How to install the portable air conditioner?

Place the unit on a level floor near a window. Attach the exhaust hose to the rear outlet (counterclockwise) and connect the other end to the window sealing kit. Adjust the kit to fit your window and secure it with screws or clips. Keep the hose as short and straight as possible for best performance.

How to clean the air filter?

Remove the grille covering the filter, take out the filter, and clean it with lukewarm water (max 40°C) or a neutral detergent. For light dirt, use a vacuum cleaner. Do not use alcohol, gasoline, or benzene. Reinstall the filter only when completely dry.

What does 'FL' on the display mean?

'FL' indicates that the water tank is full. The unit will beep and the compressor will stop. Unplug the unit, remove the drain plug, and drain water into a container. Replace the plug and restart.

How to use the timer function?

Press the Timer button. In standby, use Up/Down to set the auto-on time (0-24h). While running, set the auto-off time. The timer indicator lights up.

How to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit?

Press the Increase and Decrease buttons together simultaneously to toggle between °C and °F on the display.

What is sleep mode?

Sleep mode adjusts the fan to low speed and gradually changes the temperature for comfortable sleeping. It operates silently and can be combined with the timer.

How to drain water from the unit?

When 'FL' appears, unplug the unit. Remove the drain plug from the rear drainage hole, attach a rubber hose, and let water flow into a container. Replace the plug after draining.

The Infiniton portable air conditioner does not require a fixed installation, as it can be moved from one room to another. You plug it in, unplug it and transport it wherever you want.

They have become very fashionable in offices, second homes and increasingly as the main air conditioner in our home. Its advantages are that it does not require installation, its low consumption and, in addition, you can transport it to any room in just seconds. A whole world of advantages!

The Infiniton portable air conditioner is powerful, silent and you can cool spaces of up to 35 m^2 , achieving the programmed temperatures according to your needs.

Get a good night's sleep with sleep mode

During the summer there are nights when it is difficult to fall asleep. Heat, open windows and noise from outside make it more difficult to get a good night's sleep. Infiniton offers you the chance to sleep soundly.

The sleep mode is a great invention, through this mode, the air continues to work, but without making any sound during operation. You will no longer have any problems when studying, reading, watching your favourite series or simply enjoying absolute silence.

You will also be able to sleep soundly as it offers you the possibility of programming the timer to turn it off when you want. That easy!

How many frigories do I need according to the size of my room?

There is a very effective and approximate way to calculate how many frigories you need according to the size of the room in which you are going to place the portable air conditioner:

Multiplying the cubic metres of the room by 50.

To find out how many cubic metres a room has, you have to multiply:

• Its height.
• Its square metres.
  That is to say, a room of 20m^2 by a height of 2.5m is a room of 50m^3 .
  To find out how many frigories this room requires, the maths would be as follows:

To avoid damage, place the unit in an upright position for at least 24 hours before start-up. Make sure that the air outlet and air inlet are never blocked.

Only operate the unit on a horizontal and perfectly level surface to ensure that no water escapes.

WARNINGS BEFORE USE

Do not exceed an impedance level greater than 0.236 ohms in the supply to which the appliance is connected. Failure to comply may lead the supply authority to impose restrictions on the connection. Connection. Consult the power supply authorities if use of the equipment exceeds 0.236 ohms.

  • Take care when storing the product to avoid mechanical failure.
• All repairs should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Maintenance and repairs requiring the assistance of other qualified personnel must be carried out under the supervision of flammable refrigerant specialists.

Workplace checks

Before starting work on installations containing flammable refrigerants, safety checks must be carried out to ensure that the risk of fire is minimised. In the case of refrigeration system repair, the following precautions should be taken before carrying out any work on the installation.

Work procedure

Work should be carried out under a controlled procedure to minimise the risk of flammable gases or vapours being present while the work is being carried out.

Work area

All maintenance personnel and others working in the area must be informed of the nature of the work being carried out. Avoid working in enclosed spaces.

Check for the presence of refrigerant

Before and during work, the area should be checked with a suitable refrigerant detector to ensure that the technician is aware of the existence of potentially toxic or flammable atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detection equipment being used is suitable for use with all applicable refrigerants, i.e. non-sparking, properly sealed or intrinsically safe.

Presence of a fire extinguisher

If any work is to be carried out on the refrigeration equipment or any part thereof, suitable fire extinguishing equipment must be available. Have a dry powder or CO2 fire extinguisher next to the loading area.

There are no sources of ignition

No person performing work in connection with a refrigeration system involving exposure of any piping shall use sources of ignition in such a manner as to cause a fire or explosion. All possible sources of ignition, including cigarette smoking, shall be kept sufficiently far away from the installation, repair, removal and disposal site, during which time refrigerant may be released into the surrounding space. Before work is carried out, the area around the equipment must be inspected to ensure that there are no ignition hazards or ignition risks. No smoking" signs shall be posted.

