Before switching on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct operation, do not use it if:
- It has fallen on the ground;
- You notice any evidence of damage;

1.1. Power Supply
Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance's. If this is not the case, please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.
Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.
Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).
1.4. Cleaning
Before cleaning, be sure to switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the main power supply.
Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.

- To protect the scale's service life do not keep it in a damp and hot environment.
- Remove the batteries from the scale if they are not to be used for a long period of time.
- If the scale does not start when you switch it on, check the batteries and make sure they are fitted in the right direction.
- If the scale has been in use for a very long time, check to see if the batteries need to be changed and then try to switch it on again.
- This scale is intended only for domestic use and should never be used commercially.
- Do not store the scale in an upright position, but in a horizontal one.

2. USE AND OPERATION
2.1. Product Description

Switching Off
The scale will switch off when "TARE" is pressed for 2 seconds.
The scale will automatically switch off after approximately 60 seconds of inactivity.
Changes in Units of Measurement (g/oz/ml/cup)
Press "MODE" once changes the unit of measurement from g/oz/ml (water)/cup (water)/ml (milk)/cup (milk).

MI/Cup Measurement
Put a container on the scale and press "TARE" to clear the weight of container.
Then, put water or milk into it, press "MODE" until "ml" or "cup" are displayed to check the volume.
2.2. Using the Product
Weighing
Step 1: Place the scales on a hard, flat surface.
Step 2: Press "TARE" once. The LCD display will show "zero".
Step 3: Put the Items on the scale, the weight will be displayed.

Tare Function
Step 1: Put the container on the scale. The LCD display will show the weight of the container.
Step 2: Press "TARE" to clear the weight of the container (reset to zero). Then put items into the container. The LCD display will show the weight of the items only. Press "TARE" several times to weigh different items.
Step 3: The LCD display will show a negative amount for the container if you remove the items and the container from the scales together. Press "TARE" again and the display will show "zero" after 2 seconds.

Inserting the Batteries

- Open the battery cover.
- Place 4 × 1.5 V AAA batteries as shown.
• After placing the batteries, put the battery cover back on. - Please be aware that placing the batteries in the wrong direction will permanently damage the electronics.
