IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read carefully – always maintain safety when working with any appliance.
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before operating.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
■ To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cords, plugs or appliances in water or any other liquid.
■ Do not leave any appliance unattended while it is operating.
■ Unplug from outlet when not in use or before cleaning. - Allow to cool before putting on or taking off any parts.

Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner.
If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
■ The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
■ Do not use outdoors. -
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact with any hot surfaces.
■ To disconnect-remove the plug from the outlet. Do not pull plug out by the cord. - Do not use this product for anything other than intended use.

No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by noncompliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
■ Use the toaster without bread for the first time. There will be some smoke at first; this is normal.
■ The toaster reaches very high temperatures, particularly in the area of the openings for the bread. - Bread may burn. Therefore this toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials.
- Do not place the cable or any other object over the bread openings whilst the toaster is in operation.

Do not attempt to dislodge food while the toaster is in operation.
■ Toasting lever must be in the 'UP' position before attaching or disconnecting the plug from wall outlet. -
Do not insert metal objects or other utensils into the toaster, as this will cause an electric shock or cause a fire.
- Do not leave the toaster unattended whilst in operation.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. - Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.

① Stop button
Pressing this button will stop the toasting cycle. The bread carriage will be raised.
② Reheat button
This button is specially designed to reheat toasted bread. Press this button once to activate this function and the indicator will light
③ Defrost button
This button is suitable for defrosting frozen bread. Press this button once to activate this function and the indicator will light.
④ Bread carriage lever
⑤ Browning level – choose from 1-5
occasionally.
How to toast bread:
① Put the plug into the socket and turn on the toaster using the bread carriage lever. Note: When using the appliance for the first time, it will emit some smoke. This is normal and it will stop by itself after a few minutes.
② Insert a slice of bread into the top slot for toasting.
③ Select the desired browning level from 1-5.
④ Press the carriage lever down gently until it latches, toasting will begin. Experiment to find the perfect toasting time. The optimal time varies depending on the freshness of the bread and what the bread consists of.
Do not use a knife, fork or other utensil to remove the bread from the toaster or to clean the toaster. If the bread becomes lodged in the toaster, unplug the appliance before attempting to remove it.
The top of the appliance becomes hot because metal conducts heat
so well. Therefore do not touch the outside of the toaster during use and keep well out of reach of children.
Cleaning instructions
■ Switch off and unplug toaster from the power outlet.
- Allow to cool before cleaning.
■ Wipe over exterior of toaster and cord with a soft damp sponge or cloth.
- Do not use abrasive or strong household cleaners as they will damage the finish.
■ The crumb tray will need to be cleaned occasionally.
■ Brush the crumbs from the tray using a small brush or cloth.
■ Slide the crumb tray back, ensuring it locks into place.
- Do not try to clean the inside of the toaster, as this may damage the heating elements.
- Do not submerge the toaster in water or other liquid.
Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE), such waste must be collected separately and processed. If in future you need to discard this product, please do not throw it out with your normal rubbish. Please send this product to a collection point where one is available.
