Please read the information contained herein so that you can become familiar with your device quickly and take advantage of the full scope of its functions. Your Crepes Maker KREP56 will serve you for many years if you handle it and care for it properly. We wish you a lot of pleasure in using it!

Information on this manual

These Operating Instructions are a component of the Crepes Maker KREP56 (referred to hereafter as the device) and provide you with important information for the initial commissioning, safety, intended use and care of the device. The Operating Instructions must be available at all times at the device. This Operating Manual must be read and applied by every person who is instructed to work with the device: - Commissioning - Operation - Troubleshooting and/or - Cleaning Keep the Operating Manual in a safe place and pass it on to the subsequent owner along with the device.

There is a danger of an electrical shock if live connections are touched and the electrical or mechanical structure is altered. In addition, functional faults on the device can also occur. \- Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly or if it has been damaged or dropped. Unpacking

Remove the device out of the carton, remove the packaging material, shovel and measuring container.

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device against damages during transit. The packaging materials are selected in accordance with environmentally compatible and recycling-related points of view and can therefore be recycled.  Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw materials and reduces the quantities of accumulated waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer required to «Green Dot» recycling collection points for disposal.

Please note

\- If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the duration of the guarantee period of the device, in order that the device can be re-packaged properly in the event of a guarantee claim.

Setup location requirements

In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the setup location must fulfil the following prerequisites: \- Place the device on a firm, flat, level and heat-resistant surface with sufficient loadbearing capacity for the device and its contents. \- Choose the setup location in such a way that children cannot reach any hot surfaces on the device. \- The device is not intended to be installed in a wall or a built-in cupboard. \- Do not set up the device in a hot, wet or extremely damp environment or near flammable material. \- Do not place the device near a gas or electric cooker or an oven. \- The device requires an adequate flow of air in order to operate correctly. Leave a clearance of 20 cm all around the device. \- Do not cover up any openings on the device and do not block these off. - The electrical socket must be easily accessible so that the power lead can be disconnected easily, in the case of an emergency. - The device and power cord should not come in contact with the hot surface. The device could be damaged. - The installation and assembly of this device in non-stationary setup locations must be carried out by specialist companies/ electricians, provided they guarantee the prerequisites for the safe use of this device.

Electrical connection

In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the following instructions must be observed for the electrical connection: - Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your electrical network. This data must agree in order that no damages occur in the device. If in doubt, ask your qualified electrician. - The electrical outlet must be protected by a 16A safety cut-out switch, separate ly from other electricity consumers. - The connection between the device and the electrical network may employ a 3-meter-long (max.) extension cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm2. The use of multiple plugs or gangs is prohibited because of the danger of fire that is involved with this. - Make sure that the power cable is undamaged and has not been installed under the oven or over hot or sharp surfaces. - The electrical safety of the device is only guaranteed if the device is connected to a properly installed protective conductor system. Operations using an electrical outlet without a protective conductor are prohibited. If in doubt, have the house installation checked over by a qualified electrician. - The device must not be used if it has been dropped, it obvious signs of damage are visible or if it has leaks. - The manufacturer cannot be made responsible for damages that are caused by a missing or damaged protective conductor.

Operating and Handing

This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device. Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages.

\- Do not let the device unsupervised during operation to be able to react quickly in case of dangers.

Before first use

Clean the baking surface with a damp cloth. At first use there could be a little production of smoke. Therefore use the device without food on highest level for 10 minutes and let it cool down after this. Wipe the device with damp cloth after cooling down.

Use

Plug in and turn the temperature controller to desired level (for first use we recommend level 6. Depending on the desired degree of browning, you can switch to higher or lower level). The control lamp will turn red and the device is heating up. When temperature is reached the control lamp will turn green. Place a small amount of dough on the baking surface and spread with the crepes dough spreader in an evenly rotating motion. Bake the crepe until the surface is not liquid any more and until the crepe can be moved back and forth easily. Turn the crepe with the flat turner and let it bake. The crepe should be baked thoroughly but not too brown. Lift the crepe with the flat turner and remove it from the baking surface. Now you can spread the crepe for example with jam and roll it. Pull the plug when you have finished the desired amount of crepes.

