Frequently Asked Questions - SLSFE12 SereneLife

How do I open the safe for the first time?
Remove the emergency lock cover, insert the emergency key, turn it counterclockwise, then turn the knob counterclockwise to open the door. Remember to remove the key and store it safely.
How do I set a user code?
With the door open, press the red reset button inside the battery compartment. Enter your desired 3- to 8-digit code, then press the 'enter' or 'lock' button. Two beeps and a green flash confirm the code is stored.
How do I open the safe using the user code?
Enter your user code on the keypad (each press beeps and green light flashes). Press 'enter' or 'lock'. Two beeps and a green flash indicate correct code. Rotate the knob counterclockwise within 5 seconds to open.
What happens if I enter the wrong code?
A wrong code triggers three beeps. After three consecutive wrong entries, the safe emits a 20-second warning beep. Another three wrong entries cause a 3-minute warning beep. During beeping, the keypad is disabled; use the emergency key or remove batteries to stop the beeps.
How do I mount the safe to the wall or floor?
Use the pre-drilled anchor holes. For concrete walls, use expansion bolts; for wood, use the clamping screws. Drill holes, separate expansion bolts if needed, then secure the safe tightly.
How do I replace the batteries?
Open the safe using the emergency key. Locate the battery compartment inside, remove old batteries, and insert 4 new AA (1.5V) batteries. The buzzer will beep and green light flash to confirm.
What should I do if I forget my user code?
Use the emergency key to open the safe. Then press the red reset button inside the battery compartment to set a new code, following the standard code-setting procedure.
How do I lock the safe?
Turn the knob clockwise to close the door. The safe will automatically lock when the door is closed.
What do the green and red lights indicate?
Green light flashes during normal operation (key press, correct code). Red light indicates low battery when both green and red lights are on simultaneously. Replace batteries promptly.
