How do I connect the scanner to my computer?

Plug the USB cable into an available port. The scanner will automatically install as a HID keyboard or virtual COM port. No drivers needed for most systems.

Why is my scanner not reading barcodes?

Ensure the barcode is not damaged, the scanner lens is clean, and you are within the scan range (5-20 cm). Try scanning a test barcode from the manual.

Can the scanner read 2D barcodes?

The QLCW1701 is a 1D laser scanner and does not read 2D codes. For 2D codes, consider a 2D imager model.

How do I change the beep volume?

Scan the appropriate programming barcode from the manual. Alternatively, some models have a DIP switch for volume control.

What does the red light mean?

A solid red light indicates the scanner is powered on. A flashing red light may indicate a reading error or low power.

Can I use the scanner without a computer?

The scanner requires a USB host (computer, POS terminal) for power and data. It cannot operate standalone.

Transmitter (Scanner) ① Working Mode

Following working mode can be set directly. Default setting is real time mode.

Real-time mode (%/ALLFTSET)

Inventory mode (%%ALLMEM-SET)

NOTE:

Real time mode: Scan and transmit, data will automatically lost if upload failed.
Cache mode: Same as real time mode if connection normal. Scan barcodes will be automatically restore if connection failed. Will upload one by one if connection return as normal.

Inventory mode: Scanning barcodes will be restored without upload. Will you change your "blue data" barcode

Will upload once scan "Upload data" barcode. Will clear once scan "Clear data".

Will clear once scan "Clear data". Will check sum once scan "Data sum".

2 Adaptor installation and paring

Method 1:

Step 1: Insert the adaptor as above picture, the blue light of the adaptor will continue (on not able to pair when blue light flashing).
Step 2: After insert the adaptor, it must be scan the below barcode within 20s.

Enter Pairing "CHSET (%%ALL-CH)"

Third 3: Set channel. Scan 2 Digits parameter as pairing channel.

*This method is suitable for the environment of multi scanner using different digit parameter can be the only pairin channel to invoke the data upload mistake between scanners.

Upload data: Barcode data will transmit to terminal once scan this barcode. Date sum: Scan "Data sum" barcode to check the scanner restore data sum. Clear data: Scan "Clear data" and clear all the restore data in scanner.

③ ID Hide / Show

Scanner ID will show in front of barcode once scanning "ID Show" barcode. Default setting is "ID Hide".

The sleep time means the time between the last operation move and auto turn off of the scanner. User able to scan the corresponding barcode of the sleep time which is needed to accomplish the sleep time setting.

Turn on auto switch to wire mode: After the data receiver notify the scanner. Scanner can transmit the data via USB cable.

Turn off auto switch to wire mode: No able to transmit data via USB cable when the wire mode turn off. USB can only for battery charging.

Wireless mode: Only able to pair with the receiver in this mode.

Troubleshooting Q&A:

Q1: After scanning data, the scanner have sound of "du du du" three time means the data not uploaded.

A1: Pair again. (Follow "adaptor install and pairing" process)

Q2: No data upload after scanning, but no warning tore.

A2: Scan "Real time mode" barcode (in the "operation mode" under "wireless transmit setting")

Q3: Scan barcode, the data which display in terminal is two more byte than the original barcode data.

A3: Scan "ID hide" barcode (in the "user ID hide/display setting" under "wireless transmit setting")

Q4: Press the button, no laser comes out of the scanner.

A4: Low power, please charge the scanner.

Q5: What should do if the barcode data is increased or reduced when scanning?

A5: Follow barcode setting 2 and 4 to set the scanner.

1. In case of loosing the policy it would be necessary to present the original invoice with the serial number of the product.

2. Qian.mx could use new pieces, restored, or used in good conditions to repair or replace any product, without any additional cost to the consumer, as long as the warranty period stipulated isn't over.

3. In case that the product doesn't have arrangement, it would be changed for a similar product or for one with superior characteristics.

4. The time of repair won't be longer than 30 natural days since the date of reception of the product by Qian.mx or by Authorized Service Centers.

5. In case that Qian.mx doesn't count with an Authorized Service Center in the client's city, the client will have to pay the shipping cost to the nearest point and Qian.mx will pay the cost of the returning shipment to the client once the service is fulfilled, within the warranty period.

EXCLUSIONS

Qian.mx will not make valid this policy in the next cases:

- When the product had been used under other conditions than the normal.

- When the product hasn't been operated according the instructive that's included.

- When the product would have been modified or repaired by unauthorized people by Qian.mx.
