How do I pair my phone with the BTCR-35X?

Turn on the radio and go to Bluetooth settings on your phone. Search for devices and select 'blueLogic' to pair. The module will automatically connect to previously paired phones.

Which radio source should I select to use Bluetooth audio?

You need to select the VES/DVD mode on your factory radio. The module replaces the factory VES/DVD option. On some radios, this may be labeled as 'AUX' or 'DVD'.

Can I control music playback with steering wheel buttons?

Yes, when in VES/DVD mode and Bluetooth music is playing, SEEK UP/SKIP and SEEK DOWN/PREVIOUS work for next and previous track. For RAK radios, the SCAN button activates voice recognition.

How do I answer or end a call?

When a call comes in, the module automatically switches to VES/DVD mode. Use SEEK UP or SEEK DOWN (or SCAN on RAK radios) to pick up/hang up. Alternatively, you can answer from your phone.

Will the module work with navigation app voice prompts?

Yes, while in Bluetooth mode, navigation prompts from apps like Google Maps or Waze will be heard through the car speakers.

Do I need to disconnect the factory VES/DVD unit?

INSTALLATION DIAGRAM:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Remove the power windows switch plate by prying off with a plastic panel removal tool.

1. Slide back back the red connector locking tab.

1. Unplug the power window switch connector.

1. Remove the phillips screw in the middle of the dash trim.

1. Pull out the HVAC control knobs. 6. Using a plastic panel removal tool, carefully pry out the dash trim.

1. Unplug the radio connectors. 9. Plug the 12 pin Molex connector to the BTCR-35X module.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Plug in the 3 pin microphone connector to the harness.

1. Run the microphone cable along the A pillar and clip the microphone on the A pillar trim.

1. Plug in the auxiliary device to be used into the RCA aux input.

OPERATION:

1. Turn on the radio and go to the Bluetooth settings on the phone.
2. Pair the phone to blueLogic.
3. Change the source on the radio to VES/DVD mode.
4. Play music on your phone and audio will be heard on the car speakers.
5. BT music will stop when the source is changed, i.e. FM/AM/CD.
6. BT music will automatically resume when the source is changed back to VES/DVD mode.
7. When there is an incoming call, the module will automatically switch to VES/DVD mode and switch back to the source selected before when call is ended.

ACTIVATING THE AUXILIARY INPUT FUNCTION:

The Auxiliary Input function can be activated from a steering wheel control button or a radio button. The Auxiliary input takes the place of the factory VES/DVD option.

1. On the steering wheel controls, press and hold the "SEEK UP" for 2 - 3 seconds.
2. On the REC radio, press and hold the "SEEK UP" button.
3. On the RAK radio, press the “>>/FF” button once.

NOTE: The factory VES/DVD option is not supported with this module and needs to be disconnected if present.
