WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSINFORMATIONEN

Für beste Grillresultate und um Bedienungsfehler zu vermeiden, lesen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch

• Dieses Produkt ist für das Kochen oder Grillen von Lebensmitteln geeignet und sollte nicht für andere Zwecke eingesetzt werden.
• Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Anleitung verursacht werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch. Für Folgeschäden, die daraus resultieren, übernehmen wir keine Haftung.
• Dieses Produkt kann nur mit den auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Nenndaten betrieben werden.
• Vergewissern Sie sich das die Angaben auf dem Typenschild mit den Nenndaten des öffentlichen Versorgungsnetzes übereinstimmen.
• Stecken Sie den Stecker nur in eine geerdete Steckdose mit mindestens 10A Leistungsbeanspruchung.
• Die Steckdose muss für den an der Anschlussleitung befindlichen Stecker geeignet sein.

• Sollten Sie Zweifel daran haben oder sich nicht sicher sein ob die Nenndaten übereinstimmen, wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann.

• Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen Räumen, also nicht im Freien, erlaubt.

• Eine andere Verwendung, wie zuvor oder im weiteren in dieser Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung dieses Produktes, darüber hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z.B. Kurzschluß, Brand, elektrischer Schlag etc. verbunden. Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert, bzw. umgebaut werden, da sonst die Einhaltung der Schutzklasse nicht mehr gewährleistet ist!

Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu befolgen. Der Hersteller/Importer ist nicht für Schäden haftbar die auf Nichtbeachtung dieser Bedienungsanleitung oder fahrlässiger Handlung zurückzuführen ist oder das Produkt entgegen der Anweisungen der Bedienungsanleitung eingesetzt wird.

• Der Stecker darf nie mit nassen Händen ein- oder ausgesteckt werden.
• Ziehen Sie nie an der Netzleitung selbst, ziehen Sie an der GriffGäche den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
• Beachten Sie beim Aufstellen des Produktes, dass die Anschlußleitung nicht gequetscht oder durch scharfe Kanten beschädigt wird.
• Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose und warten Sie bis das Gerät auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt ist;
• Bevor Sie es wieder einpacken oder bei Entfernen der Grillplatten
• Vor jeder Reinigung
• Nach jedem Gebrauch
• bei längerer Nichtbenutzung.

ACHTUNG: Die Grillplatten sind HEI!!, Lassen !ie das Gerät nach Gebrauch auf Raumtemperatur abkühlen (ca. 1 Stunde) bevor Sie die Grillplatten zur Reinigung entfernen oder das Produkt wieder zur Aufbewahrung einpacken.

• Ziehen Sie immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie das Produkt reinigen. Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch.
• Ersetzen Sie nie eine schadhafte Anschlußleitung selbst. Trennen Sie das Produkt in einem solchen Fall vom Netz und bringen sie in

eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt weil Spezialwerkzeug notwendig ist.

- Wenn anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, so ist das Produkt ausser Betrieb zu setzen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb zu sichern. Es ist anzunehmen, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, wenn:

-das Produkt oder die Anschlußleitung sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist

-das Produkt nicht mehr arbeitet

-nach längerer Lagerung unter ungünstigen Verhältnissen

-nach schweren Transportbeanspruchungen, sichtbaren Schäden

- ACHTUNG: Benutzen !ie das Produkt nur mit eingesetzten Grillplatten.

- Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab acht Jahren und älter sowie von Personen mit eingeschränkten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten bzw. Mangel an Erfahrung und Kenntnissen verwendet werden, sofern sie zuvor in der sicheren Benutzung des Geräts unterwiesen worden sind und die einhergehenden Gefahren verstehen.

- Kinder dürfen mit dem Gerät nicht spielen.

- Reinigungs und Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen dürfen nur von Kindern über 8 Jahren und unter Aufsicht durchgeführt werden.

- Gerät und Kabel dürfen nicht in die Hände von Kindern unter 8 Jahren gelangen.

- Das Gerät ist nicht dafür vorgesehen, über eine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder separate Fernbedienung gesteuert zu werden.

- Bei Beschädigung des Netzkabels ist dieses durch eine qualifizierte Person auszutauschen, um eine Gefährdung zu vermeiden.

- Stellen Sie sicher das sich die Netzanschlussleitung entfernt von Geräteteilen befindet die starke Hitze verursachen.

- Reinigen Sie die beiden Grillplatten bevor Sie diese benutzen.

- Die Grillplatten müssen nach jeder Reinigung trocken sein bevor Sie diese wieder einsetzen.

