Introduction

using the device for the first time, take time to familiarise yourself with the product first. Read the following assembly instructions and safety instructions carefully. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated field of application. Keep instructions in a safe place. Submit all documents to a third party if distributing the product.
Proper use
The product is intended for use as sun protection in an outdoor domestic environment. The product is not intended for commercial use.

General safety instructions
KEEP ALL THE SAFETY ADVICE AND INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE!
WARNING! DANGER OF DEATH AND ACCIDENTS FOR TODDLERS
AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. Always keep children away from the packaging material.
⚠️ CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Ensure that all parts are undamaged and have been assembled appropriately. Risk of injury exists if assembled incorrectly. Damaged parts can affect safety and function.
⚠ CAUTION! Do not leave children unattended. The product is not a climbing frame or toy. Make sure that nobody, in particular children, climbs on the product. The product could tip over resulting in injury or damage.
CAUTION! DANGER OF TIPPING OvER!
Always ensure the firm footing and good balance of the product. Insert the parasol into a suitable parasol base. Use a parasol stand that is suitable for the size of your parasol. The bottom pole 5 must penetrate at least 40 cm into the parasol base. Non-observance of this advice could cause the parasol to overturn, resulting in injury and /or damage. A parasol base is not included.
■ Ensure that the parasol is standing on a solid, level surface and cannot roll away, resulting in injury or damage.
- Check that the product is stable before using it.
Close the parasol in strong winds or approaching squalls / gusts of wind. Secure the parasol with an
additional protective sleeve or band to prevent it opening unintentionally.
■ Never leave the open parasol unattended. Sudden gusts of wind could cause damage.
- Close the product in windy weather, snow or rain and pull a protective sleeve over it, if necessary.
- Do not hang any objects (e.g. clothing) from the product.
When opening the parasol, ensure that the parasol top 1 is firmly fixed in the open position and the runner 2 is properly engaged. Unless this is done, it is not safe to use the parasol.
CAUTION! The parasol protects your skin from direct UV radiation but not from reflected UV radiation. Therefore you must also use skin-applied sun protection.
⚠️ CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Before opening or closing the product ensure that no person is within the opening or closing zone.
⚠️ CAUTION! DANGER OF SHEARING OR CRUSHING INJURY! Make sure you do not trap your fingers when opening or closing the product. A moment of inattention may result in a shearing or crushing injury.
■ Never use the product as protection against bad weather.
CAUTION! DANGER OF PINCHING
INJURY! Body parts could become pinched at all the articulating joints of the parasol top frame. Be aware of these danger points when opening or closing the product.

CAUTION! DANGER OF FIRE!
Do not operate an open flame device (e.g. garden oven or grill)
under or close to the product.
Assembly
● Assembling / disassembling the parasol (see Fig. A)
Note: For assembly you will need a working space at least 3 m in diameter.
Note: If possible have a second person help you with the assembly.
Follow these steps:
- Unpack the parasol carefully.
- Insert the top pole 3 into the bottom pole 5.
Note: Ensure that the end of the top pole 3 penetrates at least 10 cm into the bottom pole 5. - Turn the locking knob 4 clockwise to fix the top pole 3 in place.
- Place the parasol in a suitable parasol stand (not contained in delivery).
Note: Always comply with the safety and operating instructions of the manufacturer.
Note: Use a parasol stand that is suitable for the size of your parasol. The bottom pole 5 must penetrate at least 40 cm into the parasol base. Non-observance of this advice could cause the parasol to overturn, resulting in injury and /or damage. A parasol base is not included.
- When disassembling the parasol, follow the instructions in reversed order.
- Opening / tilting the parasol
- Open the parasol by sliding the runner upwards until you hear it engage.
Press the tilt button and tilt the parasol carefully to the side to suit the direction of the sunshine (see Fig. B).
- Closing the parasol
Press the tilt button to bring the parasol once more into the upright position (see Fig. B).
Press the unlocking button on the runner and close the parasol.
● Cleaning and storage
- Clean the product using a slightly moist, fluff-free cloth. For more stubborn dirt you may also apply a weak soap solution to the cloth.
Do not use chemical cleaners, scouring agents or sharp objects for cleaning the device, otherwise the product could be damaged.
■ Store the product in a cool, dry place over the winter.
■ Removable cover suitable for hand washing (See fig. C-E)
- Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
Warranty
The device has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this device show any fault in materials or manufacture within three years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or improperly used or maintained.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
