How do I install the external unit?

Fasten the rain shade on the wall 1.4-1.7m above ground. Remove the screw and bottom plate, then remove the silver cover. Install 4 x AA batteries (not supplied) observing polarity. Attach the unit to the rain shade, replace the cover and bottom plate.

How do I install the internal handset?

Remove the cradle from the rear of the handset and attach to the wall near a power outlet. Open the battery cover, install 4 x AA batteries (not supplied), replace cover. Insert the PSU jack into the handset socket, hook the handset onto the cradle, then plug the PSU into the outlet and switch on. The handset will beep.

What batteries are required and how long do they last?

Both the external unit and handset backup require 4 x AA alkaline batteries (not included). The handset uses only dry cells; rechargeable batteries are not supported. With good quality batteries, the handset can operate several hours during a power outage.

How does the doorbell system work?

In standby, the handset LED blinks every 3 seconds. When the call button is pressed, the handset chimes twice, LED becomes steady, and the external unit sounds intermittently for about one minute. Lift the handset to talk. Replace the handset securely to end the call. If unanswered, both units beep after one minute and return to standby.

What do the different LED states mean?

- Blinking every 3 seconds: standby mode.
- Steady on: call in progress or just pressed.
- Rapid blinking for 10 minutes: call button was pressed but not answered.
- Steady red at all times: batteries need replacement.

How do I replace the name card on the external unit?

Remove the name card cover on the external unit, fill in the card with desired information (e.g., name, room number), then replace the cover.

What is the wireless range and can it be affected?

The range is up to 150m in clear sight. Walls and obstacles may reduce the effective range. Ensure the units are within range for proper operation.

What should I do if the handset does not ring?

Check that the handset is securely on the cradle. Ensure batteries are installed and fresh, and the PSU is plugged in and switched on. If the external unit beeps 4 times when the call button is pressed, it may be out of range or the handset batteries are dead.

Is the external unit weatherproof?

Yes, the external unit has an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. However, the handset is not rated for outdoor use.

Can I repair the device myself if it breaks?

No, do not attempt to repair or disassemble the device as it invalidates the warranty. If damaged, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer. Dispose of the product according to local WEEE guidelines at end of life.

This wireless door phone system allows you to talk to your visitors before opening the door. No wires are required between the external and internal units, making this system very easy to install, and a range of up to 150m makes this useful for security and helpful for the elderly or less mobile.

Installation:

External Call Unit

1. Fasten the rain shade on the wall 1.4\~1.7m above the ground.
2. Remove the screw from the bottom of the external unit and remove the bottom plate.

1. Remove the silver cover and install 4 x AA batteries (not supplied) paying attention to the polarity indicators within the battery compartment.
2. Remove the name card cover and complete the card as required ie. name, room number, etc.

Internal Handset

Ensure that there is a power outlet within reach of the handset and its power supply.

1. Remove the cradle from the rear of the handset and attach to the wall.
2. Open the battery cover, install 4 x AA batteries (not supplied) and replace the cover.

1. Insert the power supply jack into the socket on the rear of the handset.
2. Hook the handset onto the cradle.

1. Plug the power supply into a power outlet and switch it on. The handset will beep.

The system is now ready for use.

Operation:

In standby mode, the handset LED will blink every 3 seconds.

When the call button is pressed on the external unit, the handset will chime twice and the LED will change from blinking to steady.

The external unit will also sound intermittently for approximately one minute or until the handset is picked up to receive the call.

Lift the handset to speak to the caller.

At the end of the call replace the handset ensuring that it is secure in its cradle. Both units will beep.

If left unanswered, both units will beep after one minute and the system will return to standby mode.

The handset LED will blink rapidly for 10 minutes to indicate that the call button has been pressed after which time it will return to one blink every 3 seconds.

With good quality batteries installed in the handset, the system will operate for several hours during a mains failure.

Please note that the handset is not capable of recharging batteries and only dry cells should be used.

System alerts:

A steady red LED on the handset at all times indicates that the batteries should be replaced.

If the units are out of range or the handset is dead, the external unit will beep four times when the call button is pressed.