Please note

- During operation the control lamp will switch between green and red. This indicates that the device maintains the temperature. - Do not use the device for cooking or defrosting of frozen food . • Use only thawed food. - Moisture the crepes dough spreader a little bit so that the dough will not stick so easy . - Reduce the temperature if the crepes are too brown . - For mini pan-cakes place a little amount of dough on the baking surface and bake it until the pan cake can easily be released. Then you can turn the mini pan cakes and bake them until they have the desired browning.

Basic Recipe

Ingredients (for 20 portions): 250 g flour, 3 eggs , 500 ml milk, 1 pinch of salt. Mix all ingredients in a bowl to form the dough. Let the dough steep for 1 hour. As lower the viscosity of the dough is as thinner the crepes will be.

This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and maintaining the device. Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.

Please observe the following safety notices, before you commence with cleaning the device: \- The device must be cleaned and food residues must be removed at regular intervals. If the device is not maintained in a clean condition, this will have a detrimental effect on the service life of the device and can also result in a dangerous condition in the device as well as in the growth of fungus and bacteria. \- Unplug the plug from the wall power outlet prior to cleaning. \- The device is hot after it is used. There is a danger of burns! Wait until the device has cooled down. \- If dampness penetrates into the device, this can damage the electronic components. \- Please ensure that no liquid can enter the interior of the device through the ventilation slots. \- Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. \- Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.

CLEANING

Wipe the housing with a soft cloth. Remove dough and oil-res idues with a paper towel and carefully wipe the baking surface with a damp cloth. Allow the device to dry before storing it.

Déballage

Retirez l'appareil de la boite ainsi que tout le matériel d'emballage, la palette et le doseur.

Elimination du matériel d'emballage

L'emballage protège l'appareil contre les chocs durant son transport. Les matériaux qui constituent l'emballage doivent être triés en fonction de leur réutilisation et de leur compatibilité avec l'environnement ; il faut donc envisager de les recycler.  Il faut retourner l'emballage au cycle de production, cette fois-ci comme matière première ; cela réduit l'accumulation des déchets. Pour vous débarrasser des emballages qui ne vous sont plus utiles, apportez-les aux points de collecte sélective de votre municipalité.

Caractéristiques du lieu d'installation

Connexion électrique

AVERTISSEMENT

\- Surveillez toujours l'appareil quand il est en fonctionnement pour pouvoir réagir rapidement en cas d'urgence.

Avant la première utilisation

Nettoyez la plaque de cuisson avec un chiffon humide. Lors de la première utilisation, il peut se dégager un peu de fumée. Dans ce cas, faites-le fonctionner pendant dix minutes à la température maximale et sans cuire d'aliments. Ensuite, laissez-le refroidir puis nettoyez-le de nouveau.

Modalité d'utilisation

Branchez l'appareil puis réglez le thermostat à la température désirée (lors du premier usage, nous vous recommandons de le régler sur la position 6. En fonction de l'aspect que vous désirez donner à votre crêpe, vous pouvez augmenter ou diminuer la température à l'aide du thermostat.) La lampe rouge s'allumera et l'appareil commencera à chauffer. Quand la température désirée sera atteinte, la lampe verte s'allumera. Déposez un peu de pâte sur la plaque de cuisson puis étalez-la au moyen de la spatule en faisant des mouvements circulaires. Cuisez la crêpe jusqu'à ce que vous puissiez la faire glisser aisément sur la plaque. Retournez la crêpe avec la palette en bois et continuez la cuisson. La crêpe doit être bien cuite mais pas trop grillée. Retirez-la à l'aide de la palette. Maintenant, vous pouvez la recouvrir de confiture par exemple, puis l'enrouler. Débranchez l'appareil de la prise de courant une fois que vous avez fini de cuire vos crêpes.

