How do I adjust the DPI on the CM Storm Recon?

Press the DPI button located behind the scroll wheel to cycle through preset levels. Use the CM Storm Portal software to customize DPI steps.

Can I program the side buttons?

Yes, all five buttons are programmable via the CM Storm Portal software. Assign macros, keystrokes, or multimedia functions.

Is the mouse compatible with macOS?

The CM Storm Recon is designed for Windows. It may work as a basic mouse on macOS, but software customization is not supported.

How do I clean the mouse?

Unplug the mouse. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the exterior. Clean the sensor lens gently with a cotton swab. Avoid liquids.

Does the mouse have onboard memory?

Yes, it has 128 KB onboard memory to store up to 5 profiles. Settings carry over to different computers without software.

How do I replace the mouse feet?

Peel off old feet carefully. Clean the area with isopropyl alcohol. Apply new replacement mouse feet (available online). Ensure alignment.

What is the polling rate and how to change it?

Default polling rate is 1000 Hz (1 ms). Change it in the CM Storm Portal software to 125/250/500 Hz if needed.

Why is the red LED not turning on?

Ensure the mouse is plugged into a working USB port. Check if the lighting is disabled in the software. If still off, contact Cooler Master support.

Can I use the mouse with a mouse pad?

Yes, the optical sensor works on most surfaces except transparent or glossy ones. A gaming mouse pad is recommended for optimal tracking.

How to perform a factory reset?

Remove the software and unplug the mouse. Hold down buttons 4 and 5 while plugging it back in. Release after 3 seconds. Settings reset to defaults.

DPI Levels

Each Prole can contain up to 4 DPI levels. Individual levels can be disabled to skip them when cycling through the DPI levels with the DPI+ and DPI- buons.

DPI Slider

Convenient slide bars to quickly adjust the mouse movement sensitivity of each DPI level.

DPI Value

Displays the currently selected DPI value.

LOD

The Li O Distance or LOD can be ne tuned for each individual DPI Level, and industry rst!

USB Polling Combo Box

Displays a list of all available USB polling sengs.

Displays and adjusts the current windows OS inter/extrapolaon (mouse pointer sensitivity seng). Adjusng this lets you emulate higher or lower sensor DPI sengs.

Double Click Speed

Adjusts the Windows OS double click speed.

The acve to acve delay of all mouse buons can be adjusted with this slider, to allow more clicks per second.

LEDs

Recon features no less than 3 separate LED modules that can each be programmed to a dierent color!

LED Color

Quickly choose a color by clicking on any of the 10 color buons, and if you want, ne tune your LED color and brightness using the RGB color code elds and the LED brightness slider.

LED Mode

Choose between 3 LED modes. Connuous : ON, OFF. Flash on Prole Switch : when switching proles to remind you which prole you just loaded. Rapid Fire : which makes the LEDs ash every me you clicking the le mouse buon.
