Before operating the TV, please read “Safety Information” and retain this manual for the future reference.

Safety information

Installation/Set-up

Install and use the TV set in accordance with the instructions below in order to avoid any risk of fire, electrical shock or damage and/or injuries.

Installation

The TV set should be installed near an easily accessible AC power outlet.

Place the TV set on stable, level surface to avoid it form falling down and cause personal injury or damage to the TV.

Only qualified service personnel should carry out wall installations.

For safety reasons, it is strongly recommended that you use V DIGI Accessories.

Transporting

Before transporting the TV set, disconnect all cables.

Two or more people are needed to transport a large TV set

When transport the TV set hand, hold it as shown on the right. Do not put stress on the panel.

When lifting or moving the TV set, hold it firmly from the bottom.

When transporting the TV set, do not subject it to jolts or excessive vibration.

When transporting the TV set for repairs or when moving, pack it using the original carton and packing material.

Ventilation

Never cover the ventilation holes or insert anything in the cabinet.

Leave space around the TV set

To ensure proper ventilation and prevent the collection of dirt or dust.

Do not lay the TV set flat, install upside down, backwards, or sideways.

Do not pace the TV set on a shelf, rug, bed or in a closet.

Do not cover the TV set with a cloth, such as curtains, or item such as newspaper, etc.

AC power cord

Handle the AC power cord and outlet as follows in order to avoid any risk of fire, electrical shock or damage and/or injuries:

Use only V DIGI supplied AC power cords, not those of other brands.

Insert the plug fully into the AC power outlet

Operate the TV set on a 110-240V AC supply only.

When wiring cables, be sure to unplug the AC power cord for your safety and take care not to catch your feet on the cables.

Disconnect the AC power cord form the AC power outlet before working on or moving the TV set.

Keep the AC power cord away form heat sources.

Unplug the AC power plug and clean it regularly. If the plug is covered with dust and it picks up moisture, its insulation may deteriorate, which could result in a fire.

Notes:

Do not use the supplied AC power cord on any other equipment.

Do not pinch, bend, or twist the AC power cord excessively. The core conductors may be exposed or broken.

Do not modify the AC power cord.

Do not put anything heavy on the AC power cord.

Do not pull on the AC power cord itself when disconnecting the AC power cord.

Do not connect too many appliances to the same AC power outlet.

Do not use a poor fitting AC power outlet.

Prohibited Usage

Do not install/use the TV set in locations, environments or situations such as those listed below, or the TV set may malfunction and cause a fire, electrical shock, damage and/or injuries.

Location

Outdoors (in direct sunlight), at the seashore, on a ship or other vessel, inside a vehicle, in medical institutions, unstable locations, near water, rain, moisture or smoke.

Environment

Places that are hot, humid, or excessively dusty; where insects may enter; where it might be exposed to mechanical vibration, near flammable objects (candles, etc). The TV shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the TV.

Situation

Do not use when your hands are wet, with the cabinet removed, or with attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Disconnect the TV set from AC power outlet and antenna during lightning storms.

Broken pieces

Do not throw anything at the TV set. The screen glass may break by the impact and cause serious injury.

If the surface of the TV set cracks, do not touch it until you have unplugged the AC power cord. Otherwise electric shock may result.

When not in use

If you will not be using the TV set for several days, the TV set should be disconnected from the AC power for environmental and safety reasons.

As the TV set is not disconnected from the AC power when the TV set is just turned off, pull the plug from the AC power outlet to disconnect the TV set completely.

However, some TV set may have features that require the TV set to be left in standby to work correctly.

For children

Do not allow children to climb on the TV set.

Keep small accessories out of the reach of children, so that they are not mistakenly swallowed.

If the following problems occur

Turn off the TV set and unplug the AC power cord immediately if any of the following problems occur. Ask your dealer or V DIGI service centre to have it checked by qualified service personnel.

When:

AC power cord is damaged.

Poor fitting of AC power outlet.

TV set is damaged by being dropped, hit or having something thrown at it.

Any liquid or solid object falls through opening in the cabinet.