Ventilated area

Ensure that the area is in the open air or adequately ventilated before accessing the system or performing any hot work. A certain degree of ventilation must be maintained during the work period. Ventilation should safely disperse any refrigerant that is released and preferably expel it outside into the atmosphere.

Checking refrigeration equipment

When electrical components are replaced, they should be fit for purpose and to the correct specification. The manufacturer's maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed at all times. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer's technical department for assistance. The following controls shall apply to installations using flammable refrigerants.

Checks of electrical devices.

Repair and maintenance of electrical components should include initial safety checks and component inspection procedures. If there is a fault that may compromise safety, no electrical supply should be connected to the circuit until it is satisfactorily resolved. If the fault cannot be corrected immediately, but continued operation is necessary, a suitable temporary solution must be used. This shall be communicated to the owner of the equipment so that all parties are informed.

Initial safety checks shall include:

• that capacitors are discharged: this must be done in a safe manner to avoid the possibility of sparking;
• that no electrical components or wiring are exposed while charging, recovering or purging the system;
• That there is continuity of grounding.

Repair of sealed components.

During repairs to sealed components, all electrical supplies should be disconnected from the equipment being worked on before removing sealed covers, etc. If it is absolutely necessary to have power supply to the equipment during repairs, permanent leak detection must be carried out. This should be done at the most critical point to warn of a potentially dangerous situation.

Special attention must be paid to the following to ensure that, when working with electrical components, the enclosure is not altered in such a way as to affect the level of protection. For example, damage to cables, excessive number of connections, terminals not made to the original specification, damage to seals, incorrect mounting of bushings, etc.

Ensure that the product is properly assembled.

Ensure that gaskets or sealing materials have not degraded to the point where they are no longer suitable for preventing the ingress of flammable atmospheres. Spare parts must conform to the manufacturer's specifications.

Repair of intrinsically safe components.

Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitive load to the circuit without ensuring that it will not exceed the permissible voltage and current for the equipment in use.

Intrinsically safe components are the only ones that can be worked on in the presence of a flammable atmosphere. Test apparatus must be in the correct classification.

Replace components only with parts specified by the manufacturer. Other parts may cause ignition of the refrigerant in the atmosphere due to leakage.

Wiring

Check wiring for wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or any other adverse environmental effects. The check should also take into account the effects of ageing or continuous vibration from sources such as compressors or fans.

Detection of flammable refrigerants.

Under no circumstances should potential ignition sources be used when searching for or detecting refrigerant leaks. A halide torch (or any other detector using an open flame) must not be used.

Extraction and evacuation

When entering the refrigerant circuit for repairs, or for any other purpose, conventional procedures should be used. However, in the case of flammable refrigerants it is important that the procedure is the most appropriate, as combustion is a factor to be taken into account. The following procedure should be followed:

1. remove the refrigerant
2. purge the circuit with inert gas
3. evacuate
4. purge with inert gas

Open the circuit by cutting or welding

The refrigerant charge shall be recovered in suitable recovery cylinders. For products containing flammable refrigerants, the system must be purged with oxygen-free nitrogen to make the product safe for flammable refrigerants. This process may need to be repeated several times. Compressed air and oxygen should not be used to purge refrigerant systems.

For products containing flammable refrigerants, refrigerant flushing should be performed by breaking the vacuum in the system with oxygen-free nitrogen and continuing to fill until working pressure is reached, then venting to atmosphere and finally lowering to vacuum. This process must be repeated until there is no refrigerant in the system. When the final charge of oxygen-free nitrogen is used, the system must be vented to atmospheric pressure in order to perform the work. This operation is absolutely vital for brazing operations on piping.

Make sure that the vacuum pump outlet is not close to any possible source of ignition and that ventilation is available.

Charging procedures

In addition to conventional charging procedures, the following requirements must be followed:

Ensure that you do not contaminate yourself with different refrigerants when using the charging equipment. Hoses or lines should be kept as short as possible to minimise the amount of refrigerant they contain.

Cylinders should be kept in the proper position according to the instructions.

Ensure that the refrigeration system is grounded before charging with refrigerant.

Label the equipment when charging is complete (if not already done).

Extreme care must be taken not to overcharge the refrigeration system.

Note: Before refilling the system, the system shall be pressure tested with the appropriate purge gas. The system shall be leak tested at the end of charging but before commissioning. A follow-up leak test shall be carried out before leaving the site.

Disassembly

Before carrying out this procedure, it is essential that the technician has a thorough knowledge of the equipment and all its details. It is recommended as good practice that all refrigerants are safely recovered. Before carrying out the task, a sample of oil and refrigerant should be taken in case an analysis is required before reusing the recovered refrigerant. It is essential that electrical power is available before starting the task.

