Frequently Asked Questions - Vanilla XS ICMT-700SI WILFA

How do I start making ice with the Vanilla XS ICMT-700SI?
Fill the water tank up to the MAX line, plug in the unit, and press the ON button. The indicator light will turn on, and ice production will begin automatically. The first batch may take up to 15 minutes.
What type of water should I use for the ice maker?
Use fresh, cold tap water or filtered water. Avoid distilled or hot water as it may affect ice quality and production speed.
How do I clean the ice maker?
Run the self-cleaning cycle using a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:3 ratio) every few weeks. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
Why is my ice maker not producing ice?
Check if the water tank is empty, the unit is level, and the room temperature is between 10-35°C. Also ensure the drain plug is properly closed and the ice basket is not full.
How long does it take to make ice?
Each cycle takes approximately 10-15 minutes, producing 9-12 ice bullets. The first batch may take slightly longer.
Can I store the ice maker on its side?
No. After moving or transporting, let the ice maker stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
What does the 'Add Water' indicator mean?
It means the water tank is low or empty. Refill with fresh water to the MAX level to resume ice production.
How do I prevent ice from sticking together?
Use fresh water and ensure the ice basket is not overloaded. Ice should be transferred to a freezer bag if not used immediately.
Is the ice maker safe to leave on overnight?
Yes, it is designed for continuous operation. It will automatically shut off when the ice basket is full or water level is low.
What should I do if the unit shows error codes?
Refer to the user manual. Common codes: E1 (water sensor issue), E2 (ice full sensor issue). Try unplugging for 5 minutes then restart. If persists, contact Wilfa support.
