjusted in accord with the load.

The top rack can be placed at two different heights for washing different-sized plates.

In the upper position, the top rack holds standard-size plates of up to 19 cm and the bottom rack holds plates of up to 31 cm. In the lower position, the top rack holds plates of up to 24 cm and the bottom rack holds plates of up to 26 cm.

a Top rack model A:

This can be adjusted without being removed from its rails, even when loaded with utensils. To raise or lower its position, pull the rack upwards by the side handles. Check that both sides are at the same height. If not, make them level.

b Top rack model B:

Remove the stop that prevents the rack wheels from coming out of the rails. Pull the rack towards you and take it out. Position the basket at the height required. Replace the stop in its original position making sure it fits right in longitudinally on the rail; you will hear a click when it locks in place.

25 g of powder non-concentrated detergent is the equivalent of one and a half flat soup spoons or one tablet of detergent.

For tablet or liquid detergent, follow the detergent manufacturer's recommendations.

* Values for a 60W motor and 12 place settings.

** In compliance with the EN-50242 standard, the economy wash programme takes longer than the other programmes; however, it consumes less energy and is more environment-friendly. A 3-send continuous beep and a light indicate the end of the programme.

*** The Express programme requires powder or liquid detergent, which dissolves easier.

Wash functions must always be selected after the wash programme has been selected. If the programme is changed during the selection, the previously selected functions are cancelled.

These functions make it possible to adjust the wash load, times and consumption to a maximum.

The additional functions available depend on the model:

FAGOR LF 015 I - The additional functions available depend on the model: - 1

Button: Time delay

This makes it possible to delay the start of the wash programme. Some models can delay the wash 3, 6 or 9 hours. In this case, when you press the time delay button, a pilot light comes on to indicate the chosen option.

On other models, it is possible to select the time you wish to delay the wash from 1 to 9 hours, at hourly intervals. This is ideal for cheap rate periods. On these models, when you press the time delay button, the display shows the number of hours you wish to delay the start of the wash.

FAGOR LF 015 I - Button: Time delay - 1

Button: Time reduction

This reduces the wash and dry times. This option can be used with Intensive, Normal, Automatic and Economy programmes.

FAGOR LF 015 I - Button: Express (top) - 1

Button: Top/bottom load

Only half the dishwasher capacity is used. Top load, in the top rack, for more delicate utensils, and Bottom load, in the bottom rack, for sauce-pans or very dirty utensils. Valid for all programmes.

FAGOR LF 015 I - Button: Top/bottom load - 1

Button: Half-load

This washes half a load in the top rack only. Valid for all programmes.

IMPORTANT

If you change the programme or press the ON/OFF button while selecting the additional functions, all the functions selected are cancelled.

ECOLOGICAL WASHING

If the model has an Eco-Sensor, you can save 25% water with the Intensive or Normal programme. The Eco-Sensor detects how dirty the pre-wash water is and, if it is clean enough, it reuses it in the wash.

5 START-UP

8 POWER CUTS

After a power cut, the dishwasher continues to work as normal from where it stopped (it has

a minimum memory of 12 hours, depending on model type).

9 BASIC TIPS

There a few things you should always bear in mind. If you do, your dishwasher will last longer and be more efficient.

a Fill the dishwasher: Try to make the most of your dishwasher's capacity. This will help you reduce water and electricity consumption and lead to quieter operation and be more economical.
b Position utensils correctly. For best quality washes, the spray arms should be able to spin freely. Likewise, the utensils should be positioned correctly to ensure that they are reached by the jet of water.
c Programme selection. Select the correct wash programme and additional functions as required.
d Cleaning. Clean the filters and spray arms every three months. Also check that they are correctly in place.

APPLIANCE MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

You should perform the cleaning operations regularly so that your dishwasher will last longer.

You should do the following every three months:

  • Clean the filter.
  • Clean the spray arms.
  • Clean the inside.
  • Clean the outside.
This will make your dishwasher last longer.

IMPORTANT

If you are planning to be away for a long period, leave the dishwasher door open so that the air can circulate freely inside the machine.

1 CLEANING THE WASH FILTER

The filter is made up of two or three parts (depending on model type): interior filter, exterior filter and filter protector. It is located at the bottom of the dishwasher under the bottom rack.

a Take out the bottom rack, remove the interior filter by turning it anti-clockwise and pulling it upwards.
b Remove the exterior filter.
c Remove the filter protector (some models)..

d It is essential that filters are put back in place correctly. Make sure the filter protector is in place. The exterior filter fits into position.

Put the interior filter in position and turn it clockwise as far as it will go.

2

CLEANING THE SPRAY ARMS

The third spray arm (some models), the top spray arm and the bottom spray arm must be cleaned every three months. Removing the spray arms:

a

Remove the third spray arm by pressing it upwards and unscrewing it.

b

The top spray arm fits on the top rack. To remove it, unscrew it.

C

Remove the bottom spray arm by loosening the bottom nut and then pulling the arm upwards.

They should be cleaned under running water using a non-abrasive sponge.

IMPORTANT

Before any cleaning or maintenance operations, unplug the dishwasher from the mains.

3

CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE

The dishwasher should be cleaned every three months to remove the dirt lodged in the appliance.

Instead of detergent, use appliance cleaner (follow the manufacturer's instructions).

4

CLEANING THE OUTSIDE OF THE APPLIANCE

Clean the outside with a cloth and soapy water. Use non-scratch and non-abrasive products. Dry with a cloth.
