The BT 740/2 Li 48 (177.6 Wh) battery or other E 450 model should only be charged when the ambient temperature is between 0°C and 40°C. If you charge at a temperature outside this range, the charging process slows down significantly or stops completely to protect the battery. Also, ensure that you are using the original charger provided with your device.

Check the LED indicators

The battery has 4 blue LEDs that indicate the charge level:

4 LEDs = 75-100% (battery properly charged)
3 LEDs = 50-75%
2 LEDs = 25-50%
1 LED = 10-25%
Flashing LED = below 10%
Red LED = battery error or fault

If you see a red LED, it indicates a fault. In this case, the battery should not be charged and must be replaced.

Optimize usage and storage

To preserve the lifespan of your lithium-ion battery:
