Placing the product

■ The product must not be placed directly below a power supply.
■ Always use the product on a flat, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.

Operation

■ The product shall only be used with the supplied base.

- Do not overfill the product. If the product is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. Do not operate the product without water. The fill level of the product must be between the MIN and MAX marks on the water gauge.

Cleaning and storage

■ The product shall not be exposed to any dripping or splashing water.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning and when not in use. - Refer to the “Cleaning and care” section for instructions on how to clean the product.

Before first use

- Remove all the packaging materials. - Clean the product (see "Cleaning and care").

- Boil the maximum water volume of 1.7 litres (see „Operation“). After boiling, discard the water to remove any production and transport residues.

Operation

CAUTION! Burn hazard! The lid 12 must remain closed when pouring hot water. Otherwise, hot water or steam could escape over the rim causing burns.

- Placing the product

• Keep the power cord 8 as short as possible. Wrap the excess power cord onto the cord storage 6 (bottom of the base 5).
  ■ Guide the power cord 8 through the power cord guide 7.
  Place the base 5 on an even, stable surface. Maintain a safe distance to walls and cupboards to avoid damages caused by rising steam.

Boiling water

• Open the lid 12: Press the lid release button 11.
  ■ Fill the water kettle 3 with cool, clear water.

NOTE: Fill in water at least until the MIN marking and do not exceed the MAX marking.

Place the water kettle 3 onto the base 5.
- Press down the on/off switch 9. The water is boiled now.
The product automatically turns off when the water is boiled.
Pour out the boiled water through the spout 2.

● Cleaning and care

WARNING! The product shall not be immersed in water or other liquids. Do not hold the product under running water.

■ Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
- Check the product prior to each use for visible signs of damage.

Cleaning

• Do not use any abrasive, aggressive cleaners or hard brushes to clean the product.
• Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth. Use a mild detergent, if necessary.
  ■ Rub all parts dry with a clean cloth.

Care

Cleaning the strainer

Open the lid 12.
■ Press the strainer 1 down and inwards.
Pull the strainer 1 off upwards from the water kettle 3.
- Clean the strainer 1 with a moist dishcloth under running water.
Place the strainer 1 into its intended recess in the water kettle 3 and press it down and outwards.
■ Release the downward pressure so that the strainer 1 locks in place at the top inside the recess.

Removing calcifications

Limescale reduces the efficiency of the product and increases energy consumption. Check the product regularly for limescale deposits.

Fill the water kettle 3 with a vinegar solution (5 to 15%).
■ Press down the on/off switch 9. Wait for the product to turn off automatically.
- Let the solution remain in the water kettle 3 overnight. Discard the solution on the next day.
Fill the water kettle 3 with clear water up to the MAX marking on the water gauge 4. Boil the water.

■ After boiling, discard the water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.

- Rinse the water kettle's 3 interior thoroughly with tap water.

Storage

• Store the product when it is not in use in its original packaging.
  ■ Store the product at a dry location out of the reach of children.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.

Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