Precautions

Viewing the TV

View the TV in moderate light, as viewing the TV in poor light or during long period of time, strains your eyes.

When using headphones, adjust the volume so as to avoid excessive levels, as hearing damage may result.

Screen

Although the LED screen is made with high-precision technology and 99.99% or more of the pixels are effective, black dots may appear or bight points of light (red, blue, or green) may appear constantly on the screen. This is a structural property of the screen and is not a malfunction.

Do not push or scratch the front filter, or place object on top of this TV set. The image may be uneven or the screen may be damaged.

If this TV set is used in a cold place, smear may occur in the picture or the picture may become dark. This does not indicate a failure. These phenomena disappear as the temperature rises.

Ghosting may occur when still pictures are displayed continuously. It may disappear after a few moments.

The screen and cabinet get warm when this TV set is in use. This is not a malfunction.

The screen contains a small amount of liquid crystal. Mercury is sometimes

contained depending on the kind of fluorescent tubes. Follow your local ordinances and regulations for disposal.

Handing and cleaning the screen surface/cabinet of the TV set

Be sure to unplug the AC power cord connected to the TV set form AC power outlet before cleaning.

To avoid material degradation or screen coating degradation, observe the following precautions.

Safety Strap

Caution: Pushing, pulling or climbing on the TV may cause the TV falling. Do not let children climb or hang on the TV. Always place the TV on a sturdy, level, stable surface that can hold the weight of TV. And if possible, secure the TV according to the instruction below (Note: The fastening components such as screws are not supplied with TV).

Step one: Insert the M6 mounting screws into the upper two wall mounting screw holes and fasten them (Figure A).

Step two: Insert anchors to wall and connect the bolts and anchors with ropes or chains(Figure B).

Your TV is packaged with the TV stand separated from the cabinet. To setup the TV table stand, please carry out the installation according to the instructions below.

Step One

Place the TV faced down on a soft cloth or cushion to prevent the panel from being damaged.

Note:

  1. The panel is easy to scratch, so please choose an absolutely flat surface to place the TV, and use soft cloth or cushion to protect the TV panel. Do not put TV on table directly.
  2. Always unplug the cord first when installing or removing the stand.

Step Two

Insert the neck into the opening on the bottom of the TV, and then insert the 4 screws into the 4 holes on the neck and tighten them.

Step Three

Take the base. Please align four holes of the base and four screwholes of the neck, insert the base to the neck, and then insert the 3 screws and tighten them.

INPUT: Displays the Source Select List.
MENU: Displays the TV Main Menu.
CH▼: Scans down through the channel list. In the TV menu system, it acts like the down arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.
CH▲: Scans up through the channel list. In the TV menu system, it acts like the up arrow on the remote control and can be used to select menu options.

Basic Operation

Power On/Off

  1. Connect the TV unit to the wall outlet using power cord.
  2. When the power indicator is in red, the TV is in standby mode. Now press the "POWER" button on remote control or "POWER" button on side panel to turn on the TV. The TV work normally when the power indicator is in blue.
  3. Switch the TV to standby mode, just press "POWER" button on the remote control or the "POWER" button on side panel. Now the indicator will be in red.
  4. If unused for a long time in standby mode, please disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

Note: The TV set will display "No signal" while there is no signal input.

Select Viewing Source

Press the "SOURCE" button to display the sources list. Please use the ▲▼ buttons to select desired signal, and press ENTER to confirm.

Adjusting Volume

The volume can be adjusted continuously by pressing VOL+/VOL- on the remote control.

Press MUTE button on the remote control to mute the sound. You can release mute by pressing MUTE or increase the TV's volume.

Press the "MENU" and ◀▶ buttons to browse the CHANNEL Menu, Picture Menu, Sound Menu, Time Menu, Option Menu, Lock Menu.

Press ▲▼ button to select items and ENTER button to adjust it.

  • When an item in MENU is displayed gray, it means that the item is not available or cannot be adjusted.

