- Plug the appliance to a household outlet of 230V only, and use the appliance only for the intended use.
- Always unplug the appliance from the mains supply when not in use.
- The appliance must not be immersed into water or other liquids.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety and they understand the hazards involved.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are over the age of 8 and supervised.
- The appliance should only be used under supervision.
- Check that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
-
When in use, the oven door, the outer surfaces and the oven window can get hot. Do not touch these parts. Open the door only by using the handle.
-
Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or his service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.
- The appliance is for domestic use only.
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or it is not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.
Before use
Before using the microwave oven for the first time, remove all packaging material and wipe the oven both on the inner og and the outer faces with a damp cloth (please note that the insulation plate (mica plate) in the compartment shall NOT be removed). Check the oven for any visible damages and make sure that the door closes completely and that it shows no sign of any damage and that there is no leakage in the oven cavity.
The microwave oven must be placed freely on a stable and flat surface, minimum 85 cm above floor, leaving a space of at least 20 cm at each side, minimum 10 cm at the back and 30 cm on the top of the microwave oven.
General safety instructions
- WARNING: If the door or the door sealing has been damaged, do not operate the oven until repair has been made by a qualified person.
- WARNING: It is hazardous for anyone other than a trained person to carry out any service or repair operation, which involves the removal of any cover that gives protection against exposure to microwave energy.
-
Never use the oven for other purposes than the preparation of food and not for e.g. drying of cloth, paper or other non-food products or for sterilizing objects.
-
Do not operate the oven when empty, as this may cause damage to the oven.
- Do not use the cavity for storage of e.g. paper, cookery books or similar.
- Do not use the oven for pickling. Microwave ovens are not designed for pickling. Raw materials that have not been properly pickled may rot and affect your health.
- Do not prepare or heat whole eggs or hard-boiled eggs as they may explode even after the termination of the microwave heating.
- Food covered by a heavy skin such as yolks, tomatoes, apples, potatoes etc. should be pierced before cooking in order to avoid damp from being accumulated inside, which may bring them to explosion.
- Do not cover the air vents and do not insert any object in the openings of the outer cabinet.
- Never try to remove parts from the microwave oven, such as feet, screws, couplings etc. or to remove the mica plate, which protects against the exposure of microwave radiation.
- Never prepare food directly on the rotary dish. Put the food on kitchen utensils adapted for microwave ovens.
Important!
Always cover the food with Clingfilm (pierce a number of holes in the film) or a lid (leave the lid loose over the food). Remains in the cavity may ignite and in the worst case cause fire in the microwave oven.
- Only use utensils and tools that are suitable for use in a microwave.
- Keep an eye on the oven when food is being heated in a plastic or paper container since there may be a risk of ignition.
- If smoke is emitted, switch off the appliance or pull out the pin plug and keep the oven door closed to extinguish any flames.
Never use
- Utensils containing metal, such as metal edges, metal-containing enamel/decorations, screws or ornaments of metal.
- Bag fasteners of paper with internal metal wire.
- Melamine bowls (e.g. Rosti bowls, Margrethe bowls).
- In order to avoid sparks that may damage the oven, never use aluminium or metal containers.
- The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars shall be stirred or shaken and the temperature should be checked before serving in order to avoid burns.
- After preparation, the prepared food should always be kept for 30 to 60 seconds in the oven to enable the heat to spread and to avoid the food to "bubble" or boil over when a spoon or another utensil is put in the food.
- Microwave heating of beverages may cause delayed boiling; consequently, the container shall be handled with care.
- WARNING: Liquids and other foodstuffs must not be heated in closed containers due to the risk of explosion.
- Always follow the recipes and remember that some foodstuffs heat very quickly. You should also notice that foodstuffs with high contents of sugar should not be heated/prepared in plastic containers.
- Kitchen utensils can become very warm because of the heat supply from the foodstuffs. This is in particular the case when such utensils are covered by microwave film or a lid. We therefore recommend to always using oven gloves when taking the food out of the microwave oven.
Any damage caused by the above and similar incorrect use, is not covered by the warranty.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the oven at regular intervals and remove any leftovers. If the oven is not kept clean, the surfaces may deteriorate and the lifetime of the appliance may be considerably shortened and there is a risk of a dangerous situation occurring. Before cleaning the oven, switch it off and unplug it. Never use aggressive detergents, solvents, oven cleaners or similar. Such products may damage the inner and outer surfaces.
