How to break in the NERO earphones?

Usage

The first listening session starts with tuning the earphone fit, by using the enclosed ear lips. Choose the lips that allows to enter the ear canal easily, still with a tight fit. Too large lips will quickly be uncomfortable, too small will not remain sealed in desired position, might pop out and will ask has pressure and adjacent noise will enter the ear canal.

Next step is routing of the cable to achieve ease of use and to prevent the cable from getting stuck. Use the supplied clip to achieve desired cable routing. Now, make sure that your music device does not play any content

and that the output volume is set to an initially low level.

IMPORTANT! Connecting/d disconnecting audio equipment while playing, might damage the devices and your ears by sudden sound bursts!

Connect the NERO earphone, by holding the connector housing firmly and gently pressing the 3.5mm metal connector plug in to the music device earphone output (refer to device manual). Start playing music and increase volume to desired level. Enjoy! WARNING! Highly addictive!

Keep the earphones, initial connector plug and fittings clean. Fittings are washable in water and household soap. Use a soft, dry cloth for a gentle cleaning of the NERO earphones.

Break-in

After extensive tests during the development of the sociophie grade NERO earphones, we have found that they require a break-in period to reach peak performance.

We recommend the following steps:

1. Play music at a low level (you should be able to wear the earphones and hear sounds from your surroundings) continuously for 5 hours. Playing too loud will result in a harsh sounding tree (high notes) and imprecise bass.

2. Let the earphones rest for 2 hours.

3. Play music again, this time 8 hours at 50% of maximum level.

4. Let the earphones reel for 2 hours.

5. Play music at high level for 5 hours. We do not recommend that you wear the earphones during this step. Note! The volume should not exceed the level where there is an obvious distortion subtle even without wearing the earphones. At those levels the earphones might be damaged.

6. Final stop is to let the earphones rest again for 2 hours. Done!

Cable

We have chosen a flat cable for the NERO earphones to reduce hassle. The cable insulation consists of a thermoplastic elastomer. TPE. The benefits are high resistance to heat, cold, dirt and chemicals. The cable lead strands consists of 5N high purity copper (99.99999%) resulting in maximum sound signal integrity.

Further the cable is reinforced by Kevler® to enable long life during everyday active usage. The hot 3.5mm stereo connector plug is gold plated to counteract corrosion, to give the best possible electrical connection and is equipped with a silicone cable protection.

Microphone Remote Control The NERO earphones contains a unique proprietary patented digital microphone and remote control. The microphone with HD Voice support provides for 300° setup and is 100% radio wave noise free. The unique construction of the remote control enables you to operate both iOS, Android and Windows devices. Turn the switch at the back of the remote control to position 1 or 2 depending on the type of device you wish to connect to the NERO earphones.