Record

Press the RED button to display the recorder menu. Setting the schedule for starting, ending and recording mode. After confirmation, programs will start recording to USB device.

NOTE:

  1. The display time of EPG is pre-play, and individual program will be 3-5 minutes later than EPG time because of the breaks (for example, news or Advertisement). The TV supports the following files including movie, music, photo and text. For PHOTO, it supports file formats among JPEG, BMP, PNG. For MUSIC, it supports MP3, WMA file format. For MOVIE, it supports MP4, MPEG, MKV, AVI, MPG, RMVB file format. For TEXT, it supports TXT. NOTE: The special algorithm documents may not be supported by the USB.

Setup the PVR File system before you start recording.

Select Disk: Select the device for the Record files.

Check PVR File System

USB Disk: Display the USB state.

Format: Format the USB device for PVR operating.

Time Shift Size: Display the recording size of the USB device.

(The device has been formatted).

Speed: Display the recording speed of the USB device.

(The device has been formatted.

Free Record Limit: Display the free record limit of USB device. (The device has been formatted).

As follows, default as C.

Choose the disc to store whatever content need record.

NOTE: please format your hard disk before use the PVR function for the first time.

Check storage equipment PVR File System is well established. Press ENTER button to

inspect the USB files system and speed, the processing shows Checking... ;

When USB is not inserted, or inspection failed, it shows FAIL;

When USB is inserted but didn't be formatted, enter

Format menu;

If inspection is normal, it shows SUCCESS.

At Format stage, press ENTER button to start formatting the USB.

PVR File system is being built at this stage, during the USB recognition process, the OSD media reminds user not to plug out the USB.

After Formatting, the PVR File system is built.

When finish Creating PVR file system, it pop out Time Shift Size setting menu, and clients can set the space size for time shift as follows.

Record Start

When you finish the settings above, you could start recording by pressing the REP/REC button on the remote control.

Digital program recording

Insert a U disk, select settings menu under the PVR File System option, and before it you should back up your USB data to prevent any data loss.

Warning: Make sure you have a backup of your external memory data which you use for recording function.

The recording time depends on the USB storage capacity. Select recording program channel in EPG. Press REP/REC to enter the submenu, recording begins when press ENTER button, press the STOP button to stop the recording or it will stop automatically when the storage data is full.

Record buttons

REP/REC: Press to enter the recording mode.

PAUSE: Press to enter the timeshift mode.

DVR.LIST: Press to display the recording list.

■ Stop: Press to stop recording.

a. You could change the display mode of Recording menu by REP/REC

c. Press PLAY button to play the program you are recording from the beginning.
d. Press DVR.LIST button to display the Recorder list, and you could play the program you selected. Press MENU button to return to the DVR.LIST.
e. After finish to record a program, press DVR.LIST button to display the Recorder list. Press ENTER/PLAY button to play the

program. Press red button to delete the program. Press Green button to display the information.

Timeshift

The function of USB Timeshift means to record the digital TV programs for later watching. By recording the digital TV programs into storage device, the users may temporarily leave the TV set, and come back to watch the program saved in the storage device after a while. At the same time, the program continues to be recorded.

In DTV mode, Press PAUSE button to enter the Timeshift mode.

Note: a. You could change the mode of Timeshift menu by PAUSE button.

b. Press STOP button to exit the Timeshift mode.
c. Press PLAY button to play the program you are recording from the beginning.

Timer Recording

In EPG menu, press red button or REP/REC button to display Recorder menu.

Set the Recording Timer

The TV will record the program automatically according to your settings.

TITLE: Display the name of the recording program.

Start Time: Set the start recording time.

End Time: Set the end recording time.

Mode: select the record mode.

Press ENTER button to save the setting and exit the menu, then TV will display the schedule list.

When timer recording is set, the TV can be placed into standby. The unit will then activate the recording when the time is reached and then return to standby mode when the end time is reached.

  1. At least 1G USB capacity should be used.
  2. All contents save will be lost after USB formatting, please back up the data before formatting. USB disk with virus contents may cause failure of recognition.
  3. PVR function is only available in DTV.
