Cauons

  • Make sure the power supply voltage is correct before using the camera.
  • Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
  • Do not touch sensor modules with ngers. If cleaning is necessary, use clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently. If the camera will not be used for an extended period please replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
  • Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places. Blooming or smoaring may occur otherwise (which is not a

  • The sensor may be burned out by a laser beam, so when any laser equipment is in using, make sure that the surface of sensor will not be exposed to the laser beam.
  • Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (the operating temperature shall be -10°C to 40°C), dusty or damp locaons, and do not expose it to high electromagnes radion.
  • To avoid heat accumulation, good veniaon is required for operating environment.
  • Keep the camera away from liquid while in use.
  • While in delivery, the camera shall be packed in its original packing, or packing of the same texture.
  • Regular port replacement: a few parts (e.g. electrolytic capacitor) of the equipment shall be replaced regularly according to their average enduring me. The average me varies because of differences between operating environment and using history, so regular checking is recommended for all the users. Please contact with your dealer for more details.

For cameras support power over Ethernet (PoE), the power is passed along with data on Ethernet cabling. And a switch supports PoE function is required.

2 Installaon

Before you start:

  • Make sure the device in the package is in good condition and all the assembly parts are included.
  • The standard power supply is 12 VDC, make sure your power
  • Make sure all the related equipment is power-o during the installaoon.
  • Check the specification of the products for the installation environment.
  • Make sure that the wall is strong enough to withstand four mcs the weight of the camera and the bracket.
  • Make sure that there is no receive surface too close to the camera lens. The IR light from the camera may react back into the lens causing reocon.

Note:

Four types of the camera share the same installation method, we take type III/IV turret camera as the example to illustrate the installation.

Ceiling Mounng 2.1

Before you start:

Both wall mouning and ceiling mouning are suitable for the turret camera. Ceiling mouning will be taken as an example in this second.

And you can take steps of ceiling mouting as a reference for wall mouting.

Steps:

  1. Paste the drill template (supplied) to the desired moung
    poslon on the ceiling.
  2. Drill the screw holes and the cable hole in the ceiling according to
    the drill template.

Drill the cable hole, when adopting ceiling outlet to route the cable.

  1. Disassemble the camera.

1). Rotate the camera to align the notch to one of the marks.
2). Pry the mourng base to remove the mourng base with the camera body with a at object, e.g., a coin.

  1. Fix the mounting base to the ceiling with supplied screws.

Notes:

  • In the supplied screw package, both self-tapping screws, and
  • If the ceiling is cement, expansion bolts are required to x the cement. If the ceiling is wooden, self-tapping screws are required.

  1. Route the cables through the cable hole or the side opening.
  2. Install the camera body back to the mounting base.

  1. Connect the power cord and network cable.
  2. Power on the camera, and set the network congraton for details, refer to 3 Set the Network Camera over the LAN and 4 Access via Web Browser; to check whether the image is good from the opium angle. If not, adjust the surveillance angle.

2.2 Mounng with Juncon Box

Before you start:

  • You need to purchase a juncon box separately if you adopt the mouning with a juncon box.
  • Both wall moung and ceiling moung are suitable for the turret camera. Wall moung will be taken as an example in this section. And you can take steps of wall moung as a reference for the ceiling moung.

Steps:

  1. Paste the drill template (supplied) to the desired mouting posion on the wall.
  2. Drill the screw holes and the cable hole in the wall according to the drill template.

  1. Take apart the junction box, and x the camera's mounting base with three MP4 screws on the junction box's cover.

  1. Secure the juncon box's body on the wall with four P44 x 25 screws.

  2. Repeat steps 5 to 8 of 2.1 Ceiling Mounting to complete the installation.

2.3 Mounng with Inclined Base

Before you start:

  • You need to purchase an inclined base separately if you adopt the mouting with an inclined base.
  • Both wall moung and ceiling moung are suitable for the turret camera. Wall moung will be taken as an example in this section. And you can take steps of wall moung as a reference for the ceiling moung.

Steps:

  1. Paste the drill template to the wall.
  2. Drill screw holes and the cable hole (oponal) on the wall according to the supplied drill template.

  1. Disassemble the inclined base by the screw driver.
  2. Install the turret camera's mounting base on the inclined base cover with three PMI screws.

2.4 Wall Mounng

Note:

You need to purchase a wall mounting bracket separately.

Steps:

  1. Drill four screw holes in the wall according to the holes of the
    bracket.
  2. Install the bracket to the wall by aligning the four screw holes of
    the bracket with expansion screws on the wall.
  3. Secure the bracket with four hex nuts and washers.

  1. Install the mounting base of the turret camera to the wall mounting bracket and secure them with supplied screws.

3 Set the Network Camera over the LAN

Note:

You shall acknowledge that the use of the product with Internet access might be under network security risks. For avoidance of any networkacks and information leakage, please strengthen your own protocol.

3.2 Acvate the Camera

You are required to octave the camera rst by seng a strong

password for it before you can use the camera.

