- Wipe dry the appliance after it is washed.
USE OF THE STEAMER
- Make sure the appliance is not connected to the mains.
- Place the steamer base (8) on a flat, stable and even surface.
- Put the steam generator cover (7) on the steam generator unit (13).
- Pour the desired amount of water directly into the water container (15), but not less than minimum amount (300 ml) and not more than the maximum amount (1200 ml). When pouring the water, its level can also be read from the water level indicator (11).
- Put the drip tray with handles (6) on the steam generator cover (7). Make sure that the tray (6) properly matches the steamer base (8).
- Put the food articles that you wish to cook into bowls (1), (2) and (3). When cooking a smaller amount of food, you can only use the bottom bowl (1) or the bottom bowl (1) and the middle bowl (2). The markings can be found on the handles of the bowls.
- Place the bowls filled with food onto the drip tray (6), making sure that they are in the correct order, and place the steamer lid (4) on the bowl that is placed on top.
- When cooking loose products (rice, groats), insert the container (5) into the bowl (1), (2) or (3) and place the steamer lid (4) on top.
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- Use the clock dial (10) to set the desired cooking time for the products - the cooking process will be signalled by the indicator light (9). You can set the steamer running time between 0
and 60 minutes. Bear in mind though, especially when setting short times, that for the first 3 minutes of operation, the steamer will need to reach the right temperature.
- While the appliance is running, check the water level in the steamer - if it falls below the minimum level, top it up using the water inlet (12).
CAUTION! The operation of the steamer without water can lead to permanent failure of the appliance. Control the water level on a current basis.
CAUTION! Lift the bowls and the lid while the appliance is in operation using kitchen gloves only (lift the bowls and the lid using the handles). Risk of burns from hot steam!
- Control the state of the cooked dishes.
- The end of the cooking process will be signalled by a sound signal and the indicator light (9) going out.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Remove the bowls from the steamer using handles and kitchen gloves. Remove the food and leave the appliance to cool down. Pour the remaining water out of the container (15) and the drip tray (6) and wash them thoroughly.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance from the mains and wait for it to cool down completely.
- Wash the bowls (1), (2) and (3), the container for loose products (5), the steamer lid (4), the drip tray (6) and the steam generator cover (7) with a mild detergent, then rinse them in water and dry.
- Pour out any water remaining in the water container (15) that has not been used by the steamer. Then wipe the inside of the water container (15) and the steam generator unit (13) dry with a cloth.
CAUTION! Never immerse the steamer base (8) in water or put it under running water. Clean it only with a damp cloth.
- Depending on the intensity of use of the steamer and the hardness of the water used, the water container (15) and the steam generator unit (13) periodically need to be descaled. To do this, fill the water container (15) with an aqueous solution of vinegar or citric acid and switch on the appliance for about 30 minutes. All bowls, tray, steam generator cover should be in place at this time. After 30 minutes, unplug the appliance from the mains, wait for it to cool down and then pour the solution out of the water container. After the descaling process, rinse the water container several times and then dry.
- The appliance should be stored in dry premises and should not be exposed to sunlight. Stack the bowls on top of each other in the order that is opposite to that when the steamer is running. This will allow space to be saved during storage.
- The bowls (1), (2) and (3), the steamer lid (4), the container for loose products (5) and the drip tray (6) are dishwasher safe.
TIPS AND HINTS FOR STEAM COOKING
- Steam cooking may require more time as the process takes place at a lower temperature than standard cooking.
- If you want to prepare food with different cooking times in one process, always place the food requiring the longest cooking time in the lowest bowl as this is where the temperature is highest.
-
It is recommended that the products being prepared are of the same size - this will keep all portions of a given product uniformly cooked.
-
Pour only clean water into the water container. Do not add any spices or salt. Add these to the dishes only after the cooking process is finished.
- The liquid collected in the drip tray can be used successfully when making other dishes (soups or sauces).
- Do not cook frozen meat, seafood, etc. in the steamer. The products must be defrosted before cooking.
