Frequently Asked Questions - SC-U11 MA SANYO

How do I change the dust bag in my Sanyo SC-U11 MA vacuum?
Open the top lid of the vacuum canister. Remove the full dust bag and dispose of it. Insert a new reusable cloth bag or a disposable bag (depending on model). Ensure it is properly fitted before closing the lid.
How often should I clean the filter?
The HEPA filter should be cleaned every 3-6 months, depending on usage. Remove the filter, tap it gently to remove dust, or wash it with lukewarm water if it's a washable filter. Let it dry completely before reinstalling.
What is the cord length of the SC-U11 MA?
The power cord is 6 meters long, providing a cleaning radius of up to 8 meters when combined with the hose.
Can I use this vacuum on hardwood floors?
Yes, the SC-U11 MA comes with a floor brush suitable for both carpets and hard floors. You can adjust the brush height or use the bare floor setting if available.
What type of dust bag does it use?
The vacuum uses a reusable cloth bag that can be emptied and washed. Alternatively, you can use compatible disposable paper bags. Check your manual for the correct part number.
Why is the vacuum losing suction?
Common causes: full dust bag, clogged filter, blockage in the hose or nozzle. Check the bag and filter first. If the hose is blocked, use a long object to dislodge the obstruction.
How do I rewind the power cord?
Press the cord rewind button located on the top of the canister. Hold the plug and guide it while it retracts to avoid whipping.
Is the filter washable?
Yes, the HEPA filter is washable. Clean it under running water and let it air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Replacement parts such as filters, bags, and hoses can be purchased from authorized Sanyo service centers or online retailers. Use the model number SC-U11 MA for compatibility.
What is the power consumption of this vacuum?
The Sanyo SC-U11 MA has a power rating of 1200 watts at 220-240 volts. This provides strong suction for efficient cleaning.

CLEANING AND REPLACING THE SECONDARY FILTERS

Caution: Be sure to turn the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning and replacing the filters.

CLEANING THE FILTER

The secondary filters consist of an electrostatic micron filter (a general filter in the case of the SC-U8MA/U9MA/U8WA) and a sub-filter.

The electrostatic micron filter should be replaced at least once every 10 months in order to maintain cleaning performance. Only use genuine Sanyo replacement filters.

1 Depress the foot pedal release and set the handle to the parallel position.
2 Remove the filter cover. Grasp the filter cover with a hand on each side, press inward and pull the filter cover away from the vacuum cleaner.
3 Replace the electrostatic micron filter. (SC-U11MA only)

Caution: The electrostatic filter cannot be reused.

For SC-U8MA/U9MA/U8WA:

After washing the filter in water and leaving the filter in a shady place to dry for about one day, make sure that it is completely dry and then re-install it into the vacuum cleaner.

4 Replace the filter cover.