• Überprüfen Sie ob die Netzanschlussleitung freiliegt wenn Sie die Platten einsetzen und die Verriegelung betätigen.
• Benutzen Sie nur geprüfte Anschlussleitungen.
• Das Produkt darf niemals in Wasser eingetaucht werden.

VOR ERSTER INBETRIEBNAHME

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme reinigen

• Entfernen Sie das gesamte Verpackungsmaterial, wie Karton und Folien.
• Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler in die Stellung MIN (OFF (AUS)).
• Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig ab.
• Reinigen Sie die OberGäche der Grillplatten mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch und lassen sie vollständig trocknen.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine stabile, trockene, rutschfeste und hitzebeständige Fläche.
• Sorgen Sie während des Betriebs für eine ausreichende Belüftung im Raum durch Öffnen des Fensters.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Grillplatten gut befestigt sind. Falls nicht, öffnen Sie das Gerät und befestigen Sie die Platten.
• Öffnen Sie das Gerät und setzen Sie die Platte in die beiden Führungen auf der Rückseite des Geräts ein (Abb. 1). Ziehen Sie die Platte etwas über den Rand der Vorderseite des Geräts. Dann drücken Sie leicht auf die Platte, bis sie einrastet (Abb. 2). Der Clip muss einrasten und die Platte muss gut befestigt sein.

• Schließen Sie den Deckel.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Geräts in eine Steckdose. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler im Uhrzeigersinn in die Stellung MAX. Die Kontrolllampe leuchtet auf.

Hinweis: Wenn das Gerät zum ersten Mal erhitzt wird, können Fettrückstände vom Fertigungsprozess ein wenig Rauch verursachen. Der auftretende Geruch ist harmlos und hört nach einer Weile auf.

• Heizen Sie das Gerät 10 Minuten lang auf.
- Schalten Sie es danach aus und ziehen den Netzstecker.
- Öffnen Sie den Deckel und lassen das Gerät abkühlen.
- Wischen Sie die Grillplatten mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch ab, um Rückstände zu entfernen.

BEDIENUNG DES GRILLS

Vorbereitung

• Bereiten Sie zunächst Ihre Nahrung vor, indem Sie sie in kleine Portionen schneiden, säubern und marinieren oder würzen.
• Feuchtes Grillgut, wie Fisch oder aufgetaute Speisen müssen zuerst getrocknet werden.
• Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig ab.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine stabile, trockene, rutschfeste und hitzebeständige Fläche.

- Vorsicht! Das Gerät verfügt auf der rechten Seite über eine Ölablaufrinne.

Stellen Sie eine Abtropfschale, die groß genug ist oder auch ein Backblech unter die Ölablaufrinne, damit kein Öl unter das Gerät und auf den Arbeitsplatz läuft.

• Fetten Sie die Grillplatten leicht mit etwas Öl ein.
• Schließen Sie den Deckel.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Geräts in eine Steckdose. Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Gerät über zwei Temperaturregler und zwei Kontrolllampen verfügt eine für jede Grillplatte. Sie können nur eine oder beide gleichzeitig benutzen. Drehen Sie die(den) Temperaturregler im Uhrzeigersinn in die Stellung

MAX. Die Kontrolllampe(n) leuchtet(n) auf.

• Wenn sich das Gerät aufgeheizt hat, öffnen Sie den Deckel und geben Sie Ihre zubereiteten Speisen auf die Grillplatte.
• Vorsicht! Zum Schutz der Grillplatten niemals scharfkantige oder metallische Gegenstände verwenden, diese können die Antihaft-Beschichtung der Platten beschädigen. Benutzen Sie nur einen hitzebeständigen Schaber aus Kunststoff oder Holz.
• Die Grilldauer hängt von den Speisen, der Größe und dem Gewicht ab. Siehe aufgedruckten Hinweis auf dem Gerät als . Referenz Er gibt einige Standardwerte für z. B. Toast, Huhn, Fisch, Wurst usw. in Minuten an.

- Vorsicht! Das Gerät wird während des Betriebs sehr heiß! Nur den hitzeisolierten Kunststoffgriff anfassen. Niemals die heißen Grillplatten oder das Gehäuse anfassen. Das heiße Gerät nicht umsetzen.

- Vorsicht! Verbrennungs- oder Verbrühungsgefahr! Während des Betriebs tritt sehr heißer Dampf aus. Vorsicht! Am Griff kann sich kondensiertes Wasser befinden! Verwenden Sie Ofenhandschuhe, um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden!

ZUSAMMENKLAPPEN

Tipp: Ziehen Sie aus Sicherheitsgründen den Netzstecker des Geräts. Probieren Sie anschließend vor der Benutzung ein paar Mal verschiedenen Klappstellungen aus, damit Sie sich an die Klappfunktion gewöhnen.

