MATERIALS RECYCLING
Dispose of packaging materials in accordance with local regulations. Discarded units still have a certain residual value. Correct and environment-friendly disposal ensures that valuable raw materials can be recycled and used again.
The refrigerant used in the unit's refrigeration circuit requires special handling. The same applies to the insulation materials. Before disposal, ensure that the pipes on the rear of the unit are not damaged. Your local authority can supply information on where you can leave worn-out units and packaging materials.

SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! This appliance is not designed for use by unsupervised children.
GENERAL
This type of refrigerator/freezer is often used in places such as hotels, offices, student accommodation and private homes. It is primarily suitable for freezing and conserving foodstuffs such as fruits and beverages. Compactness, low weight, low power consumption and ease of use are just some of its advantages.
This manual contains important safety information that is to be followed by all users.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY WARNINGS
- When removing the freezer's plug from an outlet, do not pull it out by the power cable. Grip the plug firmly and pull this.
- Be careful not to damage the power cable. Do not use the freezer if the power cable is damaged or the plug is worn.
- A worn or damaged power cable must be replaced by an authorised workshop.
- Connect the freezer to an earthed power outlet that has a minimum 10 A rating (fuse protection). The power outlet must not be shared with other electrical appliances.
- The plug must be fully inserted in the outlet. There is otherwise a risk of fire. Ensure that the power outlet is correctly earthed.
- The freezer is designed for use at 220 – 240 V AC, 50 Hz. Voltage fluctuations of more than 10% from 220 – 240 V will give rise to faults or damage.
- As with all other electrical appliances, do not pull out the freezer's plug if there is a leak of a flammable gas. A spark could cause a fire here. Turn off the gas tap/valve and open doors and windows.
- To ensure safety, it is not recommended that other electrical appliances are placed on top of the freezer.
USER SAFETY WARNINGS
- Dismantling and/or repair of the freezer by an authorised person is not forbidden. Damaging the refrigerant pipes is forbidden. The freezer may be repaired and maintained by authorised technicians only.
- To avoid danger, a damaged power cable must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised workshop or similar.
- To guarantee good ventilation, leave sufficient free space around all sides of the freezer.
- The gaps between the freezer's door (lid) and its body are narrow. Be careful not to catch your fingers in these. Always close the freezer door carefully so that nothing topples over.
- Do not take food or containers out of the freezer compartment when it is running. Metal containers in particular can cause frostbite.
- Do not let children get into or climb onto the freezer.
- Do not spray or let water run onto/into the freezer. Avoid locating the freezer in places where it may get splashed with water. This can impair the freezer's electrical insulation.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the freezer. They can fall and cause damage when the freezer door is opened.
- When there is a power outage, or when you are cleaning the freezer, always pull the plug out of the outlet. Before connecting it to the power supply, let the freezer stand idle for five minutes. The compressor may otherwise be damaged by frequent starts.
OBJECT PLACEMENT WARNINGS
- Do not place combustible, explosive, volatile or strongly corrosive objects in the freezer. This can result in damage to the appliance and/or fire.
- Do not place combustible objects near the freezer. There is otherwise a risk of fire.
- This freezer is designed for domestic use and is suitable only for storing foodstuffs. In accordance with national standards, domestic freezers must not be used for other purposes (e.g. storing blood, pharmaceuticals or biological products).
- Do not place sealed bottles or other liquid-holding containers (e.g. bottles of beer) in the freezer. They can burst and cause damage.
DISPOSAL WARNINGS
The freezer's refrigerant (R600a) and its foam material (cyclopentane) are combustible. Discarded freezers should be kept away from sources of ignition. They must not be burned. To avoid all risk of environmental damage, take discarded freezers to an authorised, professional recycling facility.
To avoid the risk of children playing and getting trapped in discarded freezers, remove doors and shelves/baskets.
CORRECT FREEZER USE
COMPONENTS

Your freezer's functions and the accompanying accessories may not be exactly as detailed here. Refer to the packing list.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- Reliable operation: The freezer has an efficient compressor from a well-known manufacturer. This ensures excellent performance and high dependability.
• The door includes a high-quality foam. - The door has integrated seals that are easy to remove for cleaning.
- The freezer's refrigerant (R600a) and the blowing agent (cyclopentane) used for the insulating foam are environment-friendly choices.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
- Connect the freezer to a working power outlet. The "Power" indicator comes on. The "Run" indicator shines when the freezer is running. The "Alarm" indicator shines when the temperature in the freezer is too high.
