III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CONTROLS
Remove any packaging material from the appliance, including filter packaging, etc. After switching the purifier into standby mode, plug the power cable A7 in electrical socket. An acoustic signal will sound, and B1 button backlight will turn red.
ON/OFF button B1 – by pressing the button, the purifier will switch on in the basic filtration mode (without ionization, speed 1). You will hear a signal sound, the background colour of the buttons B1 and B3 will change to white and the signal light B6 will turn green (depending on the air condition). When you press the button again, the settings will be cleared and the purifier will switch back to the standby mode.
Auto mode button B2 – the AUTO mode identifies the quality of air in the room and adjusts the filtration (fan) speed accordingly. When you press the button, the mode will be activated, when you press the button again, it will switch off and the fan output will switch to manual control at the lowest speed.
Fan speed button B3 – by pressing the button, you change the fan speed at 4 levels of intensity. Each backlit field of the fan blade represents the given speed (1 the lowest speed, 4 the highest speed).
SLEEP button B4 – when you press the button, the purifier will be activated in the lowest speed mode and the backlight of all indicators will be off - just this button will remain faintly backlit. This feature is suitable for minimum disruption when sleeping.
Timer button B7 – by pressing the button, delayed shut-off in 2, 4 or 8 hours will be activated. After this time, the purifier will turn off automatically and switch to the standby mode. When you press the button repeatedly, you set: 2 hours - 4 hours - 8 hours - feature OFF ...
Child safety lock B8 – To activate and deactivate the lock of the button control, keep the button B8 pressed (for 3 seconds).p
Ionization button B9 – when you press the button, the ionizer will be activated and start ionizing the air passing through. When you press the button again, the feature will switch off.
When the feature is activated, the relevant button is backlit and a signal sound is heard.
AIR CONDITION INDICATION
Air condition signal B6 visually shows the level of pollution by means of three colours. Red indicates high pollution, orange indicates increased pollution and green indicates low or zero pollution.
The pollution sensor is able to calculate the number of dust particles PM2.5 – i.e. particles smaller than 2,5 m (units: g/m ^3 ). The TVOC value represents the concentration of volatile organic compounds (odour in units PPM). The measured values are alternately shown on the display B5.
REMOTE CONTROL
The purifier can also be operated using the remote control C. Insert/replace the CR2025-type battery as indicated in Fig. 3. The button feature is identical with that on the control panel B.
REPLACEMENT OF FILTERS
To replace or maintain the filters, simply proceed according to Fig. 2. When the filter replacement indicator B10 comes on, it indicates the end of the filter service life. The HEPA filter indicator (marked as FILTER 3 on the display) will come on after 3000 hours of operation, which corresponds to approximately six months of intensive use - after this time, the filter needs to be replaced (unless it was replaced earlier due to contamination and higher dust level in the surroundings). The carbon filter indicator (marked as FILTER 2 on the display) will come on after 3500 hours of operation and the pre-filter indicator (marked as FILTER 1 on the display) will come on after 4000 hours of operation. To restart the indication (once the filter has been replaced), press the button B10 and hold it for several seconds.
Attention
- When the front cover A6 is removed, the purifier will turn off and switch to the standby mode. When the cover is not fitted properly, the appliance cannot be put into operation.
IV. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance of the purifier includes cleaning the power unit body and replacement of filters.
Power unit
Only clean the power unit body with slightly damped cloth with non-aggressive cleaning agent added. You may use vacuum cleaner to clean the front part with discharge holes. Do not allow water to get inside! Let the purifier thoroughly dry out before using it again.
HEPA filter A3
To guarantee proper function and air purification quality, HEPA filter must be replaced in regular intervals. Never wash the filter to avoid reducing the filtration capacity of the filter; only knock it out, vacuum or blow it with compressed air – however this will not fully restore the filtration capacity of the filter.
Order code for a new filter: ETA356990200
Carbon filter A4
So that the carbon filter maintains its filtration properties, it needs to be replaced at regular intervals. Do not wash the filter, it can only be cleaned with a soft brush, vacuum cleaned or cleaned with compressed air. However, the filter will not regain its odour absorption ability this way.
Order code for a new filter: ETA356990100
Pre-filter A5
This filter can be washed under running water, shaken out, vacuum cleaned or cleaned with compressed air (however, pay attention to its intensity so as not to damage the filter as a result of high pressure). Clean the filter after about every 4 weeks of use.
Order code for a new filter: ETA356900010
If the purifier is used more often (e.g. intensively every day), faster contamination of the filter needs to be anticipated. Likewise, if the purifier is used in a highly polluted environment, the filter life will be shorter and vice versa. Please adjust the filter replacement frequency to the given conditions and the current state of the filters, preferably when the relevant filter replacement indicator B10 comes on.
Pollution sensor
Approximately after every 6 months of use, clean the pollution sensor cover with a soft brush. Open the cover and clean the sensor and its surroundings, including the cover, with a wet swab. After that, dry the sensor and its surroundings with a dry swab. Finally, close the sensor cover again.
Expert service must do the large maintenance or to intervene into inside parts of the appliance! Non-observance of the instructions of the manufacturer cancels the right for guarantee repair!
