Safety Instructions
This device may be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and understand the dangers resulting from this.
■ Children must not play with the device.
- The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children and animals. Improper use can lead to scalding and electric shock.

- WARNING – Risk of Scalding! This device works with hot steam. Never aim steam directly at people, animals or plants.

■ CAUTION: Hot surface! You should only hold the device by the handle when you are using it.
■ Never point the steam directly at mains cables or parts containing electrical components (for example stereo equipment, televisions, monitors, switches, lamps, microwave ovens etc.).
- Never remove the cap of the water reservoir during use! Always make sure that the water reservoir is firmly closed before the device is used.
- The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is left unattended and before assembly, dismantling, before water is poured into the water reservoir or it is emptied, and before cleaning.
- The device must not be used if it has been dropped, if obvious signs of damage are visible or if it has leaks. In the interest of your own safety, check the device, the mains cable and the mains plug for damage every time before use.
If the device, the mains cable or the mains plug of the device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department or a similarly qualified person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

Risk of Injuries
■ Warning of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
- Beware of the risk of scalding! Never touch the cleaning foot of the device during operation! Maintain a safe distance of at least 30 cm. Wear shoes when cleaning floors.
■ Beware of falling! Lay the connected mains cable in such a way that it does not present a trip hazard.

Danger of Electric Shock from Water!
■ Use and store only in closed rooms.
■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
■ Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
- Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
- Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these components are connected to the mains power.

Warning of Electric Shock from Damage and Inappropriate Use!
- Only connect the mains plug to a socket with safety contacts that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
- Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
■ Remove the mains plug from the plug socket if a fault occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm. - When you pull it out of the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!

- Prior to assembly, spread out a protective film if necessary to prevent any damage to delicate surfaces.
- Plug together the three parts of the handle rod (1+3+4) . When you do this, make sure that the cable winders (2+5) are parallel to one another. To take the handle rod apart, simply pull it apart.
-
Insert the end of the handle rod into the upper opening of the main unit (6). To take the handle rod off, simply pull it off.
-
Insert the cleaning foot (9) into the main unit (6) until you hear the cleaning foot engage. To detach the cleaning foot (10), press the release button (13) on the back of the main unit (6) and pull it off at the same time.

Close-up of hands using a handheld device to clean or store items (no visible text or symbols)- Open the water reservoir cap (8).
- Tilt the main unit (6) back slightly to make it easier to pour in the water.
- Use the measuring cup that is also supplied to pour cold, clean water into the water reservoir (9) (note the MAX marking).
- Close the water reservoir cap (8).
Use

CAUTION!
- Use the device only if it has been fully and correctly assembled and the floor cloth has been attached for cleaning floors.
- Beware of the risk of scalding! After you switch off the device, hot steam may continue to emerge for a few seconds! Even after cooling, the water in the reservoir still remains hot!

We recommend that, before using the device, you sweep the floor with a broom or vacuum it using a vacuum cleaner.
- Pull the floor cloth (12) over the cleaning foot (10) and pull the draw cord tight so that it cannot slip off.

Use the carpet glider (11) that is also supplied to clean carpets. To do this, place the carpet glider (11) flat on the carpet to be cleaned and place the cleaning foot (10) with the floor cloth (12) on the carpet glider (11).
- Stand the device upright. The joint of the cleaning foot (10) locks in place in a vertical position.
-
Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
-
Move the On / Off switch (7) to the I position. The On / Off switch (7) lights up when the device is switched on. The device reaches operating temperature after around 20 – 30 seconds and steam emerges from the cleaning foot (10).
- Hold the device by the handle (1) and tilt it slightly towards the floor to release the locking of the cleaning foot (10).
- Slide the cleaning foot (10) slowly back and forth over the floor. The floor is cleaned as you do this.
- If during use no steam or only a small amount of steam is generated, check whether there is sufficient water in the water reservoir (9) and top it up again if necessary (see "Filling the Water Reservoir").
- When you finish cleaning the floor, move the On/Off switch (7) to position 0 and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
- Allow the device to cool down completely.

- Beware of burns! Always allow the device to cool down completely before cleaning it and / or storing it away.
- Beware of burns! The floor cloth and the cleaning foot may be very hot during and shortly after use. Before removing them, wait a few minutes until the floor cloth and the cleaning foot have cooled down completely.
- Do not use any solvents, aggressive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning. They could damage the device.
- Completely empty the water reservoir after each use:
-open the water reservoir cap (8), - hold the main unit (6) over a sink or similar outlet and tip out the rest of the water,
- ideally do not close the water reservoir (9) again immediately so that the moisture can escape,
- close the water reservoir (8) again using the water reservoir cap (8) before storing it away.
- Wipe down the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth if necessary and then dry it with a soft cloth.
- The floor cloth (12) can be washed in the washing machine. Follow the instructions on the washing label. Do not use any fabric softener or bleach!
- Store the device in a frost-free, dry, clean, cool place that is not accessible to children and animals.

To ensure that the steam cleaner can clean with full force, the water reservoir (9) should be descaled at regular intervals (after approx. 25 - 50 uses).
- Pour a mixture of one part vinegar and two parts water into the water reservoir (9).
- Position the device in such a way that the steam that is emitted does not hit any delicate floors or other objects.
- Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
- Move the On / Off switch (7) to position I to switch on the device.
- Allow the vinegar/water mixture to run through once completely until the water reservoir (9) is empty.
- Move the On/Off switch (7) to position 0 to switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
- Rinse the water reservoir (9) with fresh water to remove vinegar residues and odours.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.

Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
The device does not work. No steam is emerging.
- Is the mains plug inserted in the socket correctly?
- Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
- Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• Is the device switched on? Move the On / Off switch (7) to the I position. - The device is not yet ready to operate. The device needs to heat up for around 20 – 30 seconds before the steam can emerge.
