What is the minimum installation height above a gas hob?
The minimum distance between the hob surface and the underside of the hood is 65 cm. For electric hobs, it is typically 50 cm, but always check your local regulations.
How often should I clean the grease filters?
Grease filters should be cleaned every month under normal use. They can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstalling.

LED lights should be replaced by a qualified technician. Contact Brandt service to order the correct LED module (part number available in the manual).
Why is the hood noisy at high speed?
Normal noise at maximum speed can reach up to 65 dB(A). If unusually loud, check that the filters are clean and the ducting is not blocked.
How do I reset the filter saturation indicator?
After cleaning or replacing filters, press and hold the speed button for 5 seconds until the indicator light turns off. Refer to the manual for exact procedure.
What is the recommended charcoal filter replacement interval?
Charcoal filters should be replaced every 3 to 6 months, depending on cooking frequency and oil usage. They cannot be washed.
Can I install the hood myself?
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional to ensure proper electrical connection and compliance with safety standards. The hood is heavy (approx. 15 kg).

■ DUCTING VS. RECIRCULATING MODE

You can choose to install the hood as a ducting or recirculating mode:

- Ducting mode (Vented mode)

In the ducting mode, air is drawn into the hood, fat are trapped by aluminum filters.

Odors, fumes and condensation are then expelled to the outside. In this mode, only the aluminum filters are installed.

- Recirculating mode

In the recirculating mode, air is drawn into the hood, fats are trapped by the filters, the air then passes through charcoal filters to remove cooking odors, the purified air is then passed back into the kitchen. In this mode, both the aluminium filters and the charcoal filters must be installed.