Remarque

- Pendant le fonctionnement de l'appareil, le témoin lumineux passe du rouge au vert et inversement. Cela indique que l'appareil maintient la température constante. • N'utilisez pas l'appareil pour cuire ou décongeler des aliments. • Utilisez l'appareil avec des aliments déjà décongelés. - Humidifiez un peu la spatule pour que la pâte ne colle pas trop. - Réduisez la température si vous remarquez que la crêpe dore trop rapidement. - Pour faire des mini-pancakes, déposez un peu de pâte sur la plaque de cuisson et cuisez-la jusqu'à ce qu'elle se détache facilement. Vous pouvez alors retourner les pancakes et continuer de les cuire jusqu'à l'aspect désiré

Recette de base

Ingrédients (pour 20 portions): 250 g de farine, 3 œufs, 500 ml de lait, 1 pincée de sel. Mélangez tous les ingrédients dans un récipient creux afin de faire la pâte. Laissez-la reposer pendant une heure. Moins la pâte sera visqueuse et plus les crêpes seront fines.

Betrieb und handhabung

Das Kapitel bietet Ihnen wichtige Hinweise hinsichtlich des Betriebs des Gerätes. Beachten Sie die folgenden Hinweise, um Gefahren und Schäden zu vermeiden:

\- Lassen Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht unbeaufsichtigt, damit Sie in der Lage sind, im Notfall schnell zu reagieren.

Vor dem ersten gebrauch

Reinigen Sie die Backfläche mit einem feuchten Tuch. Beim ersten Gebrauch kann es zu einer leichten Geruchsentwicklung kommen. Deswegen benutzen Sie das Gerät ohne Lebensmittel auf der höchsten Einstellung innerhalb von 10 min, danach lassen Sie es abkühlen. Nach der Abkühlung wischen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch ab.

Verwendung

Schließen Sie den Stecker an eine Steckdose an und drehen Sie den Temperaturschalter auf die gewünschte Stufe (für die erste Nutzung empfehlen wir Ihnen die Stufe 6. Je nach dem Bräunungsgrad können Sie auf eine höhere oder niedriegere Stufe schalten.) Die Kontroll-Leuchte wird rot wenn das Gerät erhitzt wird. Wenn die Temperatur erreicht ist, wird die Kontroll-Leuchte Grün. Geben Sie eine kleine Menge Teig auf die Backplatte und verteilen Sie diesen mit dem Crêpe – Teigverteiler in einer gleichmäßigen rotierenden Bewegung. Lassen Sie den Teig so lange backen, bis die Oberfläche nicht mehr flüssig ist und sich leicht hin und her bewegen lässt. Wenden Sie den Crêpe mit dem Spatel und backen Sie diesen weiter. Der Crêpe soll durchbacken, aber nicht zu braun werden. Heben Sie den Crêpe mit dem Spatel ab und entfernen Sie diesen von der Backplatte. Jetzt können Sie den Crêpe zum Beispiel mit Marmelade bestreichen und diesen aufrollen. Nach dem letzten Backvorgang trennen Sie das Gerät durch Ziehen des Netzsteckers vom Stromnetz.

Gevaren door elektriciteit

Levensgevaarlijk door elektriciteit! Het is levensgevaarlijk om in contact te komen met draden die onder stroom staan of de construc- tie zelf! Voldoe aan de volgende veiligheidsinstructies om gevaren door elektriciteit te vermijden. \- Verwijder nooit de behuizing van het apparaat verwijder. Er is een kans op een elektrische schok als draden die onder stroom staan worden aangeraakt en als de elektrische of mecha- nische structuur wordt aangepast. Verder kunnen er functionele fouten in het apparaat plaats vinden. - Gebruik dit apparaat niet als het een beschadigde kabel of stekker heeft, als het niet goed werkt, beschadigd is, of is gevallen. Ingebruikname

Veiligheid Instructies

WAARSCHUWING

Persoonlijke en materiële schade kan worden toegebracht bij de ingebruikname van het apparaat! Volg de volgende veiligheidsinstructies om zulke gevaren te vermijden: \- Verpakkingsmateriaal mag niet worden gebruikt om mee te spelen. Er is verstikkingsgevaar.

