How do I set the clock on the Naxa NRC-176?

Connecting the Unit to

Power

Before plugging in the AC power cord to the AC wall outlet, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is same as that indicated on the rating plate.

The provided power adapter works with AC 120V power.

Battery Backup

Battery backup will preserve the current time, alarm settings in the case of power failure or interrupted AC power.

Insert (2) two UM-4 batteries (AAA) into the battery compartment. Be sure to observe the proper polarity (the "+" and "-" signs) as indicated inside the battery compartment.

Setting the Clock

1. Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet. Press the On/Off button to turn off the unit first. Press the STOP/adjust button to enter clock setup mode and the time display will begin to flash.

2. Press the button to set the desired hour.

3. Press the 📄 button to set the desired minute.

4. Press the ■/adjust button to confirm the current clock setting. The time display will stop flashing.

Take note of the PM LED indicator when setting the time.

12-Hour / 24-Hour Mode

1. In STANDBY mode, press and hold the ■/adjust for 2 seconds to select the 12-hour or 24-hour mode.

Setting the Alarms

1. With the unit in Clock mode (i.e., the radio is off):

- Press the 🔊1 button several times to set Alarm 1(Alarm1 time will flash on the display and Alarm1 indicator will light up).

- Press the 42 button several times to set Alarm 2(Alarm2 time will flash on the display and Alarm2 indicator will light up).

1. Press the 🎨 button to set the desired hour.

2. Press the 📄 button to set the desired minute.

3. When the desired alarm time is set, press the Q1 or Q2 button to confirm. The clock will then display.

Take note of the PM LED indicator when setting the alarm time.

- To choose to wake to Radio, Buzzer, or CD, simply slide the Radio/Buzz/CD switch to the desired position.

To enable or disable the alarms, press 1 or 2 . Check the Alarm1 and Alarm2 status lights on the display to see the current alarm state.

When the Alarm Sounds

Snooze Function

Whenever the alarm (radio or buzzer) activates, it can be temporarily suspended 9 minutes by pressing the SNOOZE button once.

The alarm will then sound again automatically after 9 minutes. This can be repeated 10 times.

Turning OFF the Alarm

Press the Ⓐ/al.off button to turn off the alarm off when it sounds.

How to Set the SLEEP TIMER

1. Slide the Radio/Buzz/CD switch to "Radio" or "CD" position.
2. Adjust the volume control.
3. Press the SLEEP button. The number 90 will appear on the clock display.
4. Repeatedly press the SLEEP button to cycle through the available pre-set lengths of time; 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, and 0 minutes.
5. The unit will automatically switch off when the SLEEP time expires.
6. To cancel the sleep time before it expires, simply press the ⏻/al.off or press the SLEEP button repeatedly to set sleep to 0.

CD Player Operation

1. Slide the Radio/Buzz/CD switch to "CD" position.
2. Open the CD door and insert a CD into the tray with the printed label facing up.
3. Close the CD door.
4. Turn On the unit by pressing the Ⓐ/al.off button.
5. The disc will begin to spin, then the LED will display the total number of tracks.
6. Press the ▶ button to play the first track.
7. To pause the CD while in playback, press the button. Press again to resume playback.
   Press the "CD disp" button to show the track number in CD mode.

Rewind/Forward Playback

1. The ◀ and ⚗ button can be used to skip to a different track number or scan tracks.
2. Press the button once to hear the beginning of the current track on the disc.
3. Press the ⬆ button twice continuously to hear the previous track on the disc.
4. Press the button once to hear the next track on the disc.
5. To fast forward or rewind, press and hold the 📌 or 🔊 button. Release the button to resume normal playback.

Repeat/Random Playback

1. The MODE button can be used to repeat a single track, repeat all tracks and enter random play mode.

2. While a CD is playing, press the MODE button once to repeat a single track. The CD repeat indicator will flash.

3. While a CD is playing, press the MODE button a second time to repeat all the tracks.
   The CD repeat indicator will remain steady.

4. While a CD is playing, press the MODE button a third time to enter Random playback. The CD random indicator will remain steady. (Unit will stop playback when all tracks have been played in Random Mode).
5. While a CD is playing, press the MODE button a fourth time to exit the Repeat/Random mode.

Programmed Playback

Program up to 20 tracks to play in a selected order.

1. While in Stop mode, Press the "prog" button and "P01" will appear in the CD Track LED Display and the Program LED indicator will begin to flash.

2. Press the ◀ or ▶ button to locate the desired track.

3. Press the "prog" button to select and store the track into memory. The next memory location (i.e. P02) will show in the CD Track LED Display.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program additional tracks.
5. Press the ▶ button to play the selected tracks in Program Mode. The track number will appear in the CD Track LED Display. The CD Program indicator will light up.
6. To advance to the next programmed track, press the ▶. After all programmed tracks have played, the CD player will return to Stop mode.
7. To clear the program function, press■/adjust to clear the previous programmed tracks.

Listening to the Radio

1. Slide the Radio/Buzz/CD switch to "Radio" position.
2. Slide the AM/FM/FM ST switch to the desired frequency.
3. Press the ⏻/al.off button to turn the radio on.
4. Rotate the Tuning Control to the desired radio station.
5. Adjust the Volume Control to your preferred listening level.
6. Press the ⏻/al.off button to turn the radio off.

The Stereo indicator will light up station is received in FM Stereo.

Headphone Jack

- Your radio is equipped with a Headphone Jack for private listening. Simply plug any 3.5mm stereo mini headphone plug into the headphone jack.

AUX IN Jack

1. Connect the AUX cable from the output jack of your MP3 player or mobile phone to the AUX input jack on the Radio.
2. Slide the Radio/Buzz/CD switch to "Radio" position.
3. Press the ⏻/al.off button to turn the radio on.
4. Adjust the Volume Control to your preferred listening level.
