Frequently Asked Questions - Streamline Prime Magnetic Upright Bike PC 20670 Life Gear

How do I level the bike if it wobbles?
Turn the adjustable levelers on the rear stabilizer (part #62) clockwise or counterclockwise until the bike is stable on the floor. Ensure no objects are under the stabilizers.
How do I adjust the seat height?
Turn the round knob (part #21) counterclockwise to loosen, pull it out, then slide the seat post (part #13) up or down. Release the knob so it 'pops' into a locked hole, then tighten clockwise. The maximum insert depth mark must stay below the seat post cover edge.
How do I adjust the seat forward/backward?
Loosen the seat adjustment knob (part #63) under the seat sliding tube, slide the seat cushion to your desired position, then retighten the knob.
Why is my computer not turning on?
Ensure the adaptor is plugged into the bike's power jack on the left cover and into a working wall outlet. The computer will beep when powered. If still off, the adaptor may be faulty or the battery is low (if battery-powered). This model uses an adaptor; check connections.
How do I set a target time or distance?
In STOP mode with MANUAL displayed, press ENTER to cycle through TIME, DIST, CAL, PULSE. Use UP/DOWN to set values, press ENTER to confirm. Then press ST/SP to start; values count down to zero.
What does the Pulse Recovery test tell me?
After a workout, press PULSE RECOVERY and hold the hand pulse sensors. The computer counts down 60 seconds and displays a grade from F1.0 (excellent) to F6.0 (poor). It measures how quickly your heart rate recovers.
Why is there no resistance when pedaling?
Check if the magnetic brake cable is connected properly. Open the side covers and ensure the interval between the magnetic resistance and flywheel is correct. The belt may also be slipping; adjust via the tension mechanism inside.
How do I clean and maintain the bike?
Use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the frame and components. Do not use solvents. Regularly check that all bolts and nuts are tight. The turning parts should move freely without damage.
What is the maximum user weight?
The maximum weight capacity for this bike is 110 kg (242 lbs). Exceeding this may cause damage or injury.
Does the bike come with a warranty?
Yes, Life Gear provides a one-year limited warranty on the frame against defects in material and workmanship under normal home use. It covers replacement or repair of defective parts. Commercial use is not covered.

WARM UP AND COOL DOWN ROUTINE

A good exercise program consists of a warm-up, aerobic exercise, and a cool down. Do the entire program at least two to three times a week, resting for a day between workouts. After several months you can increase your workouts to four or five times per week.

AEROBIC EXERCISE is any sustained activity that sends oxygen to your muscles via your heart and lungs. Aerobic exercise improves the fitness of your lungs and heart. Aerobic fitness is promoted by any activity that uses your large muscles eg: legs, arms and buttocks. Your heart beats quickly and you breathe deeply. An aerobic exercise should be part of your entire exercise routine.

The WARM-UP is an important part of any workout. It should begin every session to prepare your body for more strenuous exercise by heating up and stretching your muscles, increasing your circulation and pulse rate, and delivering more oxygen to your muscles.

COOL DOWN at the end of your workout, repeat these exercises to reduce soreness in tired muscles.
