Boil-dry protection

- This kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection: it switches off automatically if you accidentally switch it on with no or not enough water in it. Let the kettle cool down for 10 minutes and then lift the kettle off its base. Then the kettle is ready for use again.

3 Before first use

Thoroughly clean the parts that will come in contact with food before you use the appliance for the first time (see "Cleaning").

4 Use your nourishing kettle (Fig. 2)

Follow the steps below to use your nourishing kettle

1 Add ingredients to the kettle.
2 Add water to the kettle.
- Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum water level indication (1.5 L).
3 Fix the tea basket holder to the kettle.
4 Close the lid.
5 Fix the kettle to the power base.
6 Plug in the appliance.
7 Press the On/Off button to power on the appliance.

- All the program LEDs light up and the LED of “keep warm” program is selected by default.

8 Press program navigation button (< or >) to select a program.

- When a program is selected, the LED of this program will be highlighted.

• See “Preset programs” for details.

9 Press the OK button Ⓥ to start the program.

• The appliance starts processing.

- The LED of the selected program keeps lighting up until processing is completed.

- When processing is complete, the appliance will beep.

10 Press the On/Off button to power off the appliance.

- The appliance will automatically go into “keep warm” mode after Congee, Nutritious soup, Fruit flower tea, or low temperature brew program is completed. It will keep warm for 30 minutes and then power off automatically.

11 Unplug the appliance and remove the kettle from the base.

12 Remove the lid.

13 Remove the tea basket holder.

14 Pour out the water/ingredients/soup from the kettle carefully.

5 Use your tea basket (Fig. 3)

7 Cleaning

Always unplug the base before you clean it

Never immerse the kettle or its base in water.

Clean the kettle thoroughly each time after use. Use water and cleaning detergent together with a soft cloth for best results.

Make sure to dry the product properly before putting it away in storage.

Clean the nourishing kettle and the power base

Clean the outside of the kettle and the base with a moistened soft cloth.

Caution: Do not let the moist cloth come into contact with the cord, the plug and the connector of the base.

Descaling the kettle

Depending on the water hardness in your area, scale may build up inside the kettle over time and affect performance of the kettle. Regular descaling makes your kettle last longer, ensures proper function and saves energy.

When scale starts to build up inside the kettle, follow the steps below to descale your kettle:

1 Fill the kettle with water and then add white vinegar.
2 Wait for an hour before rinsing the kettle.
3 Fill the kettle with water again and boil to remove all vinegar.

9 Troubleshooting

Issue Potential solution
Overflow happens during cookingA large amount of foam might form when cooking certain ingredients and this could lead to overflow. To open the lid during cooking could reduce the amount of foam and decrease the chance of overflow. Make sure ingredients in the kettle do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the product. Adding too many ingredients will lead to overflow and should be avoided.
All LED is on and all the keys have no response other than power key.Kettle is not on the power base while cooking and you cannot operate your kettle by using keys on the control panel at this moment. When a program is running, if you lift the kettle from its base and put it back within five minute, the selected program will resume and the remaining cooking time will be completed. If it takes longer than five minutes before kettle is put back on the power base, then the previously selected program will be cancelled and you would need to restart the program again.
The kettle beeps four times and switches off automatically.The kettle activated the boil-dry protection. This kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection. This device automatically switches off the kettle if it is accidentally pressed on when there is no water or not enough water in it. The kettle will switch off and power-on light will go off. Let it cool down. The kettle is ready for use again.
