The filter of the NEFF W544BX1GB washing machine is located behind a access panel at the base of the machine, on the lower front of the appliance.

Accessing and maintaining the filter:

Turn off and unplug the machine before proceeding
Open the filter access panel located at the bottom front
Remove the filter and rinse it thoroughly under running hot water
Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling
Securely place the filter back in its compartment

Regular cleaning of the filter prevents drainage issues. The manual also recommends descaling every six months.