Uitpakken

Haal het apparaat uit het karton, verwijder het verpakkingsmateriaal, spatel en de maatbeker.

Verwijder de verpakking

De verpakking beschermt het apparaat tijdens het transport. De verpakkingsmaterialen zijn ge- kozen met het oog op de natuur en recyclebare punten en daarom kunnen deze worden gerecycled. Door het verpakkingsmateriaal te recyclen, besparen we grondstoffen en verkleinen we de afvalberg. Breng verpakkingsmateriaal dat niet meer nodig is naar een “Green Dot” recycle punt voor afvoer.

Tip

\- Indien mogelijk, bewaar de originele verpakking van het apparaat tijdens de garantieperiode, zodat het apparaat in een mogelijk geval van een garantie claim kan worden verzonden op een juiste manier.

Plaatsing eisen

Om te verzekeren dat het apparaat veilig en probleem vrij werkt, moet de plaatsing van het appa- raat aan een aantal eisen voldoen: \- Plaats het apparaat op een stevig, vlak, horizontaal en hitte bestendig oppervlak met voldo- ende draagkracht voor het apparaat en de bijbehorende inhoud. \- Plaats dusdanig op een locatie dat kinderen niet de hete oppervlakken van het apparaat kun- nen bereiken. \- Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om in een muur of kast te worden gebouwd. \- Plaats het apparaat niet in een hete, natte of extreem vochtige omgeving of nabij brandbaar materiaal. \- Plaats het apparaat niet bij een fornuis of oven. \- Het apparaat heeft een goede luchtstroom nodig om goed te functioneren. Laat een ruimte van 20 cm rondom het apparaat vrij. \- Bedek geen openingen van het apparaat en blokkeer ze ook niet. \- Het stopcontact moet makkelijk toegankelijk zijn, zodat de stekker makkelijk kan worden los- gemaakt in geval van nood. - Het apparaat en de stroomkabel mag niet in contact komen met een heet oppervlak. Het ap- paraat kan worden beschadigd. - De installatie en assemblage van dit apparaat in een niet stilstaande locatie moet worden uit- gevoerd door speciale bedrijven / elektriciens, vooropgesteld dat zij de veiligheid garanderen voor het gebruik van dit apparaat.

Elektrische aansluiting

Om te verzekeren dat het apparaat veilig en probleem vrij werkt, moet de plaatsing van het appa- raat aan een aantal eisen voldoen: - Voor het aansluiten van het apparaat, vergelijk de data van de aansluiting (voltage en frequen- tie) met het type plaatje op het apparaat. Deze data moet overeenkomen zodat er geen schade ontstaat in het apparaat. Bij twijfel, vraag een gekwalificeerde elektricien. - Het elektrische stopcontact moet zijn beveiligd met een 16A zekering, afgezonderd van andere elektrische verbruikers. - De verbinding tussen het apparaat en het stopcontact mag worden verlengd met een verleng- kabel van 3 meter lang (max.) met een dikte van 1.5 mm ^2 . Het gebruik van meerdere verlengk- abels en stekkers is verboden met het risico op brand. - Verzeker dat de stroomkabel onbeschadigd is en dat het niet wordt geplaatst onder een oven of boven hete of scherpe oppervlakken. - De elektrische veiligheid van dit apparaat kan alleen worden gegarandeerd als het wordt aang- esloten op de randaarde. Het gebruik van een stopcontact zonder randaarde is verboden. Bij twijfel, laat de huis installatie controleren door een gekwalificeerde elektricien. - Het apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt als het is gevallen, er zijn duidelijke tekenen van schade zichtbaar of er zijn lekken. De fabrikant kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor schades veroorzaakt door het ontbreken of niet functionerende randaarde.

