Accessible surface temperatures can be high during appliance operation.
SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS
- Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and keep them for future reference.
- KERNAU shall not be liable for any use that is not in accordance with the instructions.
- Please check that the supply voltage of your home electrical system corresponds to the voltage on the appliance's rating plate.
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose other than that described in the user manual and use only original accessories.
- Always place the ingredients to be fried inside the basket to prevent them from coming into contact with the heating components.
- Do not cover the air inlets and outlets while the appliance is switched on.
- Do not fill the container with oil as this could pose a fire hazard.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, or rinse it under running water for cleaning.
- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the power cord or the appliance itself are damaged.
- If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at an Authorized Flama Technical Assistance Service in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and over and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and cord out of the reach of children under 8 years old.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- This appliance must only be connected to an earthed socket.
• Always check that the plug is firmly inserted into the socket.
- Always place and use the appliance on a dry, stable and horizontal surface, positioning the handles (if any) so as to prevent the spillage of hot liquids.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated using an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- Do not place the appliance against a wall or other appliances.
- Leave at least 10cm of free space at the back and sides and 10cm of free space above the appliance. Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
- During hot air frying, hot steam is released through the air outlets. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and air outlets. Also be careful with hot steam and air when removing the container from the appliance.
- Accessible surfaces may become hot during use.
- The appliance's accessories heat up when you use them. Take care when handling them.
• Before using the appliance, always make sure that the heating component and its surroundings are clean and free from food traces to ensure a proper operation.
- Do not place the appliance near or on top of a gas stove or any type of electric stove or electric hob, or inside a heated oven.
- The appliance is intended for regular household use only. It is not intended for environments such as staff pantries in stores, offices, farms, and other work environments. It is also not suitable for use by customers in hotels, motels, inns, and other residential environments.
- This appliance was designed to be used at ambient temperatures between 5^ and 40^ .
• Always switch off the appliance after each use by removing the plug from the power socket.
- Allow the appliance to cool down for approximately 30 minutes before handling or cleaning it.
- Do not overfill the basket.
• Make sure that the ingredients prepared in this appliance come out golden yellow, rather than dark or brown. Dispose of burnt residues. Do not fry fresh potatoes at a temperature higher than 180^ C (to reduce acrylamide production).
• After removing the container with the basket from the appliance, place it on a suitable surface
and allow it to sit for 30 seconds before removing the basket from the container.
- Be careful when cleaning the upper area of the preparation chamber: hot resistance, edges of metal parts.
- Do not use the appliance for any other purpose other than that described in the instruction manual and use only original accessories.

- Any intervention other than cleaning must be carried out only by authorized KERNAU agents.

CAUTION
This appliance uses hot air. Do not fill the fryer drawer with oil, frying fat or any other liquid. Do not touch hot surfaces.
This appliance is intended for home use only.
Do not touch the drawer or basket for some time after use, as they get very hot.
The drawer will be hot after the cooking process. Always place it on a heat-resistant surface when removing it from the appliance.
CHAPTER 1. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the appliance after every use. Unplug from the power outlet and always wait for the fryer to cool down before cleaning.

IMPORTANT:
Do not submerge the appliance, the power cord or plug in any type of liquid.
Remove the drawer to allow the fryer to cool down more quickly.
The drawer and the basket have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating.
Do not use any abrasive material or sharp utensils to clean the fryer or any of its parts.
Allow all parts and surfaces to dry completely before using the appliance again.
Wash the drawer and basket with hot water, a little dish detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. You can use a degreasing liquid to remove any remaining residue.
Tip: If food remains stuck to the basket or drawer, soak them in hot, soapy water for about 1 hour. Wash and dry.
Clean the inside of the appliance with warm water and a non-abrasive sponge.
Fully clean the inside to remove all crumbs and residue, but do NOT clean the heating elements in the upper portion.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and sponge, then wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
The basket and the drawer can be washed in the dishwasher.
Never place the basket in the drawer without the rubber supports, as this could damage the non-stick coating of the parts.
CHAPTER 2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use so that you can intervene quickly in the event of danger.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging material. Remove all stickers or labels from the appliance, except the appliance's rating plate. Wash the drawer and basket with hot water, a little dish detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth. When using the fryer for the first time, you may notice smoke or a slight odor during the first minutes of use. This is normal. Make sure the area is well ventilated.
OVERHEATING PROTECTION
When the temperature exceeds 300 °C , the fryer will stop working and the panel will display “E4”. The fan will continue to work for at least 30 seconds more to cool down the fryer.
USE
Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
Leave at least 50 mm of space around the appliance.
Keep oven mitts (or a tea towel) handy, use heat-resistant tongs and a heat-resistant mat or dinner plate to rest the drawer on.
To remove the drawer from the body, hold the upper part of the body.
Grasp the drawer handle and slide the drawer out of the body.
Place the drawer on a heat-resistant mat.
To remove the basket from the drawer, use the orifices on the tray to remove it by hand; wait until the basket and drawer cool down.
Slide the drawer into the fryer until it fits into place. The appliance will not work unless the drawer is properly inserted.
Do not fill the basket base with oil or any other liquid.
Never place the basket in the drawer without the rubber supports, as this could damage the non-stick coating of the parts.