Familiarise yourself with the equipment and its operation.

Electrically isolate the system.

Before attempting the procedure, ensure that technical equipment is available for handling refrigerant cylinders, if necessary;

Pump out the refrigerant system, if possible.

If vacuum is not possible, make a manifold so that refrigerant can be removed from various parts of the system.

Make sure that the cylinder is placed on the scale before recovery.

Start the recovery machine and operate it according to the instructions.

Do not overfill the cylinders (no more than 80% of the liquid charge volume).

Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.

When the cylinders have been correctly filled and the process has been completed, ensure that the cylinders and equipment are removed from the site promptly and that all isolation valves on the equipment are closed.

Recovered refrigerant should not be charged to another refrigeration system unless it has been cleaned and checked.

Labelling

Equipment shall be labelled indicating that it has been decomposed and drained of refrigerant. The label shall be dated and signed. In the case of equipment containing flammable refrigerants, it shall be ensured that there are labels on the equipment indicating that the equipment contains flammable refrigerant.

Recovery

When refrigerant is removed from a system, either for service or for shutdown, it is recommended as good practice that all refrigerants are disposed of safely.

When transferring refrigerant to cylinders, ensure that only suitable refrigerant recovery cylinders are used. Ensure that the correct number of cylinders are available to maintain the total system charge. All cylinders used are designated for the refrigerant recovered and labelled for that refrigerant (i.e. special refrigerant recovery cylinders). Cylinders must be complete with pressure relief valve and associated shut-off valves in good working order. Empty recovery cylinders are evacuated and, if possible, cooled prior to recovery.

Recovery equipment must be in good working order, with a set of equipment instructions at hand, and must be suitable for the recovery of all appropriate refrigerants, including, where appropriate, flammable refrigerants. In addition, a set of calibrated scales in good working order shall be available. Hoses shall be complete with disconnect couplings free of leaks and in good condition. Before using the recovery machine, check that it is in good working order, that it has been properly maintained and that all associated electrical components are sealed to prevent ignition in the event of refrigerant discharge.

Consult the manufacturer if in doubt. Recovered refrigerant shall be returned to the refrigerant supplier at the correct recovery site.

Tips to place your Infiniton portable air conditioner

Use more frigories than theoretically necessary

Normally, when it comes to split type devices, we usually recommend equipment capable of providing between 100 and 140 frigories per square metre to be covered. In the case of a portable device, we can recommend a little more than 140 frigories per square metre without fear of overdoing it.

So, for a room of about 20 square metres where 2,000 or 2,500 frigories would normally be sufficient, we should opt for a model that achieves at least 3,000 frigories if we want equivalent performance.

Make sure it is on a well levelled floor and on a carpet.

Noise is one of the main drawbacks of portable air conditioners and one way to help reduce the noise they produce is to place it on a carpet or insulating surface. This way, every time the compressor starts, unwanted vibrations are not transmitted directly to the floor, but are partially dampened.

Whenever possible, try to avoid placing the unit right in the corners of a room, as this position will excite low-frequency standing waves that will further increase the noise of the appliance. It should also be well shimmed so that it does not vibrate constantly.

Keep the air outlet pipe as short as possible.

One of the main reasons for the ineffectiveness of this type of air conditioner is the ducting responsible for removing the hot air from the room. They are usually made of uninsulated plastic and dissipate part of the heat in the room, heating the room to be cooled.

They are usually retractable tubes with some flexibility for easy fitting in any type of window, but as far as possible we should try to use the shortest possible tube lengths to minimise the heat radiation surface in the room.

In addition, corners should be minimised, because every corner is an obstacle to the air outlet, which will reduce the performance of the equipment.

Don't install in front of a door or window

Since air must be continuously drawn out of the room to the street, a pressure difference occurs, which creates an airflow that flows from the room or surrounding corridors. To prevent these draughts from bringing air in from outside or into another warm room, try not to place the air directly against a poorly insulated door (which homes often do not have) or uninsulated windows. If we do this, it is easy to check how warm air is coming in from outside by outside by reaching into the cracks of poorly insulated doors and windows, which will prevent us from reaching the desired temperature faster and keeping the compressor running, which means more noise.

Install window sealing kit and corrugated air exhaust pipe.

Place the portable air conditioner on the floor horizontally and well leveled near the window.

Step 3:

Turn the exhaust pipe assembly (exhaust fitting end) into the rear panel outlet (counterclockwise).

Make sure that the parts fit snugly.

Do not force the connections, as this may damage parts of the unit and the corrugated pipe.

Any damage caused by improper pipe connection is exempt from warranty.

