Frequently Asked Questions - F6101 IMETEC

How do I use the Imetec F6101 coffee grinder?
Place the lid on the bowl, add coffee beans up to the MAX line, press the button to grind. Release to stop. Do not exceed 30 seconds of continuous use.
Can I grind other ingredients besides coffee beans?
Yes, you can grind spices, nuts, and herbs. Ensure the ingredients are dry and clean. Do not grind hard items like bones or ice.
How do I clean the grinder?
Unplug the grinder. Wipe the bowl and lid with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Use the cleaning brush for residue. Allow to dry completely before next use.
Why does the grinder stop during use?
The grinder has overheat protection. If it stops, let it cool for 5 minutes before restarting. Check if the bowl is securely attached.
What is the maximum grinding time?
Do not operate the grinder for more than 30 seconds continuously. Allow a 5-minute cooldown between cycles. This prevents motor damage.
Can I grind wet coffee beans?
No, only dry beans or ingredients. Wet items can cause clumping and motor strain. Ensure beans are at room temperature and dry.
How do I achieve a finer grind?
Grind for longer periods (up to 30 seconds). For coarse grind, pulse briefly. Experiment with timing to get your preferred consistency.
Is the grinder suitable for espresso?
This blade grinder produces uneven particles, not ideal for espresso. It is best for drip, French press, or percolator. For espresso, consider a burr grinder.
What should I do if the grinder won't start?
Check that the bowl and lid are properly aligned. Ensure the power cord is plugged in. If still not working, contact Imetec customer service. Do not attempt to repair yourself.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts like blades and bowls are available through Imetec authorized service centers. Check the manual for contact details.
