Frequently Asked Questions - ZI-HDR165 Zipper

How do I start the pressure washer?
Connect the water supply and turn on the tap. Bleed the machine by releasing the gun lock and pressing the trigger until a steady water jet flows. Then set the ON-OFF switch to 'I' and press the trigger to start cleaning.
Can I use the pressure washer with a detergent?
Yes. Fill the detergent container, install the detergent nozzle on the lance, and use the machine as usual. For the ZI-HDR165, use the dedicated detergent nozzle. In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of water.
How do I adjust the water spray pattern?
Turn the nozzle head while the machine is stopped to adjust from a single jet to a multiple fan spray. Never adjust the nozzle when the machine is running to avoid injury.
What should I do if the machine doesn't start?
Check the power connection, fuse, and extension cable. Ensure the socket works. If the fuse blows, replace it and disconnect other devices. If the problem persists, contact a qualified electrician.
How do I clean the nozzle?
Use the included nozzle pin to remove debris from the nozzle opening. Rinse with water afterward. Regular cleaning prevents clogging.
How should I store the pressure washer?
Drain all water from the pump and hose. Store the machine in a dry, frost-proof place. Make sure the accessories are stowed on the machine and the area is locked to prevent unauthorized access.
What is the maximum water temperature I can use?
The maximum inlet water temperature is 60 °C. Do not use hot water above 60 °C as it can damage the machine.
Can I connect the machine directly to the drinking water supply?
No. According to regulations, you must use a system separator (EN 12729 type BA) between the water supply and the machine. The machine is not suitable for direct connection to the drinking water supply.
What safety features does the machine have?
The machine includes an unloader valve to relieve excess pressure, a thermal sensor to protect the motor from overheating, and a gun lock to prevent accidental operation.
How often should I clean the water filter?
Clean the water filter at least once a month, or more often depending on water quality. Use a screwdriver to remove the filter from the water inlet connector and rinse it clean.

WARNING

Zipper ZI-HDR165 - WARNING - 1

Danger due to electrical voltage!

Handling the machine with connected power supply may result in serious injury or death.

→ Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before maintenance or repair work and secure it against unintentional reconnection.

16.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning guarantees the long service life of your machine and is a prerequisite for its safe operation.

NOTE: The use of solvents, aggressive chemicals or scouring agents can cause damage to the plastic parts of the machine!

Thus, when cleaning, use only water and, if necessary, mild detergents.

• We recommend cleaning the machine immediately after each use.
- Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
- Wipe the machine housing with a moist cloth and some soft soap or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.

16.2 Maintenance

The machine is low-maintenance and only a few parts need to be serviced. Malfunctions or defects that could affect your safety must be repaired immediately!

• Before each operation, check the perfect condition of the safety devices.
- Regularly check the perfect and legible condition of the warning and safety labels of the machine.
- Use only proper and suitable tools.
- Use only original spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