3 Klappstellungen stehen zur Verfügung:

A: Kontaktgrill
B: Backen
C. und D: Klappstellung bei 180° für Barbecue-Grillen und für großes Grillgut

Klappfunktion A:

• Stellen Sie den Grill in die gewünschte Stellung, bevor Sie den Netzstecker anschließen.
• Funktion A (siehe Abbildung) ist für dünne bis mittlere Fleischstücke oder Sandwiches usw. geeignet.
• Öffnen Sie den oberen Deckel und geben das Grillgut auf die untere Grillplatte.
• Schließen Sie den oberen Deckel, indem Sie ihn vorsichtig nach unten drücken.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker ein. Stellen Sie die Temperaturregler auf eine mittlere bis hohe Temperatur ein.
• Das Grillen hängt von der Art der einzelnen Speisen ab.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät geschlossen, um die Hitze zu halten.

Klappfunktion B:

• Stellen Sie den Grill in die gewünschte Stellung, bevor Sie den Netzstecker anschließen.
• Funktion B (siehe Abbildung) ist zum Aufwärmen von Sandwiches oder zum Überbacken von Fleisch geeignet.
• Öffnen Sie den oberen Deckel und geben das Grillgut auf die untere Grillplatte.
• Schließen Sie den oberen Deckel, indem Sie ihn vorsichtig in die mittlere Stellung herunterdrücken.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker ein. Stellen Sie die Temperaturregler auf eine hohe Temperatur ein.
• Das Grillen hängt von der Art der einzelnen Speisen ab.

Klappfunktion C und D (180° geöffnet)

• Stellen Sie den Grill in die gewünschte Stellung, bevor Sie den Netzstecker anschließen.
• Funktion C und D (siehe Bild) sind zum Grillen mittlerer und dicker Fleischstücke usw. geeignet.
• Öffnen Sie den oberen Deckel um 180° und geben Sie das Grillgut auf eine oder beide Grillplatten.
• Stecken Sie den Netzstecker ein. Stellen Sie die Temperaturregler auf eine mittlere bis hohe Temperatur ein.

- Das Grillen hängt von den einzelnen Speisen ab.

REINIGUNG

• Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf 0 und ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Warten Sie ungefähr eine Stunde bevor Sie die Grillplatten zur Reinigung entfernen.
• Reinigen Sie das Produkt nach jedem Gebrauch von Lebensmittelresten um unerwünschten Geruch bei der nächsten Benutzung vorzugeugen.
• Entfernen Sie die beiden Grillplatten bei leichtem Zug der Klammern (L), die die Grillplatte in der Mitte an der Vorderseite festklemmen. Heben Sie die Grillplatte gleichzeitig etwas an.
• Tauchen Sie nur die Grillplatten in warmes Wasser, lassen Sie diese für ungefähr 30 Minuten im Wasser. Festgebackene Lebensmittelreste lassen sich so leicht entfernen. (Die Grillplatten sind Spülmaschinenfest)
• Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung der Grillplatten keine spitzen, scharfen harten Gegenstände die die Anti-Haft-Beschichtung beschädigen könnten.
• Bevor Sie die Platten wieder einsetzen müssen diese absolut trocken sein.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the following safety instructions carefully before using the grill, to obtain the best results and avoid making any errors.

• This appliance is designed to cook food and should not be used for any other purposes, or modified or tampered with in any way.
• In case of damages, caused through not paying attention to this instruction manual, the warranty expires at once. For damages, which result from that, we do not take any responsibility.
• This Product can only be used according to its Rating information on the rating label.
• Make sure the national Voltage supply is in compliance with the rating label information. If you have any doubt about the way of operating the product or you are not sure about the compliance of the ratings with the national power supply please contact an authorized electrician/Service center.
• The power source should be able to support a power-consumption with at least 10A.
• The socket must be designed that the attached plug will fit into it.
• This Product is for indoor use only! It is not suitable for outdoor use.
• Please prevent the product to be exposed to excessive dirt and humidity.

Attention: Allow the appliance to cool down for about 1 Hour before cleaning or storing it away.

- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning. Clean the product itself with a slightly damp cloth.

- Never replace a damaged power cord by yourself. In such case contact an authorized electrician/Service center because special tools are required.