Acvaon via web browser, acvaon via SADP, and acvaon via

clientaware are all supported. We will take avson via SADP

sware and avson via web browser as examples to introduce

the camera acvaan.

Acvaon via Web Browser 3.2.1

Steps:

  1. Power on the camera. Connect the camera to your computer or the switch/router which your computer connects to.

  2. Input the IP address into the address bar of the web browser, and press Enter to enter the advaon Interface.

Notes:

• The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.64.

- The computer and the camera should belong to the same subnet.

- For the camera enables the DHCP by default, you need to use the SADP sware to search the IP address.

You can enable the Hik-Connect service for the device during advaon. Refer to Chapter 5.1 for detailed informaon.

  1. Click Acvate to start acvapo.

You can check whether the acvaon is completed on the popup window. If acvaon failed, make sure that the password meets the requirement and try again.

3.3 Modify the IP Address

Purpose:

To view and congregate the camera via LAN (Local Area Network), you need to connect the network camera in the same subnet with your PC.

Use the SADP soware or client soware to search and change the IP address of the device. We take modifying the IP Address via SADP soware as an example to introduce the IP address modification.

For IP address modicoan via client sware, refer to the user manual of client sware.

Steps:

  1. Run the 5ADP soware.
  2. Select an active device.
  3. Change the device IP address to the same subnet with your computer by other modifying the IP address manually or checking the checkbox of Enable DHCP.

Note:

  1. Input the admin password and click Modify to octave your IP address modification.

The batch IP address modification is supported by the SADP. Refer to the user manual of SADP for details.

4 Access via Web Browser

System Requirement:

Operating System: Microso Windows XP SP1 and above version

CPU: 2.0 GHz or higher

RAM: 1G or higher

Display: 1024×768 resolution or higher

Web Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0 and above version, Apple Safari

5.0.2 and above version, Mozilla Firefox 5.0 and above version and

Google Chrome 18 and above version

Steps:

  1. Open the web browser.

  2. In the browser address bar, input the IP address of the network camera, and press the Enter key to enter the login interface.

Note:

The default IP address is 192.168.1.64. You are recommended to change the IP address to the same subnet with your computer.

  1. Input the user name and password.

The admin user should congregate the device accounts and user/operator permissions properly. Delete the unnecessary accounts and user/operator permissions.

Note:

The device IP address gets locked if the admin user performs 7 failed password attempts (5 attempts for the user/operator).

  1. Install the plug in before viewing the live video and managing the camera. Follow the installation prompts to install the plug-in.

5 Operate via Hik-Connect App

Purpose:

Hik-Connect is an application for mobile devices. With the App, you can view live image of the camera, receive alarm nocaon and so

on.

Note:

Hik-Connect service is not supported by certain camera models.

5.1 Enable Hik-Connect Service on Camera

Purpose:

Hik-Connect service should be enabled on your camera before using the service.

You can enable the service through SADP sowie or web browser.

Steps

  1. Check the checkbox of Enable Hik-Connect on:

1). "Advate the Device" page during camera action, refer to Chapter 3.2.2.

2). Or "Modify Network Parameters" page during modifying IP address, refer to Chapter 3.3.

  1. Create a vericaon code or change the vericaon code.

To enable Mkt Correct service, you need to create a verification code or change the verification code. Verification Code ****** It is CC lettered on verification code and/or check the code is recommended to are a continuation of no less than if it offers or applies. Confirm Verification Code ****** The Mkt Correct service will request interest users. Please read for the "Criteria of Service and Process Details" before opening the service.

  2. Check the checkbox of Enable
  3. Click and read "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" in pop-up window.

5.2 Hik-Connect Setup

Steps.

  1. Download and install the Hik-Connect app by searching "Hik Connect" in App Store or Google Play™.
  2. Launch the app and register for a Hik-Connect user account.
  3. Log in Hik-Connect app ser registraion.

5.3 Add Camera to Hik-Connect

Before you start:

You need to enable the Hik-Connect service on camera before adding it to your Hik-Connect account. Refer to Chapter 5.1.

Steps:

  1. Use a network cable to connect the camera with a router if the camera does not support Wi-Fi.

Note:

Aer the camera connects to the network, please wait one minute

before any operation on the camera using Hik-Connect app.

  1. In the Hik-Connect app, tap "4" on the upper-right corner and then scan the QR code of the camera to add the camera.

You can find the QR code on the camera or on the cover of the Quick Start Guide of the camera in the package.

Note:

If the QR code is missing or too blur to be recognized, you can also add the camera by tapping the neon and impung the camera's serial number.

. Input the verification code of your camera.

Note:

- The required verification code is the code you create or change when you enabling Hit Connect service on camera.

- If you forget the vericaon code, you can check the current vericaon code on Plaorm Access configuration page via web browser.

  1. Follow the prompts to set the network connection and add the camera to your Hik-Connect account.

5.4 Inialize the Memory Card

Check the memory card status by tapping on the Storage Status in

the Device Sengs interface

If the memory card status displays as Uninitialized, tap to initialize

It. The status will then change to Normal. You can then start

recarding any event triggered video in the camera such as indox
