Frequently Asked Questions - T1 MANHATTAN

How do I connect the Manhattan T1 receiver to my TV?
Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI output on the receiver to an available HDMI input on your TV. Alternatively, use the composite AV output (red, white, yellow) for older TVs.
How do I scan for channels?
Go to the Menu, select Installation or Channel Search, choose Auto Scan. The receiver will search for all available digital channels. Ensure the antenna is properly connected.
Why is there no signal on my Manhattan T1?
Check the antenna connection and ensure it is properly aligned. Go to Menu > Signal Information to verify signal strength and quality. If weak, adjust your antenna or contact your service provider.
The remote control is not working. What should I do?
First, check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have charge. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the receiver. Try pointing the remote directly at the receiver's IR sensor. If still not working, replace the batteries.
How do I reset the Manhattan T1 to factory settings?
Go to Menu > Setup > Factory Reset. Enter the password (default is 0000) and confirm. This will erase all settings and channels, restoring the receiver to original state.
Can I update the firmware of the Manhattan T1?
Check the Manhattan website for firmware updates. Download the update file to a USB stick, insert it into the receiver, go to Menu > Update and follow on-screen instructions. Do not turn off power during update.
The HDMI output shows no picture but sound works. What's wrong?
This may be a resolution compatibility issue. Press the Resolution button on the remote (or access Menu) to switch between output modes (e.g., 720p, 1080i). Also check HDMI cable and TV input.
How do I play media files from a USB drive?
Insert the USB drive into the USB port. Press the Media button on the remote. Navigate to your files using the file browser. Supported formats include MP4, AVI, MKV, MP3, JPEG. Not all codecs may be supported.
My Manhattan T1 turns off randomly. What could be the cause?
Check if the Auto Sleep feature is enabled (Menu > Setup > Auto Sleep). If enabled, the receiver powers off after a period of inactivity. Disable it if unwanted. Also ensure power supply is stable and not overheating.
Can I mount the Manhattan T1 to a wall?
The Manhattan T1 is designed for desktop use only and does not have mounting holes. Place it on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Do not stack objects on top of it.

SOFTWARE UPDATES

From time to time we may release software updates to add features or address bugs. When registering your T1, unless you opt-out we will contact you by email whenever a new version is released.

The T1 will automatically check for an update each night and install one if it's available. This can be disabled by turning ‘Automatic Updates’ to off in the System section of Settings. You can also manually check for an update by selecting ‘Check for Update Now’.

Please note that unless the update is considered critical, it will only be released over the internet and not broadcast over the air, so we recommend keeping your T1 connected to your internet router by Ethernet cable. If you can't connect your T1 to your router using an Ethernet cable, the update can be installed using USB instead. Full information about the update and how to install it via USB will be available on our website.
