How to set up the projector for first use?

Place the projector on a stable surface at the desired distance. Plug in the power cable, connect a video source (HDMI, VGA) and turn on with the Power button. Use the focus ring and keystone correction keys to adjust the image.

What is the recommended projection distance for a 100-inch image?

With the 1.6x zoom, for a 100-inch image (diagonal), the projection distance ranges from approximately 2.8 m to 4.5 m. Refer to the distance table in the manual for exact values.

How to clean the air filter?

Turn off the projector and unplug it. Open the filter cover on the side. Remove the filter, tap it to remove dust or use a low-power vacuum cleaner. Put it back and close. Clean every 1000 hours of use.

Can I replace the light source myself?

The laser light source is sealed and cannot be replaced by the user. Its lifespan is 30,000 hours. If a problem occurs, contact an authorized Optoma service.

Why is the image distorted?

Check the keystone correction in the OSD menu. Adjust the vertical and horizontal values. Ensure the projector is perpendicular to the screen. Use lens shift to move the image without distortion.

How to connect the projector to a network?

Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port. In the Network menu, enable DHCP or enter a static IP address. You can then project over the network or use remote management.

The remote control does not work, what to do?

Check the batteries (AAA type). Point the remote at the front sensor. Clean the IR emitter. If the problem persists, reset the remote by removing the batteries for 30 seconds.

How to reduce fan noise?

Switch to Eco mode in the Lamp menu. This reduces brightness and noise. Ensure air intakes are not blocked. Place the projector in an air-conditioned room if necessary.

Can I use the projector in portrait mode?

Yes, the ZU650 supports 360° rotation and portrait mode. In the Orientation menu, select the appropriate mode. Ensure adequate air circulation.

Before install or replacing the lens, switch off the power to the projector.

Avoid using the remote control or projector keypad button to adjust the lens shift or zoom/focus while the lens attachment process is carried out.
