How to use the refrigerator

Placement

- Before use, remove all packing materials, including bottom cushions, foam pads and tapes from inside the refrigerator; tear off the protective film on the doors and the refrigerator body.

• Keep away from heat and avoid direct sunlight. Do not place the appliance in a damp or wet location, to prevent rust or a reduction in insulation performance.
• Do not spray or wash the refrigerator; do not put the appliance in a damp location where it could easily be splashed with water, which could impair the electrical insulation of the refrigerator.

- The appliance should be placed in a well-ventilated indoor location on a firm and level floor (turn the feet left or right to adjust the height if the floor is uneven).

- There should be at least 30 cm clearance above the appliance, and at least 10 cm clearance from the wall, to facilitate heat dissipation.

1. Unplug the refrigerator, and remove all items from the door trays.
2. Remove the upper hinge cover, upper hinge and hole cap.

2. Install the bottom hinge assembly and adjustable foot on the other side, then install the stopper and sleeve pipe from the freezer door on the other side.

Remove the stopper from the bottom right side of the refrigerator compartment door and save it for future use. Take out the spare stopper for the refrigerator compartment door from the accessory package, and install it on the other side.

Using the refrigerator for the first time

• Before switching on for the first time, allow the refrigerator to stand for half an hour before plugging it in.
• Before placing any fresh or frozen food in the appliance let it run for 2–3 hours, or at least 4 hours in summer when the ambient temperature is high.

- Leave enough space to allow the doors and drawers to open easily, or follow the distributor's recommendations.

Energy-saving tips

• The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from hot appliances or heating ducts, and out of direct sunlight. - Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run for longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may deteriorate in quality, or spoil.

• Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the appliance. • The appliance storage bin should not be lined with aluminium foil, wax paper, or paper towelling. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.
• Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.

Refrigerator compartment

• The refrigerator compartment is suitable for storing a variety of fruits, vegetables, beverages and other food that will be consumed in the short term. - Hot food should not be placed in the refrigerator compartment until it has cooled to room temperature. - It is recommended that food is wrapped or sealed before it is placed in the refrigerator. - The glass shelves can be adjusted up or down to create the required amount of storage space and allow easy use.

Freezer compartment

• The low-temperature freezer compartment can keep food fresh for a long time and is mainly used for storing frozen food and making ice.
• The freezer compartment is suitable for the storage of meat, fish and other food that will not be consumed in the short term.
• Large pieces of meat should preferably be divided into smaller pieces for convenient use. Please note that food must be consumed within the recommended storage time.

Note: If you put too much food in the appliance immediately after switching it on it is likely to reduce the refrigeration performance.

• Turn the temperature control knob to MAX to lower the internal temperature of the refrigerator.
• Turn the temperature control knob to MIN to raise the internal temperature of the refrigerator.
• The markings on the control only indicate the temperature level, not a specific temperature. When it is set to "OFF" the appliance is turned off.

NOTE: Adjust the setting between "MAX" and "MIN".

Maintenance and care

General cleaning

- Regularly remove dust from behind the refrigerator and from the floor to improve cooling performance and save energy. The interior of the refrigerator should be cleaned regularly to avoid odors. It is recommended to use soft towels or a sponge dipped in water and non-corrosive neutral detergents for cleaning. The freezer should be cleaned with clean water and a dry cloth. Open the door to allow natural drying before turning the power back on.

- Do not use hard brushes, steel wool, wire brushes, abrasives such as toothpaste, organic solvents (alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, or acidic or alkaline detergents to clean the refrigerator, as this may damage the surface and interior of the appliance.

- Do not rinse with water, as this may affect electrical insulation properties.

Please unplug the refrigerator before defrosting and cleaning.

Defrosting

• Turn off the refrigerator.
• Remove the food from the refrigerator and place it in a cool location to prevent spoilage.
• Clear the drain pipe (use a soft material to avoid damaging the liner). Prepare water containers for defrosting. (Do not forget to clean the compressor compartment water tray, avoiding spillage on the floor.)
• You can allow the appliance to defrost naturally, and use an ice scoop to remove the frost (use a plastic or wooden ice scoop to avoid damaging the liner or pipes).
• You can also use an appropriate amount of hot water to speed up defrosting, and use a dry towel to dry the water from defrosting.
• After defrosting, place the food back in the compartment and turn on the refrigerator.

Out of operation

• Power cut: If there is a power cut, even in summer, food can be kept safely inside the appliance for several hours. During this period, the door should be opened for the shortest time possible, and no more fresh food should be put into the appliance.
• Long periods of non-use: The appliance should be unplugged and then cleaned, and the doors should be left open to prevent odors.
• Moving: Before the refrigerator is moved, remove all the items from inside, secure the glass partitions, vegetable holder, freezing compartment drawers, etc. with tape; tighten the levelling feet; close the doors and seal them with tape. During moving, the appliance must not be laid upside down or horizontally, or be subjected to vibration. The appliance must not be tilted by more than 45° while being moved.

The appliance should be left to run continuously once it is switched on. Generally, the operation of the appliance should not be interrupted, otherwise the service life may be reduced.
