CONSTRUCTION AND USE

Electric screwdriver is a hand-operated power tool with insulation class II. It is driven by single-phase commutator motor with rotational speed reduced with gear transmission. Power tools of this type are widely used for screwing and unscrewing screws, making holes in wood and wood-like materials. Range of use covers repair and building works, woodworking and any work from the scope of individual, amateur activities (tinkering). Screwdriver can be used with various sockets, driver bits of various lengths with hexagonal 1/4" shanks. Although the tool is designed mainly as a screwdriver, it can also be used with drills with hexagonal 1/4" shanks for light-duty drilling tasks (e.g. making pilot holes).

LEFT - RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION

Graphite 58G791 - LEFT - RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION - 1

Choose direction of the screwdriver spindle rotation with the direction selector switch (6) (fig. B).

Right rotation - move the switch (6) to the extreme right position. Left rotation - move the switch (6) to the extreme left position.

* The possibility is reserved that in certain cases position of the switch relating to rotation direction may be different than specified. Please refer to graphic signs placed on the switch or tool body.

Graphite 58G791 - LEFT - RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION - 2

Graphite 58G791 - LEFT - RIGHT DIRECTION OF ROTATION - 3

SCREWING DEPTH CONTROL

With control ring (2) you can set up the depth of the screw head sinking into material.

- Set required screwing depth by turning the control ring (2) (fig. C).

  • turning clockwise – increases the screwing depth
  • turning counter-clockwise – decreases the screwing depth.

Graphite 58G791 - SCREWING DEPTH CONTROL - 1

It is best to set correct screwing depth by test screwing in waste material. Screw is held by universal magnetic holder. Press the screw tip against material it is to be screwed into until the depth limiter reaches the material, and the screwing tip disconnects. To unscrew screws set the switch lever (6) to the extreme left position.

SCREWDRIVER BODY HOOK

Graphite 58G791 - SCREWDRIVER BODY HOOK - 1

Screwdriver body hook (3) is very useful when working, during breaks it allows to hang the screwdriver e.g. on a tool belt.
