Safety
General requirements for household electrical appliances
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Never let children play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children without adult supervision.
Particular requirements for room heaters
- Never use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers or swimming pools.
- The appliance must never be placed directly beneath a wall socket.
- The appliance must not be controlled by any programmer, timer, remote control or any form of automatic control due to the risk of fire if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.
- The appliance has no thermostat to regulate the room temperature. Do not use this appliance in small spaces/rooms if occupied by persons who are not capable of leaving the room on their own.
- Do not place the appliance where there is a risk of it igniting curtains or similar combustible material.
- Appliances designed to be installed in a high location should be mounted at least 1.8 m above the floor.
- Children 3 years and younger should be kept away from the appliance unless continuously supervised.
- Children aged from 3 to 8 years can switch the appliance on/off provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 to 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform maintenance.
- Caution! This appliance can become very hot during use and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given to children and vulnerable people who are near the appliance.
Safety instructions
⚠ Warning: Dangerous voltage
- Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself.
- Do not use the appliance if the mains lead is damaged. Repairs must only be carried out by authorised service personnel and only using genuine spare parts.
- Never lower the appliance into water or other liquids.
- Never touch the control panel or plug with wet hands.
- Never use the appliance in the rain or in wet conditions.
⚠ Warning
- The appliance becomes hot during use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch the hot surface of the appliance. Never move the appliance while it is in use or before it has cooled.
- Fire hazard. Flammable materials such as furniture, paper, clothing and curtains must be at least 1 m from the heater in every direction.
- Do not place towels or other fabrics on the appliance.
- Do not obstruct or block the ventilation openings as this may cause electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.
- The appliance must never be used near flammable gases or liquids.
- The appliance should be used only as described in this manual. Using the appliance for other than its intended use may lead to fire, electric shock, other types of personal injuries or material damage.
- Do not use this appliance to ignite materials.
- The appliance must only be plugged into to an earthed 230 V, 50 Hz power outlet. Never connect the appliance to the electricity mains using an extension lead.
△ Important
• Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket when it is not in use.
- Never cover the mains lead with rugs or carpets. Place the mains lead where there is no risk of people tripping over it.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply by unplugging it from the wall socket. Make sure that the wall socket and plug are easily accessible.
- The appliance must not be connected to the mains during installation or service.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Only operate the appliance for warming purposes in well-ventilated areas.

Installation
- Hook the chain (2) onto hook A (7) and hook B (8) as shown in the picture.
- Fasten one of the hooks to a hook on your ceiling. ⚠ Warning: The ceiling hook must be strong enough to support four times the weight of the infrared heater, i.e. 6.5 kg.
- Hang the infrared heater up by the lower hook.
- If needed the length of the chain can be shortened by hooking another link of the chain over the upper hook. △ Important: The distance from the floor to the lowest part of the infrared heater must be at least 1.8 m.
Instructions for use
- Connect the plug to an easily accessible earthed wall socket.
- Pull the cord of the pull switch (1) to turn on the low heat setting (600 W).
- Pull the cord once more to switch the heater to the high heat setting (1500 W).
- Pull the cord a third time to switch the heater off.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
Care and maintenance
- Switch the heater off, unplug it from the power outlet socket and let it cool.
- Clean the appliance using a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
- The appliance should be stored indoors when it is not in use.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this appliance should not be disposed of with general household waste. This applies throughout the entire EU. In order to prevent any harm to the environment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal, the appliance must be handed in for recycling so that the material can be disposed of in a responsible manner. When recycling the appliance, take it to your local collection facility or contact the place of purchase. They will ensure that the appliance is disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