Step 4:

Insert the exhaust pipe assembly (exhaust port end) into the window seal panel assembly and secure with either a screw or clip.

The corrugated tube can be stretched up to 1500mm. To avoid bending it, make it as short as possible.

Prevent the duct from bending sharply, ensuring that air can flow smoothly through the duct. This duct is designed solely and exclusively for this model, please do not replace it with a non-Infiniton duct.

• Read this user manual carefully before use.
• Never touch the product with wet hands.
• Use extreme caution when children are near the product.
• Use this product only for its intended use.
• Do not immerse the product, power cord or plug in water or other liquids.

- Do not leave the product unattended when in use.

• Always unplug the power cord from the outlet when the product is not in use or before cleaning.

- Do not use the product when it is damaged and/or its power cord or plug is damaged; have it repaired by an authorized service agent.

- Do not use the product outdoors.

- Never leave the power cord hanging over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.

- The portable air conditioner is designed for indoor use.

• The rated operating parameters require the product to be powered with a 220-240 V / 50 Hz mains supply.
• Install the portable air conditioner in accordance with the requirements of the local power company or grid operator to ensure a safe and effective protective earth connection. • The product is not designed to be operated by an external timer or separate remote control system.

• Always switch off the product before unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.

- Do not attempt to open, disassemble or modify the air conditioner without authorization; otherwise, the product may fail or cause injury and/or damage. If the air conditioner fails or malfunctions, have it repaired by the manufacturer or a qualified professional.

Press the button to turn on/off the portable air conditioner.

Button for fan speed control

Press the button to select the fan speed. Each press will increase the speed, which will be indicated on the display and the fan speed indicators will light up: Fan on the left and High / Low on the right. and High / Low on the right hand side..

Increase / Decrease buttons for temperature and for timer

In Cool Air mode, press the keys to increase or decrease the temperature.

Pressing the keys together will toggle between ^ C and ^ F.

Press the key to choose between the different modes offered by the portable air conditioner:

Cooling (Cool):

The temperature setting ranges from 16^ C to 30^ C. Combine this mode with the fan button to regulate the fan speed, thus achieving a high or low airflow according to your needs.

Fan:

Press this button to regulate the fan speed. When only this mode is selected, the temperature cannot be adjusted.

Dehumidifier (Dry):

The Dehumidifier (Dry) indicator will light up in this mode.

- Remove the plug from any of the drain holes on the rear of the portable air, insert one end of the hose into one of the drain holes, and the other end into a water tank or water channel.

- If the ambient temperature is ≥ 17^ the compressor starts and follows the following sequence: if the ambient temperature is ≤ 15^ the compressor stops, when it reaches ≥ 17^ , the compressor starts again.

There may be a delay of 3 minutes at start-up.

- The fan runs at a fixed low speed.

- The temperature is fixed.

Very Important: When using this mode, disassemble the air outlet duct, as the performance may be affected and the alarm indicating that the water tank is full "FL" may sound.

Sleep:

The sleep mode is designed to make sleeping conditions much more pleasant, without the need to adjust the unit while you are resting, ensuring the best sleeping conditions.

E Timer

In standby mode, press the timer button to set the power-on time. A range of 0 to 24 hours can be set with the Up/Down keys. The timer indicator will illuminate in this mode.

Install the battery correctly before using the remote control.

The specific steps are as follows:

Slide open the battery cover on the back.

Insert 2 new AAA batteries (DC 1.5V) and install the electrodes correctly.

Place the batteries in their proper place.

Important notes:

Only 1.5V DC AAA batteries are allowed, never use rechargeable or other types of batteries.

Replace both batteries; never mix a new battery with an old one.

Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for a long time.

Never use damaged or leaking batteries.

Chemicals in batteries can cause health hazards such as burns. If battery fluid splashes on skin or clothing, wash it off with clean water immediately. If batteries are swallowed, rinse mouth immediately with clean water and then seek medical attention.

E4	Antifreeze protection: the coil temperature is too low and all air conditioning is switched off. When the temperature exceeds 8°C, the protection is released and the previous working state is restored.

General cleaning

Draining

The air conditioner will show "FL" on the display, accompanied by a beep when the water tank is full. Once the compressor stops, drain the water as follows:

1. Unplug the portable air conditioner and unscrew the hose from the air outlet of the unit.
2. Move the air conditioner to a clear place.
3. Remove the plug from the drain hole and using a rubber hose, drain all the water into a container.
4. Replace the plug back into the drain hole.
5. Reinstall the air outlet hose and put the air conditioner back in place.

Cleaning the filters

The filter should be cleaned once every two weeks. If the indoor air quality is poor, it must be washed more frequently or the performance of the appliance will be reduced because the filters may be clogged.
