CAUTION: BEFORE USING THE DEVICE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

DETAILED SAFETY REGULATIONS

  • Ensure the mains voltage matches the voltage on the tool rating plate.
  • Connect the mixer only to electrical system equipped with residual current circuit breaker that will cut the power off when earth leakage current exceeds 30 mA in less than 30 ms.
  • Connect the mixer only with appropriate power cord, designed for outdoor use.
  • Do not use the mixer in environment with potentially explosive atmosphere. Do not mix solvents or substances that contain solvents with ignition temperature below 210^ C.
  • Do not wind the power cord around any part of the mixer body.
  • Switch the mixer on and off only when the mixing paddle is immersed in a container.
  • Ensure the container for mixing is well fixed.
  • Do not put your hands or any other objects into the container when mixing.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE

Mixer is a hand-held power tool equipped with two paddles, which rotate in opposite direction (operation with single paddle is also possible). There are many possible applications of mixer in building industry and other fields. Possibility of using various paddles allows mixing materials with various properties, e.g. cement, gypsum, stucco, paint, plaster, self levelling underlayment and other chemicals. Regardless of the mixture composition and type of paddles used, it is recommended to mix no more than 160 litres of product at a time.

Graphite 58G788 - CONSTRUCTION AND USE - 1

The mixer is designed for mixing only non-flammable and non-explosive substances. Use the mixer according to the manufacturer's instructions only.

INFORMATION

EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES

  1. Mixer paddle - 2 pcs
  2. Flat spanner - 2 pcs

INSTALLATION OF WORKING TOOLS

Graphite 58G788 - INSTALLATION OF WORKING TOOLS - 1

Disconnect the mixer from power supply.

  • Insert paddle shaft (9) into holder hole (7), slide it to the stop (it may be necessary to rotate the paddle so the protrusion in the paddle shaft can be located in the holder groove).
  • Use flat spanners to tighten the holder nut (2) (fig. A).
  • Repeat above procedure to install the second mixing paddle.

DEINSTALLATION OF WORKING TOOLS

Graphite 58G788 - DEINSTALLATION OF WORKING TOOLS - 1

Disconnect the mixer from power supply.

  • Loosen and unscrew the holder nut (2).
    • Take the mixer paddle out of the holder (7).
  • Repeat for the other mixer paddle.

Graphite 58G788 - Disconnect the mixer from power supply. - 1

Remove mixing paddles from the mixer and clean at once when the work is finished.

SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF

The mains voltage must match the voltage on the rating plate of the mixer.

Graphite 58G788 - SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF - 1

The mixer is equipped with the switch lock button that protects against accidental start up.

Switching on

  • Press the switch lock button (4) (fig. B).
  • Press the switch button (5).

Switching off

- Release pressure on the switch button (5).

GEAR SWITCH

Graphite 58G788 - GEAR SWITCH - 1

Range of spindles rotational speed can be changed with the use of two-position gear switch (8) (fig. C). Set the switch in appropriate position depending on the type of mixed material.

  • Position marked with one dot is for lower rotational speed of spindles and greater torque (designed for mixing viscous substances, such as adhesive mortars, cement, plasters etc.).
  • When the wheel is turned left to position marked with two dots, the rotational speed is greater with lower torque (setting for mixing of liquids).

Graphite 58G788 - GEAR SWITCH - 2

Never change the gear switch position during operation of the mixer. It may damage the mixer. Turn the paddles slightly if the gear switch position cannot be changed.

ROTATIONAL SPEED CONTROL

Graphite 58G788 - ROTATIONAL SPEED CONTROL - 1

Wheel for speed control of the spindles (1) is located on the mixer handle (fig. D). Adjustment range is from 1 to 6. Rotational speed of the spindles can be changed in either gear. Turn the speed control wheel (1) towards greater values to increase rotational speed, turn the wheel towards lower values to reduce rotational speed.

PRIOR TO OPERATION

Graphite 58G788 - PRIOR TO OPERATION - 1

  • Ensure the power supply voltage is 230 V AC.
  • Connect the mixer to power supply network.
  • During operation, always hold the mixer firmly with both hands by two handles (6).

  • Set gear switch and adjustment wheels in desired positions.

  • Put paddles in material that you plan to mix.

● Electronic controller allows slow start of the mixing (no splash) and slow stop.

- Switch on the mixer and start working.

Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before commencing any activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.

● Always keep the mixer clean (carefully check the fixing sleeves and holders are clean).
● Each time after operation clean paddles with water or quartz sand.
- Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning the mixer. Use soft cloth.
- Clean ventilation holes regularly to prevent motor overheating.
- In case of excessive commutator sparking check technical condition of carbon brushes of the motor.
- Check condition of carbon brushes every 60 hours of operation.
- Check technical condition of the power cord on a regular basis and replace it immediately, when any damage is found.
- Store the mixer in dry place, beyond reach of children.
- Any maintenance or repairs should be carried out by an authorized service workshop.

REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES

Graphite 58G788 - REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES - 1

Replace immediately worn out (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked motor carbon brushes. Always replace both brushes at a time.

  • Undo the fixing screws and remove the rear cover (3) (fig. E).
  • Slide brush holders (b) out of their sockets and remove worn out carbon brushes (fig. F).
  • Remove any carbon dust with compressed air.
  • Insert new carbon brushes (carbon brushes should easily move into brush holders).
  • Put brush holders (b) in their sockets.
    • Install the rear cover (3), tighten the screws.

Graphite 58G788 - REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES - 2

After replacement of carbon brushes start the mixer without load and wait until carbon brushes fit to the motor commutator and take optimal shape. Entrust replacement of carbon brushes only to a qualified person. Only original parts should be used.

Graphite 58G788 - REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES - 3

All faults should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the manufacturer.
