1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use, and save it for future use.
2. Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 220-240V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
6. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.

1. The appliance should not be immersed in water or other liquids. Never use the appliance with wet hands and never place the appliance at a wet or damp surface.

3. The appliance is protected against superheating caused by e.g. a covered or blocked air intake. If the appliance stops when in use, switch off the appliance to let it cool off before it is switched on again.

Use

A hot air styler can be used to style, curl and add volume to both dry and slightly damp hair. The brushes are heated with hot air (the styling brush also has a heating element), which creates a longer-lasting style in an effective, gentle way. Make sure that the hot parts of the brushes do not come into contact with the scalp, face, neck or hands.

Do not use the styling brush on wigs or artificial hair without first testing a small section, as there is a risk that the wig/artificial hair will melt.

Settings

The hot air styler has the following settings:

0 = off

1 = low speed/low temperature

2 = high speed/high temperature

C = cold mode (the styling brush's element switches off)

Attaching and removing the brushes

Wait until the brush has cooled down. To remove a brush from the styling tool, turn the brush anticlockwise until the arrow marking on the brush points to the corresponding arrow on the handle. Attach the brush by fitting it into the opening with the arrows lined up and turning it clockwise until the arrow marking on the brush points towards the locked padlock symbol on the handle.

Use with a hot air styler

If you want to dry your hair and create volume, select the hot air styler. The long bristles add body and are perfect for both long and short hair. Plug the appliance in. Select the speed/temperature setting (1, 2 or C) using the switch on the handle.

Brush through the hair with the brush repeatedly until the hair is dry. To create extra volume, brush your hair a section at a time from below from the scalp out towards the ends of the hair. You can also style your hair by turning the brush while drawing it through the hair.

Use with a styling brush

This brush is used to style your hair and creates long-lasting curls and volume. Plug the appliance in. Select the speed/temperature setting (1, 2 or C) using the switch on the handle. This brush has a PTC element.

Take a section of hair and draw the brush down towards the ends, roll up the hair around the brush and hold the brush for a few seconds. Gently unwind the hair from the brush and shape the curls with your fingers. If you want slightly softer curls, draw the brush slowly through the hair and down towards the ends of the hair while rotating the brush.

Cool function

It is best to use the cool function (marked "C") before you unwind your hair from the brush. This cools the hair and provides longer-lasting curls.

Keratin and tourmaline

The bristles are infused with keratin and tourmaline for gentle, caring styling and to reduce static electricity.

Overheating

The appliance has overheat protection that can be triggered if, for instance, the air intake or outlet is blocked. The appliance automatically switches off if it overheats. If this happens, turn off the appliance at the power switch and let it cool down. The appliance will be ready to use again once it has fully cooled down.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Unplug before cleaning and wait until the brush has cooled down.
• Remove any loose hairs from the brushes.
• Clean the air intake at regular intervals. The air intake can be vacuumed clean when the hot air styler is turned off and the plug is unplugged.
• Wipe the exterior of the appliance clean with a damp cloth and then dry fully.
• The appliance and plug must not be immersed in water or other liquids and must not come into direct contact with water.
• The cord must not be wrapped around the appliance.
• Keep the appliance in a safe, dry location out of the reach of children after use.

Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

This manufacturer's commercial guarantee covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. At OBH Nordicas choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. OBH Nordicas sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.

Conditions & Exclusions

OBH Nordica shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. The defective product may be returned to the store of purchase.

This guarantee applies only for products purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow OBH Nordica instructions, or a modification or unauthorised repair of the product, faulty packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the following:

• using the wrong type of water or consumable
• mechanical damages, overloading
• damages or poor results specifically due to wrong voltage or frequency as stamped on the product ID or specification
• ingress of water, dust or insects into the product
• scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use)
• damage as a result of lightning or power surges
• damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
• accidents including fire, flood, etc
• professional or commercial use

Consumer Statutory Rights

OBH Nordica's commercial guarantee does not affect the Statutory Rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.
