How do I know when the pressure cooker has reached the correct pressure?

How do I safely release pressure after cooking?

Turn off the fire and tilt the weight regulator to release pressure. Wait until the pressure indicator and locking indicator drop back down before opening.

What should I do if the pressure seems clogged?

Bring the cooker to the faucet and let water flow over the cover until the pressure indicator drops. Alternatively, use a spoon to push the gasket aside on the side hole until pressure is released.

How do I clean the pressure cooker?

1. While cooking, a small amount of steam will escape from the weight regulator and locking indicator hole. The locking indicator will up and the cover will lock automatically. Once the pressure indicator and the safety valve go up, the weight regulator will also go up and turn around. A steady flow of steam will begin to escape, which indicates that it is in state of accumulating pressure. Lower the heat and start the timer.

NOTE: The weight regulator will turn around and stop after a few seconds and will turn around again (this cycle will continue until cooking required meets).

1. Once the required time is reached, turn OFF the fire. Tilt the weight regulator, to release the pressure inside. If the pressure indicator and the locking indicator are back to its proper position (down) it means, the pressure has been released.

In case the pressure clogs. Try the following:

a. Bring the pressure cooker to the faucet, allow the water to flow in the cover until pressure indicator drops.

b. Using a spoon, push the gasket on the side hole of the cover until pressure released.

1. To open: hold the lower handle with left hand and upper handle with right hand. Slightly turn upper handle to the right until 2 arrow marks from the pressure cooker body and cover meets. Lift the cover to open.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. All parts are washable with soap and water.

After every use, clean the nozzle and filter with cleaning needle to remove food residue.

Unscrew, soak in hot water with soap for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. If food stocks on the holes, use cleaning needle to remove.

Soak in hot water with soap for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Do not hang the gasket. Put it back on the side slot on the cover of the pressure cooker.

1. Let it dry. Be sure to assemble the parts, specially the gasket.

6 SAFETY FEATURES:

Alarm Valve & Safety Valve: It serves as a double protection that ensures the safety of use. It prevents excess pressure to build up.

Safety Lid Window: It serves as an effective prevention for safety accidents caused by excessive pressure in the pot. When the pressure in the pot exceed the pressure relief pressure, the air tight ring will be squeezed out of the safety window.

Vent Pipe Filter: It improves the anti-blocking performance of the pressure cooker

Safety Lock Handles: When the handle closing cap is not properly in place, the upper pressure valve cannot be raised and the pressure cooker is not pressed to ensure the safety of the closed cap.

Air Vent / Cover Lock: Safety features that make it impossible to open the appliance until the pressure has been released.

HOW TO USE

1. Place the food and the required quantity of liquid in the pressure cooker.

Maximum filling levels:

a. solid food e.g. vegetables, meat, fish: not more than 3/4 capacity
b. cereals e.g. rice: not more than 2/3 capacity
c. liquids e.g. soups, water: not more than 12 capacity

1. Place the gasket in the cover; be sure it is fitted on side slot. To close: hold the upper handle with the right hand and lower handle with left hand. Align the arrow marks on the cover and the handle, then turn upper handle to the left, until upper and lower handles locks. Put the weight regulator on the nozzle.

2. Grab the handle with your both hands. Put the pressure cooker on top of the gas stove. Turn fire into medium high, fire should not be coming out of the edge of the pressure cooker.
