Only the most robust equipment can meet the demands of high-end production facilities. That's why Canon designed its new ColorPASS-Z7400 Color Server with the technology and features necessary to perform in even the most challenging situations. This new ColorPASS is built on an architecture that excels at any high-volume production assignment, including quick turnarounds required by commercial printers, print-for-pay centers, and central reprographic departments.
The ColorPASS-Z7400 processes the largest graphics files quickly, so you can produce catalogs, posters, and other oversized color-critical files with ease. Designed by EFI in conjunction with Canon, the ColorPASS-Z7400 is driven by a dual Intel® Xeon™ 2.8GHz processor, and is equipped with 1GB of RAM and a 320GB HD. It runs on a Windows® XPE Platform and easily handles variable data by supporting a number of different utilities and languages, including Fiery FreeForm™ and PPML.
This color server is packed with features that make it perfect for color-critical situations. It includes Canon's Graphic Arts Feature Set, which offers Spot-On® Color Matching to reproduce PANTONE® colors closely, Auto Trapping to ensure
proper registration, and Hot Folders to eliminate the time-consuming task of configuring print settings for multiple jobs. Connect the ColorPASS-Z7400 to your CLC 5100 or CLC 4000 and you've got a complete production solution that outputs color so stunning it will satisfy the most discriminating customers.
Control your projects
The ColorPASS-Z7400 puts you in control. It comes complete with ColorWise® 3.2, the color management solution that lets you utilize ICC profiles and customize color curves. And it offers advanced calibration technologies that capture the look you want with brilliant, accurate colors, time and time again.
With the ColorPASS-Z7400, you'll also enjoy the benefits of Command WorkStation™ 4.1, the comprehensive and centralized print-job management software. You can effortlessly track, edit, and merge any number of jobs from a single location. Plus, you can quickly preview PDF files and scale images to fit various paper sizes. Canon has also armed this color server with a standard advanced controller interface kit, so you can run Command WorkStation directly from the ColorPASS.
Expand your system
You can build a powerful network printing system easily by integrating the ColorPASS-Z7400 into your existing network with NetWise™ 3. And the ColorPASS offers two Ethernet connections: a 10/100/1000Base-T connection to join conventional networks, and a gigabit connection to hook into the most advanced, high-speed networks. Once connected, you'll have access to a number of advanced capabilities, like E-mailing jobs directly to the server for printing.

The ColorPASS-Z7400 transforms your CLC 5100 or CLC 4000 into a complete production solution. It works seamlessly with Canon's Nagel Finisher, and it comes complete with DocBuilder Pro™ 2.2 as an imposition tool, so you can easily produce saddle-stitched and trimmed booklets.