Bediening en Aflevering

Dit hoofdstuk geeft u belangrijke informatie voor het gebruik van dit apparaat. Volg de volgende instructies en vermijd gevaar en schades:

\- Laat het apparaat tijdens gebruik niet onbeheerd achter om snel te kunnen reageren in geval van nood.

Voor het eerste gebruik

Maak het bak oppervlak schoon met een vochtige doek. Bij het eerste gebruik kan er een beetje rook vrijkomen. Gebruik daarom het apparaat eerst zonder voedsel op de hoogste voor 10 minuten en laat het hierna afkoelen. Veeg het apparaat schoon met een vochtige doek als het is afgekoeld.

Het gebruik

Steek de stekker in het stopcontact en stel de temperatuur hendel in de gewenste stand (voor het eerste gebruik raden wij stand 6. Afhankelijk van het gewenste bruin niveau, kunt u de stand hoger of lager zetten). De controle lamp zal rood gaan branden als het apparaat opwarmt. Als de temperatuur is bereikt zal de controle lamp groen branden. Plaats een kleine hoeveelheid deeg op het bak oppervlak en verdeel het met de verspreider in een gelijke ronde beweging. Bak de pannenkoek totdat het oppervlak niet meer vloeibaar is en totdat de pannenkoek gemakkelijk heen en weer kan worden bewogen. Draai de pannenkoek om met de spatel en laat het bakken. De pannenkoek moet goed worden doorbakken, maar niet te bruin. Til de pannenkoek op met de spatel en haal het van het bak oppervlak. Nu kunt u er jam over doen en het oprollen. Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact als u voldoende pannenkoeken heeft gebakken.

TIP

- Tijdens gebruik zal het controle lampje omschakelen tussen groen en rood. Dit geeft aan dat het apparaat de temperatuur vast houd. - Gebruik het apparaat niet voor het bakken of ontdooien van bevroren voedsel. Gebruik alleen ontdooid voedsel. - Maak de verspreider een beetje nat zodat het deeg niet zo makkelijk blijft plakken. - Om poffertjes te maken, plaats een kleine hoeveelheid deeg op het bak oppervlak en bak het totdat de poffertjes makkelijk los komen. Dan kunt u de poffertjes omdraaien en ze bakken totdat ze de gewenste bruine kleur hebben.

Basis Recept

Ingrediënten (voor 20 porties): 250 g bloem, 3 eieren, 500 ml melk, 1 vleugje zout. Meng alle ingrediënten in een schaal om de deeg te mengen. Laat het deeg rijzen voor 1 uur. Hoe lager de viscositeit van de deeg is, hoe dunner de pannenkoeken zullen zijn.

Schoonmaken

Veeg de behuizing af met een zachte doek. Verwijder deeg en olie resten met een papieren doek en veeg het bak oppervlak voorzichtig met een vochtige doek. Laat het apparaat drogen voor het weg zetten.

ADVERTENCIA

\- Siempre mantenga su atención en el aparato cuando esté en funcionamiento para que pueda reaccionar rápidamente en caso de emergencias.

Antes del primer uso

Limpie la plancha de cocción con un paño húmedo. Al usar el aparato por primera vez podría producirse una pequeña cantidad de humo. Por lo tanto, déjelo funcionar durante 10 minutos al máximo de temperatura y sin alimentos en la plancha. Luego apáguelo, espere a que se enfríe y límpielo con un paño húmedo.

Modo de uso

Enchufe el aparato y mueva el regulador de temperatura hasta el nivel deseado (para el primer uso le recomendamos el nivel 6.
