Frequently Asked Questions - 646-105 Melissa

What is the maximum capacity of the blender glass?
The blender glass has a maximum capacity of 1.5 liters (1500 ml). Do not fill above this mark to avoid spillage and damage.
Can I blend hot liquids in this blender?
No, never pour boiling liquid or very hot food into the blender glass. Hot liquids can cause pressure buildup, making the lid pop off and causing burns. Allow food to cool sufficiently before blending.
How long can I run the blender continuously?
Do not run the blender for more than 1 minute at a time. After each minute of operation, let it cool down for at least 1 minute before using again.
What should I do if the blender does not start?
The blender has a safety switch that prevents operation unless all parts are correctly assembled. Ensure the glass, lid, and cap are properly fitted. If it still doesn't start, check the power connection and that the appliance is not overheated.
Can I crush ice in this blender?
Yes, but always add liquid (e.g., water or juice) to the blender glass when crushing ice. Never operate the blender with ice alone.
How do I clean the blender?
Unplug and let cool. Wipe the motor section with a damp cloth. The glass, lid, and cap are dishwasher safe. Be careful not to touch the sharp blades when cleaning.
What does the P position do?
The P (Pulse) setting allows short bursts of high-speed blending. Turn and hold the button to 'P', and release to stop. It's useful for chopping or mixing without over-processing.
Is the measuring cap removable?
Yes, the cap can be removed and used as a measuring cup. It has a scale on it. Always switch off the blender before removing the cap to add ingredients.
What should I do if the appliance gets damaged?
If the cord, plug, or appliance is damaged, do not use it. Have it inspected by an authorized repair engineer. Unauthorized repairs void the warranty. Contact the store where you purchased it.
How do I store the blender?
Ensure the appliance is clean and dry. You can wrap the cord around the cord storage holders at the bottom of the motor section. Store in a dry place out of reach of children.

  • Keep the appliance under constant supervision while in use. Keep an eye on children.
  • The appliance contains sharp parts - keep out of the reach of children.
  • Use only accessories supplied with the appliance or those recommended by the manufacturer.
  • NOTE! This appliance is provided with a safety switch to prevent starting the appliance unintentionally. • Do not use the appliance if the blender glass is cracked or damaged in any way.
  • Never put tools or your hands into the blender glass while the appliance is switched on. Please note that the blade may still rotate for a while after you switch off the appliance.
  • Be careful not to touch the sharp edges of the blades during use and cleaning!
