Frequently Asked Questions - ORH-451-X Orima

How do I set the temperature on my Orima ORH-451-X refrigerator?
Use the FRIDGE and FREEZER buttons on the control panel. Press repeatedly to cycle through temperature options. For the fridge: 2°C, 3°C, 4°C, 6°C, 8°C. For the freezer: -14°C, -16°C, -18°C, -20°C, -22°C. The selection flashes for 5 seconds before confirmation.
What does ECO mode do?
ECO mode automatically optimizes the temperature for energy savings. Press the MODE button until the ECO icon flashes, then confirms after 5 seconds. In this mode, the fridge and freezer temperatures are set automatically based on ambient conditions, and the FRIDGE/FREEZER buttons are disabled.
How do I use Super mode for fast freezing?
Press the MODE button to select Super mode. The Super icon flashes and confirms after 5 seconds. In Super mode, the freezer runs at maximum cooling for 50 hours or until manually exited. For large quantities of fresh food, activate it 24 hours before freezing.
Why is my refrigerator making unusual noises?
Common causes: the appliance is not level (adjust the feet), it touches walls or cabinets (move slightly), or a rear component vibrates against another part (carefully bend the component away). Normal sounds include compressor humming and refrigerant flow.
How do I clean the interior?
Unplug the appliance. Remove food and shelves. Clean with a soft cloth and lukewarm water with mild soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steam cleaners, or solvents like lemon juice or vinegar. Ensure everything is dry before restarting.
What should I do if the fridge door does not close properly?
Check if the appliance is level using the adjustable feet. If the upper doors are misaligned, lift the lower door and insert C-type washers (provided) between the bottom of the door and the middle hinge to even the height. Ensure rubber blocks on doors are not missing.
How can I store food to avoid waste?
Store raw meat/fish in sealed containers on the bottom shelf. Use the fresh zone for short-term fish storage at 4°C. Fruits and vegetables go in the crisper drawer. Freezer: keep at -18°C. For best quality, do not exceed storage times: fridge 1-3 days, freezer up to 1 month. Use the recommended setting: fridge +4°C, freezer -18°C.
What does the door open alarm mean?
If the fridge door is left open for more than 90 seconds, a periodic alarm sounds until the door is closed. This prevents energy loss and temperature rise. The freezer door does not have this alarm.
Do I need to defrost this refrigerator?
No. The ORH-451-X features No Frost technology, meaning it automatically defrosts both compartments. No manual defrosting is required. However, regular cleaning of the drain hole is needed to prevent water accumulation.
What safety precautions should I take?
Keep ventilation openings clear. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit (contains flammable R-600a). Do not use electrical appliances inside the fridge unless approved. Do not store explosive substances. Keep packaging and small parts (C washers, rubber blocks) away from children. Disconnect power before cleaning. Ensure the power cord is not trapped under the appliance.

How to store foodstuffs:

To avoid food waste, please refer to the recommended setting and storage times:

Fridge compartment: Different food, especially vegetable and fruit, have different storage temperature. The storage time is 1 to 3 days (temp setting: middle)

Freezer compartment: 1 week (temp setting: Min) and 1 month (temp setting: Max)

To optimize freezing speed and get more storage space, the freezer compartment can be used without the freezer drawers.

The quantity of fresh food that can be frozen in a specific time period is indicated on the rating plate. Load limits are determined by baskets, flaps, drawers, shelves etc. Make sure that these components can still close easily after loading.

To avoid food waste, please refer to the recommended setting and storage times found in the user manual.
