Frequently Asked Questions - CJ-7500E CLARION

How do I install the Clarion CJ-7500E dashcam?
Clean the windshield area and attach the adhesive mount. Insert a MicroSD card (Class 10, up to 64 GB). Connect the car charger to the USB port and route the cable. Adjust the camera angle, then start the vehicle to begin recording automatically.
What video quality does the CJ-7500E record?
It records in Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) at 30 frames per second. The 140° wide-angle lens captures a broad view of the road.
Can I record at night?
Yes, the CJ-7500E has night vision using infrared LEDs. In low-light conditions, it automatically switches to night mode, providing clear video even in darkness.
How do I enable parking mode?
Parking mode requires a hardwire kit (sold separately). Once installed, the dashcam will activate upon detecting movement or impact while the vehicle is parked. Recorded clips are saved separately.
What is loop recording and how does it work?
Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest video files when the memory card is full. This ensures continuous recording without manual management. Important clips (e.g., from G-Sensor events) are locked and not overwritten.
How do I view recorded footage?
You can view footage on the built-in 2.0-inch display directly, or remove the MicroSD card and play it on a computer using a card reader. The dashcam also has a USB connection for file transfer.
What memory card should I use?
Use a MicroSD card with a capacity up to 64 GB. For best performance, choose a Class 10 or UHS-I card to handle high-bitrate Full HD video.
How do I update the firmware?
Visit the Clarion support website to download the latest firmware for the CJ-7500E. Copy the .bin file to a blank MicroSD card, insert it into the dashcam, and follow the update instructions in the manual.
What should I do if the dashcam freezes or stops recording?
Try a reset by pressing the reset button with a paperclip. If the issue persists, reformat the MicroSD card inside the dashcam (via menu) or replace it. Check the charger connection and ensure the fuse is not blown.
Where can I find the user manual?
The user manual is available for free download in PDF format from notice-facile.com. Search for 'Clarion CJ-7500E' and select English as the language. It contains 24 pages of detailed instructions.
