To set a new PIN, open the safe with the existing code or emergency key. Press the SET button inside (or follow the manual). Enter a 3-8 digit code, then press SET again. Test with the door open.
What should I do if I forget the PIN code?
Use the emergency override key to open the safe. Insert the key into the keyhole (usually hidden behind a cover) and turn. Once opened, you can reset the PIN using the SET button.
How do I reset the safe to factory settings?
Open the safe, remove the battery cover, take out the batteries, wait 30 seconds, then reinsert them. The safe should revert to the default PIN (often 1-2-3-4 or 0-0-0-0). Check the manual for the exact default.
How often should I replace the batteries?
Replace the 4 AA batteries when the low battery indicator (if present) appears, or every 6-12 months. Use fresh alkaline batteries for best performance.