The following parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth, possibly with a mild washing-up liquid:
• External surfaces and the control panel
- The rotating foot and the bottom of the oven
- Oven door and adjacent parts
• The rotary tray is dishwasher proof
If steam occurs in or around the oven door, wipe the door with a damp cloth.
Steam may occur in use and this is not due to malfunction. Remove odours by placing a bowl with water with lemon juice and peel in the microwave oven. Put the microwave function at top efficiency and set the timer at 5 minutes. Wipe with a damp cloth.
When cleaning, please pay special attention to the following:
- Avoid water from penetrating into the air vents and make sure that the control panel does not get wet.
- Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
- Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the oven.
• Take care that the rotary foot is correctly placed after cleaning. - It is particularly important that the door and the adjacent parts are kept clean.
- The insulating plate (Mica-plate) in the compartment shall be kept clean with a damp cloth. If the plate is very greasy or dark, it should be replaced. It may catch fire if greasy.

How to use the microwave oven
Place the food in suitable dishes or in suitable containers.
Turn the POWER dial and choose the desired setting. Choose the accurate cooking time by turning the TIME dial.
The microwave oven will activate the programme as soon as the timer has been set. When setting the timer to less than 2 minutes, first turn the dial past the 2 min. marker. Subsequently, turn the dial back to the desired setting.
Always turn the timer dial back to position 0 if the food is taken out before the set time has elapsed, or if the microwave oven is not in use.
Stop the microwave oven by opening the door. The microwave oven will stop automatically because of the automatic safety lock. If you do not wish to make use of the remaining time, set the timer dial back to position 0 before closing the door.
Before you call service
If the microwave oven is not working at all, please check the following before you call service:
• That the plug is properly connected to the power socket.
• That the oven door is closed correctly.
• That the cooking time is set correctly.
• That the mains fuse and the power socket function properly.
- Wait for 10 minutes and try once more. If the microwave oven starts now, the superheating protective device has been activated. Check if the microwave oven is placed correctly with sufficient space for ventilation. E.g. was the microwave oven empty when activated?
If none of the above is the case, contact the store where you bought the microwave oven.
Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Advice on microwave cooking
With the microwave oven you have the opportunity to cook exciting food and dishes quickly and easily. In the following, we have gathered a number of different recipes for dishes which can be tried out while getting familiar with the oven and all its options and features.
All the cooking times in our recipes, which are based on 800 Watts, are approximate. They depend on various circumstances such as:
The thickness of the bowls
The quality of the vegetables, including seasonal differences
The freshness of the foods
Fresh or frozen foods
The thickness of meat or fish
Additionally we refer to the conversion table on the last page of the manual which can be used for recipes intended for microwave ovens with lower or higher effect.
When cooking in the microwave oven, it is always a good idea to check the food during cooking. It is also recommended that you start with a shorter cooking time than the recipes say in order to prevent the food from overcooking. It is perfectly safe to open the oven door during cooking – the oven stops automatically when the oven door is opened, and restarts easily – read more about this in the instruction manual. It is generally recommended that you try your way.
When defrosting it is a good idea to allow the meat to rest after defrosting. It is additionally recommended that the meat is turned over when half the defrosting time has elapsed.
The size of the bowls which are used with the microwave oven should match the amount of food. I.e. do not use too large bowls but use bowls with tall sides, e.g. soufflé trays.
Vegetables must be of uniform size. If some vegetables are considerably larger than others, the cooking time for these vegetables must be expected to be a little longer.
If the microwave oven has a grill function, and the grill function is used to brown food surfaces, a longer grill time than in a conventional oven must be expected. The reason for this is that the grill area in the microwave oven is smaller than in a conventional oven.
Always remember to use kettle holders when the bowls are taken out of the oven as the heat from the foods quickly distributes into bowls and dishes, potentially turning them very hot.
Always use a lid or microwave wrap during cooking.
You achieve the best results if the dish is allowed to rest for up to 5 minutes after cooking in the microwave oven. This allows for the heat to distribute uniformly inside the foods.
