Comment nettoyer le grille pain ?

Débranchez l'appareil et laissez-le refroidir. Retirez le plateau à miettes par la gauche et videz-le. Essuyez l'extérieur avec un chiffon humide. Ne jamais immerger l'appareil dans l'eau ni utiliser de produits abrasifs.

Comment utiliser le support pour petits pains ?

Appuyez sur le bouton du support vers le bas pour le déplier. Placez les petits pains sur le support. Réglez la molette de brunissage sur 7 et abaissez le chariot. Le support se replie automatiquement après utilisation.

Pourquoi le grille pain s'arrête-t-il avant que le pain soit grillé ?

Le réglage du brunissage est probablement trop bas. Augmentez le niveau sur la molette de 1 à 7 pour un grillage plus poussé.

Puis-je griller des aliments autres que du pain ?

Non, l'appareil est conçu uniquement pour griller des tranches de pain, des petits pains et des gaufres. Ne pas l'utiliser avec d'autres aliments.

Que faire si le pain brûle ?

Appuyez immédiatement sur le bouton STOP pour interrompre le cycle. La prochaine fois, réduisez le niveau de brunissage.

Le câble d'alimentation est endommagé, que faire ?

Pour éviter tout danger, le câble doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après-vente ou une personne qualifiée. N'utilisez pas l'appareil avec un câble endommagé.

Comment ranger le grille pain ?

Laissez l'appareil refroidir complètement. Enroulez le câble d'alimentation autour du support sous la base. Stockez dans un endroit sec.

Le grille pain ne s'allume pas, que vérifier ?

Vérifiez que la fiche est bien branchée et que la prise murale fonctionne. Assurez-vous que le chariot est enfoncé jusqu'à l'enclenchement. Si le problème persiste, contactez le service client.

Puis-je mettre le grille pain au lave-vaisselle ?

Intended use

This appliance is intended for:

• Toasting slices of bread, rolls and waffles.
• Use exclusively in domestic environments.

It is not intended for:

• Use with other foods or other materials.
• Use in commercial or industrial environments.

Safety Notices

To avoid potentially fatal risks through electric shock:

• The mains voltage at the mains socket must match that shown on the rating plate on the device.
• Never insert cutlery or other metallic objects into the toaster slots.
• Ensure that the toaster does not come into contact with water when the power plug is in the socket. This applies especially if you use it in the kitchen and close to the sink.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• After use, always remove the power plug from the wall socket. This prevents the unintentional switching on of the appliance.

• Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or moist when the appliance is in use. Place the power cable such that it cannot become jammed or otherwise damaged in any way. Should the power plug and/or cable become damaged, arrange for it/them to be replaced by our Customer Service Department before re-using the appliance.

To avoid fire and injury risks:

• The appliance can become hot when it is in use. Therefore, only touch the operating elements.
• Bakery products can burn! Thus, DO NOT place the appliance under inflammable objects, especially curtains and drapes.
• NEVER cover the toaster when it is in use.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Operate the appliance only on a stable, non-slippery and level surface.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Always completely unwrap the power cable from the retainer at the base of the toaster when using the appliance.

Taking into use

Before taking the appliance into use ensure that ...

• the appliance itself, the power cable and the plug 6 are in a serviceable condition, and ...
• all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
  First of all, clean the appliance as described in the chapter "Cleaning and Care".
  Completely unwrap the power cable from the retainer at the base of the toaster and lead it through one of the cable clasps on the side of the appliance.

Then heat the appliance up a couple of times to remove production residues from the heating coils. It is to be considered as normal should a slight odour be created by this:

To do this, insert the plug 6 into the wall socket and set the toasting dial 4 to "7".

Press the bread carriage 2 down until it engages. The light 3 glows.

The appliance then heats itself to its maximum temperature. As soon as the maximum temperature is reached, the bread carriage 2 returns to the top automatically. The light 3 extinguishes and the appliance switches itself off.

Press the STOP button 3 to interrupt the heating process. The bread carriage 2 then returns to its upper position, the light 3 extinguishes and the appliance switches itself off.

Caution: Do not lift the bread carriage by hand during the toasting process. This may damage the mechanism.

Remove the power plug 6 from the power socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
Clean the appliance as described in the chapter "Cleaning and Care".

Toasting

Place the slices of bread into the bread carriage.
Turn the toasting dial 4 to the desired setting and ...
press the bread carriage 2 down until it engages. The light 3 glows.

As soon as the bread is toasted the bread carriage ② returns to its upper position automatically. The light ③ extinguishes and the appliance switches itself off.

Press the STOP button 3 to interrupt the toasting process. The bread carriage 2 then returns to its upper position, the light 3 extinguishes and the appliance switches itself off.

Warming bread rolls

Press the bread roll holder button ⑦ downwards. The bread roll holder ① folds itself out.
Place the bread rolls on it and start the toasting process as described in the chapter "Toasting". Thereby, adjust the toasting dial 4 to a maximum level of 7.
When the toasting process is finished and you no longer require the bread roll holder 1, press the bread roll holder button 7 upwards. The bread roll holder 1 folds itself in.

Cleaning and Care

Risk of lethal electric shock:

• Never open the housing of the appliance. There are no user-serviceable elements inside.

NEVER submerge the appliance or its components in water or other fluids!

Before cleaning the appliance:

First, remove the power plug 6 from the wall socket.
Allow the appliance to cool down.
Draw the crumb tray 5 out to the left. Remove all residual crumbs.

Caution: Bakery products can burn! Clean the toaster after every usage to prevent flammable crumbs from accumulating.

Clean all outer surfaces and the power cable with a lightly moistened cloth. Dry the appliance well before re-using it.
Do not use detergents or solvents. These could damage the appliance and leave residues on the next bakery products to be toasted.

In the case of stubborn soiling:

Under no circumstances should you use hard abrasive objects.
NEVER insert miscellaneous solid objects into the bread carriage slots! These could damage the appliance.
Instead, place a damp piece of cloth onto the stubborn soiling in order to soften it.

Storage

First allow the appliance to cool down completely before placing it in storage.

Wind the power cable around the holder under the bottom of the toaster.
Store the appliance in a dry location.

Disposal

Under no circumstances may the appliance be disposed of with normal household waste.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your local waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your local waste disposal centre.

Dispose of packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