- Use the thermostat knob to set freezer temperature. The numbers "1", "2", "3", "4", "5" and "6" do not represent specific temperatures. However, the lower the number, the higher the temperature in the freezer (and vice versa).
- When the thermostat knob is in the "OFF" position, the freezer is off.
LOCATION
- Before using the freezer, remove all packaging materials (this includes impact protection, foam rubber and tape from inside the freezer). Remove the protective film from the door and the sides of the freezer.
- Place the freezer indoors in a well-ventilated place. The surface must be flat and sturdy.
- Protect the freezer from heat sources and direct sunlight. Do not place the freezer in wet or damp environments. Rust can otherwise arise and impair insulation.
- There must be at least 70 cm clear space above the freezer and at least 20 cm clear space around the sides and the rear of the freezer. This is to facilitate opening, closing and heat dissipation.
- Use a warm damp cloth to wipe the interior and exterior of the freezer (add a little detergent to warm water and give a final wipe over with water only).
STARTING
Let the freezer run for two to three hours before placing fresh or frozen foodstuffs in it. In the summer, increase this time to 4 hours. This is because the ambient temperature is higher then.
FREEZER MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Before you start cleaning the freezer, pull the plug out of the power outlet.
- Clean with lukewarm water and then dry with a soft cloth.
- The door seals get dirty easily. A coating may build up. Clean frequently.
Do not rinse with water. This may impair the electrical insulation. Use a dry cloth to clean the thermostat knob and electrical components.
DEFROSTING
Defrost the freezer manually. Disconnect the freezer from the power supply. Before defrosting, open the freezer door and remove foodstuffs and containers. Open the outflow/drain holes. Place a suitable container below the outflow hole. The ice in the freezer will gradually melt. Use a dry, soft cloth to dry up the meltwater. When the ice has softened, an ice scraper can be used to remove the ice more quickly. Before removing freezer accessories, and throughout defrosting, place and keep foodstuffs in a cool place.
Other than those recommended by the manufacturer, do not use any mechanical devices or other products to accelerate defrosting. Do not damage the refrigeration circuit.
SWITCHING OFF
If there is a power outage, foodstuffs remain frozen for a few hours, even in the summer. In the event of a power outage, open the freezer door as seldom as possible and do not place any unfrozen goods in the freezer.
Prior to cleaning, and if the freezer is not to be used for a long time, pull the plug out of the power outlet. At such times, keep the door slightly open. This avoids bad odours building up.
Do not place the freezer on any of its sides or upside down. Maximum angle during transport is 45^ . The freezer must not be exposed to vibrations. Secure the door and hinges when moving the freezer.
We recommend running the freezer continuously once it has been started. While conditions remain normal, do not move the freezer. Moving could shorten the freezer's service life.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The following simple problems can be dealt with by the user. Please contact our customer service department if the freezer presents any problems that you cannot solve yourself.
| Compressor running for an abnormally long time | It is normal for the freezer's compressor to run for longer periods in the summer when the ambient temperature is higher.Do not have too much food in the freezer at any one time.Do not put foodstuffs into the freezer before they have cooled. The freezer door is being opened too often.Thick ice layer (defrosting required). |
| Interior light not working Check that the unit is connected to a working power supply.Check that the light is intact. | |
| Freezer door does not close fully | Check that there is nothing blocking the door.Check that there is not too much food in the freezer.Check that the freezer is not at an angle. |
| Noisy operation Check that the foodstuffs are stably positioned.Check that the freezer is standing firmly and balanced.Check that all parts of the freezer are in the correct positions. | |
| Door not opening easily After freezing, there is a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the freezer. This can make it temporarily difficult to open the door. This is entirely correct and normal. | |
Heat:
- Especially in the summer, the freezer may give off heat when it is running. This is heat radiated by the compressor and is entirely normal.
- Condensation: When air humidity is high, condensation may form on the freezer's exterior and the door's seals. This is entirely normal. The condensation can be removed with a dry towel.
- Gurgling: Circulation in the refrigerant lines can produce gurgling noises. This does not affect functionality.
- Humming: There may be a humming noise when the compressor is running (especially during starting and stopping).
- Clicking: There is a click when the solenoid valve (electric switch valve) operates. This is entirely normal and does not affect freezer functionality.
