USER MANUAL L15OFR18 Logik

For your continued safety and to reduce the risk of injury or electric shock, please follow all the safety precautions listed below. Read all instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them for future reference.

  • Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party, make sure to include this manual.
  • This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications such as:

– farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments;
– catering and similar non-retail applications.
Make sure your home voltage matches the voltage displayed on the appliance. If you are not sure, contact an electrician.
Do not kink or wrap the mains cable and plug around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken and split, particularly where it enters the appliance.

Ensure the mains cable is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with any part of the appliance.

Do not pull on the mains cable. Never move, carry or hang the appliance by the mains cable.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

CAUTION - Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
The heater must not be located immediately below a mains socket.
Do not allow children to play with the appliance or sit, stand, or climb on it.
Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is in use.

  • For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
    • Children of less than 3 years old should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  • Do not block or restrict the airflow around the appliance. Position the unit so that the air inlet and exhaust grilles are not blocked or restricted in anyway.

  • This appliance is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring the opening of the oil container are only to be performed by an authorised, qualified technician who should be contacted if there is an oil leakage.
  • When disposing of the appliance, follow the local regulations concerning the disposal of oil.

Unpacking

Remove all items from the packaging. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so according to local regulations.

Assembly

Do not plug your heater into a mains socket while you are assembling the product.
1. Turn the unit upside down.
2. Attach one of the wheel sets on the control box of the unit. Secure tightly with the butterfly nuts.
3. Wrap the "U" shaped screw in between the 6th and 7th radiator fins. Attach the other wheel set on the "U" shaped screw. Secure tightly with the butterfly nuts.
4. Stand the unit to the upright position.
5. Check that the wheels are not loose before each use.

It is hazardous if you turn on the heater when it is upside down.

Before use, remember to double check that the heater is standing upright on a firm and level surface.

Operation

Position the heater upright on the floor away from curtains, furniture or wall coverings before plugging into the mains socket.

  • Plug in the unit.
  • Turn the Power Control to III and the Thermostat Control to Max position. The indicator light will turn on. Wait for the heater to fully heat up.
  • When the room reaches the desired temperature or if you want to lower the room temperature, turn the Power Control to either I or II, or turn the Thermostat Control halfway towards Min position.
    • To turn off the heater, turn the Power Control to 0 (Off) position. Turn the Thermostat Control to Min position. The indicator light will turn off.
    • Unplug the unit from the mains socket when it is left unattended or not in use.

Safety Protective Device

Overheat Protection

The power to the heater will automatically cut off if the temperature of the heater exceeds a certain limit. In the event of overheating, the heater will stop operating. Switch off and unplug the heater, and allow it to completely cool.

Built-in Tipover Protective Switch

When you use the heater in an upright position on a firm and level surface, the built-in tipover protective switch will be on. In the event the heater is knocked over, the heater will stop functioning automatically.

Do not override the tip-over protective switch as this may cause a hazard. Using the unit on a deep pile carpet may activate the tip-over protective switch.

Cleaning & Storage

  • Your heater should be cleaned regularly to prevent dirt and dust from building up which will affect its performance.
    • Always unplug the mains cable from the mains socket and allow the heater to cool down before cleaning.
    • Wipe the unit with a soft damp (not wet) cloth.
    • Coil up the mains cable onto the cord storage. Store the heater in a cool dry place.

Ensure you unplug your heater from the mains socket and wait for the heater to cool down completely before cleaning. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.

Hints & Tips

My heater does not work when I turn it on:

  • Check that your heater is plugged in and the power is turned on.
    • Check if the thermostat setting is too low.
  • If the heater still does not work, do not try to repair the heater yourself. Please leave all maintenance work to qualified personnel.

If your heater's power is automatically cut off, follow the steps below:

  1. Unplug your heater and allow it to cool down.
  2. Inspect your heater.
  3. Plug in the heater and switch it on again. If it cuts off again, move the heater to a better ventilated location.
  4. If there is any sign of physical damage (e.g. melting, or burning of the case), do not attempt to use your heater. Please leave all maintenance work to qualified personnel.
