To regularly clean the glass of your SMEG CS19-5 cooker door, simply use paper towels, which are usually sufficient to keep the glass clean. In case of persistent dirt or ingrained residues, wash the glass with a damp sponge and a common neutral detergent, then rinse and wipe with a soft cloth.
If you need to access the glass to replace it or for a deep clean, it is necessary to disassemble the door. Before any intervention, ensure that the appliance is unplugged from its power supply. Fully open the oven door.
To remove the door, insert the pivots provided with your cooker into the holes located on the inner side of the door. Then close the door at an angle of about 45 degrees (and not fully closed). Gently lift the door upwards and pull it towards you to completely extract it from its housing.
Once the door is removed, you can access the glass and its components. To reassemble the door, insert the hinges into the grooves designed for this purpose on the oven, then let the door gradually lower while guiding it. Finally, remove the pivots and fully close the door.