- If you assume that the operating of the product without dangers is not any longer possible please make sure that the product will be disconnected and not used any longer. The safe operating of this product is not any longer possible, if:

• the product or the power cord is damaged in any way
• the product does not work any longer
• after a longer storage under unfavorable conditions
• after heavy damage through transportation

- Attention: Use the product only with the grill plates fitted in.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Make sure that the supply cord does not come into contact with any part of the grill that generates heat when the appliance is being used.
• Wash the two non-stick grill plates thoroughly before using the grill.
• Grill plates must be perfectly dry before being fitted to the appliance.
• Makes sure that the Power cord is free when the Grill-plates are inserted.
• Always use approved extension cords.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Cleaning before first use

• Remove all packaging material as carton and foils.
• Ensure that the temperature control is in MIN Position (OFF).
• Unroll the cord completely.
• Clean the surface of the grill plates with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Place the unit on a stable, dry non-slip and heat resistant surface.
• Ensure to have enough areation in the room while operating by opening the window.
• Ensure that the grill plates are fixed properly. If not open the unit and fix the plates.
• Open the appliance and insert the plate into both guides at the back of the unit (Fig 1). Ensure to pull the plate slightly over the rim of the front side of the unit.
  Then press the plate slightly till it is engaged (Fig. 2). The clip must be engaged properly and the plate must be fixed firmly.

• Close the lid.
• Connect the appliance to the current. Turn the temperature switch clockwise to MAX position. The control lamp is illuminated.

Information: When the unit is heated up for the first time the grease residues from the manufacturing process might cause little smoke. The smell which might occur is harmless and will stop after a while.

• Let the unit heat up until the steam but with the term of 10 minutes.
• Switch off after this process and unplug.
• Open the lid and let the unit cool down.
• Wipe the grill plates with a slightly damp cloth to remove residues.

HYW TY U!E THE GRILLING

Preparing

• First prepare your food by cutting into pieces, clean, marinate or spice.
• Wet food like fish or defrosted food must be dried first.
  • Unroll the cord completely
• Place the unit on a stable, dry non-slip and heat resistant surface.

- Caution! The unit has an oil gutter on the right. Place a drip cup which is big enough or even a baking tray under the gutter to avoid oil running under the unit and onto the

working place.

- Grease the grill plates slightly with some oil.

- Close the lid.

- Connect the appliance to the current. Please note that the appliance has two thermostat controls and two control lamps - one for each grillplate. You can use one only or both at a time. Switch the temperatur control(s) clockwise to MAX position. The control lamp(s) will illuminate.

- When heated up, open the lid and put your prepared food onto the grill plate.

- Caution! To protect the grill plates never use sharp edged or metallic objects, this might damage the non-stick coating of the plates. Only use wooden or heat resistant plastic spatula.

- The duration of the grilling process depends on product, size and weight. See the silk screening on the appliance for reference. It shows some standard values in minutes for e.g. toast, chicken, fish, sausage...

- Caution! The unit gets very hot during operation! Only touch the heat insulated plastic handle. Never touch hot grill plates or the housing. Do not carry the hot unit.

- Caution! Danger of burning or scalding! When in operation very hot steam exhausts. Caution! Condensation water could be at the handle! Use oven cloth to avoid burning!

HYW TY FYLD

Hint: Unplug the appliance for safety reason. Then try the different folding positions a few times before use to get accustomed with the folding function.

3 folding-positions are available:

A: Contact grill

B: Bake

C. and D: Folding position at 180^ for BBQ-grilling and for large foods Fig. similar:

Folding function A:

• Set the grill into desired position before you plug-in.
• Function A (see picture) is suitable for thin to medium slices of meats or sandwiches etc.
• Open the upper lid, place the food on the lower grill plate.
• Close upper lid by pushing it gently down.
• Plug in. Set the temperature switch to medium to higher temperature.
• The grilling time depends on the individual foodstuff.
• Keep the unit closed in order to keep the heat.

Folding function B:

• Set the grill into desired position before you plug-in.
• Function B (see picture) is suitable for scalloping sandwiches or meats “au gratin”.
• Open the upper lid, place the food on the lower grill plate.
• Close upper lid by pushing it gently down to middle position.
• Plug in. Set the temperature switch to higher temperature.
• The grilling time depends on the individual foodstuff.

Folding function C and D (open 180°)

• Set the grill into desired position before you plug-in.
• Function C and D (see picture) is suitable for grilling medium and thick slices of meats etc.
• Open the upper lid by 180^ and place the food on one or both grill plates.
• Plug in. Set the temperature switch to medium or higher temperature.
• The grilling time depends on the individual foodstuff.

CLEANING

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down for about 1 hour before cleaning.
• Clean the appliance after each use to prevent unpleasant smells or fumes from being emitted when it is used next time.
• Remove the 2 grill plates, pulling the release catches(L) and wash either by hand in hot water or in a dishwasher.
• Leave the plates to soak in warm water to remove any residue left during cooking.
• Do not use abrasive tools or cleaning agents as these may scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
• Refit the clean plates on the appliance making sure that they are perfectly dry.