NOTE
when a program ends, if the interior temperature of the fryer is over 100^ C, the fan will continue working for at least 20 seconds.

Plug the appliance into a power outlet. The ON/OFF button will turn red, indicating that the fryer is in standby mode.
Press the ON/OFF button; the fryer will enter operating mode, the control panel will activate. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off the appliance and return to standby mode.
Press the Menu button to select an automatic program; the selected program will flash.
Press the Start/Pause button to start cooking.

NOTE
To change the programmed time and temperature, press the temperature and time selection button; you may increase or decrease the temperature and time using the temperature and time adjustment buttons.

NOTE
For best results, we recommend using the preheating function.
DELAY START FUNCTION
Press the Menu button to select an automatic program; the selected program will flash.
Press the delay start button.
Program the time with the temperature and time adjustment buttons. The default time is 90 minutes; the time can be adjusted to between 10 and 900 minutes.
Press the delay start button again; the selected program will appear on the display together with the programmed time, which will begin counting down.
To cancel, press the delay start button again.
PREHEAT FUNCTION
Press the button the preheat the drawer for 3 minutes. The default temperature is 200^ and cannot be adjusted. When the time is up, READY will appear on the control panel and the latter will activate. The fryer will emit an alert sound. Press the button again to cancel the command.
SHAKE FUNCTION

NOTE
The shake function is default in the Potatoes, Vegetables and Fish programs.
Press the Menu button to select an automatic program; the selected program will flash.
Press the Shake button; the button will flash.
Press the Start/Pause button to start cooking.
In the middle of the cooking time, the fryer will emit an alert sound.
Slide the drawer out of the fryer and shake/turn the foods over, the program will resume as soon as the drawer is put back in place.

NOTE
If the user does not intervene (remove the drawer from the fryer), the alert sound will repeat.
KEEP WARM FUNCTION
For this function, the default setting is 65^ C, 15 minutes; the temperature can be adjusted between 60-70^ C and the time from 1-60 minutes.
After adjusting, press the Start/Pause button to start.
STORAGE
Let the appliance cool down completely before storing it. Check that all parts are clean and dry. Store the fryer in a dry place.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the fryer, as this can damage it.
ANOMALIES AND REPAIR
In case of malfunction, please take the appliance to an authorized Technical Assistance Service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance, as this may be dangerous.
CHAPTER 3. PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

The main objective of the separate collection of this waste is to reduce the quantity to be disposed of, promote re use, recycling and other forms of recovery in order to reduce its negative effects on the environment.
When it is no longer in use, this appliance must not be disposed of together with other unsorted municipal waste.
The user is responsible for delivering it free of charge to the selective collection facilities available for that purpose.
Pieces of equipment that are no longer in use can also be taken back at points of sale, by purchasing new pieces of equipment that are equivalent and have the same functions.
For more detailed information on collection points, please contact your City Council or a point of sale for this equipment.
CHAPTER 4. DISPOSAL OF USED EQUIPENT
This device has been designed and manufactured of high-quality reusable materials and components.
The symbol of the crossed waste container placed on the product (Fig. A) means that the product is subject to selective collection in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council. a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol (Fig. B) placed on the product means that the product contains batteries that are subject to separate collection in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council. Such marking informs that electrical and electronic equipment and batteries (if any) must not be disposed of with other household waste after the period of use.
The user is obliged to return waste equipment and batteries (if any) to collection points for waste electrical and electronic equipment and batteries (if any). Collectors of such waste, including waste equipment collectors, treatment plants, distributors (shops), municipal waste separate collection points (municipal units), and other entities specified by law form an appropriate system to return this kind of equipment.
Correct disposal of waste equipment and batteries (if any) allows avoiding consequences that may be harmful to health and the environment, caused by the possible presence of hazardous components in the equipment and batteries, and inappropriate storage and processing of such equipment and batteries. Households play an important role in contributing to the reuse and recovery, including recycling, of waste equipment. At this stage, attitudes are formed, affecting the common good, which is a clean natural environment.
Moreover, households are one of the largest users of small equipment and the rational management thereof at this stage affects the recovery of secondary raw materials. Penalties may be imposed in accordance with national legislation for improper disposal of this product. If the device has a lock, please remove it for the safety of all persons who may later come into contact with the device. Some refrigerators and freezers contain insulation material and CFC refrigerant. Therefore, be careful not to pollute the environment when you dispose of your old refrigerator.
